This looks like the best bag to start with since I have never made one before. I like the style and if I get brave, I may try to extend the length of the flap to give me some extra room for tooling. The pretty blue color was enjoyable to watch for a change.
I have now made two of theese - one with 80% scale, and the patterns are very nice to work with. I will absolutely have to try your other patterns also :-) Thanks.

I don't have a printer so I made my own pattern (my bag is a little bigger than yours), I also lined my bag with a lightweight leather. The punch I used is 1mm.
And the thread I used is vinomo MBT #5.

What's the black material, with sticky back, you put between the leather layers which provides puffiness?
The material you mentioned is a soft sponge with a thickness of about 1.25 mm. It has an adhesive sheet attached to one side.
