The few comments earlier were actually from my 8 years old girl. 😅 She was watching it on my account. She absolutely loves National Geography channel and books. I am so happy that she has shown great interests in the animal ones recently.
@@asharali6388 actually they are talking about precipitation. There is some running water or still water which is safe in the "Lomas" you see, the green spots in the desert. That's where the fog settles.
The fact that they’ve been named Coots, they run like that, and their fighting style is the way it is and the brawl they got into 😂😂😂 how could you not laugh 🤣
Thank you for this great filming,, the narration was also very good too,. Until this morning I didn't know this harsh part of Chile existed, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you :) :)

If Nat Geo Wild had a patreon, I would like to donate. These shows are very informative and will teach children to appreciate nature. It's a good contribution if it can educate young people about nature.
Thank you so much nat geo. 💕💕💕💕 I love your channel so much 💗💗💗💗and love animals 😻😻😻😻too. Please keep updating new videos. I love to watch about 🐋 and 🐬. And also about 🦁 and 🐅
I suddenly remembered the Law of the Jungle episode where they survived in wasteland at Chile. Also climbing the mountain at 5,000m altitude. At the end of their journey, they saw many animals and flamingoes swimming in a lake at 5,000m altitude. At 6,000+m altitude, there is a volcano. It was called Patacona, i guess. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Just sharing here what I watched. Edit: they also climb the icey mountain. I guess their goal was 3,000m altitude? I am not so sure but it was also raining when they were doing their task. Same with the people who climb the 5,000m altitude mountain. They also found a father and 2 sons with their farm so they asked if they can harvest some. Idk what altitude was that but I was amazed how people can live at such remote and high altitude.
What on earth do you mean? Nat Geo has been around forever, all they do is scientific research. I’m assuming you’re triggered by the subject of climate change. Get used to it princess, climate change is real and no amount of sticking your head in the sand will change that fact. 🙄
I really enjoyed watching this beautiful video. However, the animals of the Atacama aren't the only ones that struggle for survival. We have overdeveloped too many areas of our planet with little space for wildlife to survive in its natural habitat. When I lived in Florida I saw drastic change in its environment for over 25 years and then moved to SC where I've witnessed the destruction of forests and wetlands. When will mankind stop ravaging the Earth and realize it's our job to protect it?
Keep making more and more Nat geo wild videos on your youtube channel no more making any more long videos on your youtube channel only short videos on your youtube channel ok Nat geo wild love you so much and the animals too
Salute to the narrator, special talent.

I think the title should say "Life without rain" as there is some water coming from other sources.

They are stupid. They were "defending" their territory from an intruder that they lured, what was the point of that for them
