Secure Folder
Protect your most sensitive apps and media for added peace of mind. Secure Folder keeps your work and personal information safely hidden away, requiring a separate PIN for access. You can even disguise the folder with a fake name and icon to fool thieves.
To set up a secure folder:
Go to Moto Secure : Secure folder
Follow the on-screen prompts
Choose a lock method
Add desired apps
Note: If you have forgotten your secure folder login you will need to delete the secure folder. Go to Settings : Security & Privacy : More security settings : Secure folder : Delete secure folder : Enter phone password
Secure Folder Settings
To adjust secure folder settings:
Go to Moto Secure : Secure folder
Unlock folder
Touch
Choose setting to adjust:
Unlock secure folder - Remove the lock requirement
Disguised icons - Hide your secure folder in plain sight by assigning a disguised icon and disguised app name.
Stealth mode - Make the app icon invisible and access your secure folder via Moto Secure or Settings : Security : More security settings
Change lock - choose a lock method for your secure folder
Notification manager - choose what information is included in notifications from sensitive apps.
Apps - manage applications
Accounts - manage passwords and accounts
Delete secure folder
Network protection
Get warnings when connecting to unsecure networks.
Go to Moto Secure : Network protection
Enable/disable desired options:
Wi-Fi security - Get warnings when your device connects to unsecured Wi-Fi networks.
Hotspot - Get warnings when a weak protocol is selected.
Wi-Fi blocklist - Block apps from a list when your device is on open connection.
Lock screen security
Go to Moto Secure : Lock screen security
Enable/disable desired options:
Lock after screen timeout - 5 seconds after timeout, except when kept unlocked by Smart Lock
Power button instantly locks - Except when kept unlocked by Smart Lock
Lock Network and security - Network and security related functions can remain locked when your screen is locked
Other options
PIN pad scramble - See a different PIN pad configuration each time you unlock your device.
Permission manager - Control which apps have access to your data by managing app permissions.
Privacy dashboard - See what permissions apply to your apps. See what those apps are doing with your data.
