I've always wanted a Border and I finally got one after my beloved lab/border passed at 16. She is going on 4 years old now and she is everything Borders are known for, both pros and cons. I have no complaints as the pros far outweigh the cons, just like all good things in life. She learns so quickly that it amazes me sometimes. She integrated right into my large family of other dogs, chickens, cats, and rabbits. I honestly prefer her company to humans most of the time. She is a bit of a trickster as she will do stuff just to get me to react. It would be something naughty but never too naughty but enough my attention. She always comes when I call except sometimes, she will just stop a distance away from me and stare at me saying 'why are you hollering for me', I'm right here in front of you, lol.

Nice story. Exactly why I am getting one. I have waited 40+ years for this dog--I just didn't have the time to devote to a dog, especially a border. I hope have him/maybe her by the end of the year.
