I sure hope to find more interesting communities like that to walk around. I think there is a lot that people don't envision as places to live in Nicaragua. Los Altos de Veracruz in a few weeks, I think.

I like this neighborhood. Those are some really cute houses. I grew up in a city and from the age of 5 or 6 I would be sent to the corner store to pick up a newspaper or something nearly every day. I'm happy to report I was never kidnapped or murdered. Now most of those corner stores have been bought by dev lopers and turned into condos 😢.

@@ScottAlanMillerVlog watching your videos has lead me to some really negative videos about Nicaragua. I just watched one titled "Should you live in Nicaragua? As a gringo expat?" With a couple of horror stories (beginning at about 8:25 in the video if you want to check it out) by "Travel Costa Rica NOW". There's some wild comments on there, too 😳. I realize given the name of his RUclips channel, he must make money from getting people to move to Costa Rica, but that's some scary stuff!!

    • @ScottAlanMillerVlog
      @ScottAlanMillerVlog  Год назад +2

Nothing real is scary. Remember that Nicaragua is safer than the US or Costa Rica. So logically if you find Nicaragua scary, it would rule out ALL of the Western Hemisphere as only Canada is in the same category of safety.

The video you linked is one of mine talking about doggies getting into trash, lol.

@@ScottAlanMillerVlog I wasn't trying to link to the video. RUclips automatically posts a link to the video you're commenting on when you type in a time like that. I can't comment a link to the video, so I commented the channel and title of the video I was referring to. You'd have to search for it on RUclips if you want to see it. The time stamp is for that video if you want to skip right to the crazy stories.

Nice video. I had often wondered about Ciudad Sandino. I would like to see the gated part of Fatima. Especially inside one of the houses.

I showed just the tiniest bit of Residencia Fatima (gated) several months ago. But we only got a little bit of one house. It's a nice area, lots of interesting houses and spots. They tend to be on the small side, but bigger than these in the residencia in Ciudad Sandino. I'll definitely try to get up there and film more.

They work really well when you have access to them. They are pretty attractive. One of the southern avenidas by me has some nice ones under some trees.

Could you explain what would be the best modes of cashflow for an expat in Nicaragua? Thanks for all the quality Vids. Love them.

You mean as a source of income? or just ways to move what you already have?

    • @allencrist5797

I'm not sure I understand the question either, if you are talking about getting cash out of a bank, use something like a Charles Schwab Investor Checking Account. You can get $1,000.00 per day with NO ATM fees.

He has some of that in the videos. For our 3 bedroom house (only 2 of us that live here though):
I live in Léon (near Scott)
      Rent: $380/month
Security Guard: $20/month (shared cost with condo area)
      Electricity: Between $150 and $200/month
      Water: $6/month (yeah, $6)
Internet: $46 (20 Mbps Fiber and Cable TV) plus taxes - I am an IT Consultant and a power user, 20 Mpbs is PLENTY - Even does Ultra High Def Netflix fine.
      Taxes, not sure, I rent.
      I hope this helps!
