i mean yeah if you have multiple instruments then obviously you cant have all of them playing to 100% of what they are capable of, that's just a mess. You also can't have an entire song at just 100% intensity the entire time that gets very boring very fast. Not sure why you're pointing out the obvious lol. Every instrument "showing off" would be too much in the middle of a song/for an entire song
