@@MindtheGAS any of the JHS. Just want to have a fuzz pedal that kinda does everything. But I tend to lean towards the BOSS one. What’s your take on this? TIA! 🤘
@fadlyhans82 to be honest, I didn't connect much with the FZ-1W, but I know others love it, so I guess it's a matter of personal taste. It does have a nice vintage character, but I wouldn't say it's very versatile. I feel it's one of those fuzz pedals that is great mainly for lead guitar and playing on single notes also for the rhythm parts, but it's not too good for chords or higher gain. Quite frequently fuzz pedals are one-trick-ponies. Out of the fuzz pedals I've tried, my personal favourite and really versatile is the Drunk Beaver Taras Bulba V2. It has a great variety of tones from vintage to modern, covering both fuzz face and tone bender tones and I couldn't get one bad sound out of it. Plus, if you like velcro-ish tones, it sounds extremely good and with the velcro knob you can perfectly fine tune it.
@@MindtheGAS thank you so much for the honest inputs and recommendation! Watched your video for the demo of the Taras Bulba. Another great representation of a fuzz pedal. I’ve jumped back and forth wanting to hear what I will do with a fuzz pedal. I want to get the BOSS this time round. Once I grasp the usage of a fuzz pedal, I will get G.A.S. on them. Btw, gonna watch more videos of yours. IMHO, you demoed pedals great with jams of yours. 🤘🤘🤘
@fadlyhans82 thank you for your kind words! I really appreciate it as well as the support! If you feel the Boss is really appealing to you, you should go for it. I always trust my instinct for guitar gear purchases and rarely regret it.
I really2 want to get this pedal. Just contemplating it between the JHS ones.
Which one are you thinking from JHS?
