Came here right after watching the movie. Thank for taking the time and effort to list and explain all the differences to the book.

I remember the ghost of jack helping them out in the end of the book. Dan and jack share a moment at the end or something like that.

I kinda feel bad for the ghost from the over look hotel I don’t think abara was nice when she locked her up

I was debating reading this book or not--thought it may ruin the first. But it actually doesn't sound half bad. Maybe I will give it a shot. Though, I agree, that ending sounds a bit unnecessary. Also, love the idea of this channel!

Thanks! I thought it was a good, quick read. I think it had more suspense than the movie, which kept me reading longer.

@Melissa, I definitely enjoyed the ending in the book better than in the movie!

@Melissa Thanks so much for the incite, I actually didn't realize it was written in 2013 until I saw this video. So I will keep all this in mind when reading. Thanks! =)

Why didnt you do the Shining (but you only did its sequal for some reason even though its less known) or one of stephan kings most popular books named IT

I was reading this book at the time 🤷🏻‍♀️
IT is roughly 1160 pages, and its counterparts are a 3 hour miniseries and two movies totaling 5 hours. While I’d love to do a video on IT (it would probably be several), it would be extremely time consuming and I do this in my free time, so unfortunately, it’s not at the top of my list 😕

honestly liked the movie dr sleep better than the shining

I think that’s fair. I kind of do, too, because I think Doctor Sleep is less of a horror movie and can appeal to a larger audience.

I liked it more too since there was more explanation about what the shining was. It was good to go back and watch the shining with a new perspective also.
