    Short answer: Yes it is!
The only thing I miss is the new graphics. Sure the old is nice, but the new is even cooler!
I also have Jellyfish-chorus, and Cold War Bat (Rat)

in terms of characters and gain quantity, how does this differ to OD like BD-2, for example?

Well thanks to the added clipping options, saturation knob and brightness switch this pedal is much more versatile than the BD-2. But the most important is that it has a beautiful tone and clarity compared to the BD-2, which seems a bit dull and mid-scooped to my ears, especially at higher gain settings. The Inglorious Bastard maintains its clarity and note-definition even with gain maxed, while the BD-2 becomes muddy and unusable in my opinion. Other than that they are both low to mid gain overdrives, but on the Inglorious you can shape every gain setting to sound great.

Better BB choice, This or Limelight v2?

I haven't tried the Limelight so I can't really compare them. To me though the Inglorious Bastard is pretty much all I could ask from a BB.
From what I understand it has more tone shaping options than the Limelight, although the Limelight has the boost in case you find that useful. Personally I rarely like or use a boost on an overdrive/distortion pedal. Plus I always appreciate the affordability and pedalboard-friendly size of the Drunk Beaver pedals.
