We were able to score HS Moonlight Magic tickets within the first year of becoming DVC members. We feel very fortunate to have been able to experience such a wonderful event so quickly. It solidified how happy we were to finally be in the club!!
Can you guys do a video about fun things to do at each individual DVC resort. For instance, I’m staying at the beach club in October and I rented a cabana at the pool and then I’m taking a pontoon boat from the beach club to see Luminous. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.🎉
Hi Robert! Thank you for your support. We will add it to our list. We have a similar video, but it’s time for a refresh and we can go resort by resort. Thanks for the suggestion!
Finally a "Moonlight magic" when we are there 😊, once before there was one but then it was cancelled. And at AK for us so it won't be late in the evening.
Over 15 years ago, my mother and I got extraordinarily lucky as we caught a very unique DVC member weekend event at WDW. On the first day, we started in Epcot to attend a culinary guest speaker event regarding baked delicacies at WDW and they gave us all a cookbook. Then later that afternoon we moved over to Hollywood Studios and had a buffet dinner spread on the tarmac of the Stunt Racing arena which was followed by an exclusive tour of the Osbourne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights (our group even got to flip the switch to turn on the lights). The 2nd day, we moved over to Magic Kingdom for a luncheon and a special viewing area for the Christmas parade and to our surprise we got an exclusive tour of the Dream Suite at the top of the Castle. That was a truly Magical weekend that we would never have experienced except for being DVC members at the right place at the right time.
I wish you guys had a panel member who was only resale. So they can be the true voice of sorrow of those of us who miss out on some of the direct benefits lol
Good show this morning. I plan my usual 8-night December-January vacation every year BUT when Moonlight Magic gets announced it’s a good reason to plan another short trip down for one of the events. I will probably plan for the Hollywood Studios event in September and also include MNSSHP. 😂 I have been pretty lucky to get into 5 everts with 1 being cancelled during covid the other cancelled during Ian.
We were able to attend our 1st Moonlight Magic last January in Epcot. It was amazing getting to use the snack coupons at the booth. We tried so many different items. And getting to walk on Guardians and ride as much as you want was the best. Our kiddos loved the unlimited ice cream treats!
I am all set with vacationing with my son and trying to plan a regular stay. It would be nice in a few years but I only own resale. So I can live through you all. I ain't spending anymore money buying direct.
We went to DCA last January and they gave us $30 each. The lines were insane just to get popcorn, we did get food. Some of the rides were closed and the queues were insane. Ended up throwing away around $20 in vouchers. I didn't really find anything special, it was packed!
Late year DVC added an AK moonlight magic in December as well. We always go the second week of December and it was the first time our vacation lined up with a moonlight magic event. And it was awesome!! We loved it so much. My 7yo son wanted to ride dinosaur 5x in a row. So we did just that. We will be there from Dec 8-17 and yes we plan on trying again this year!
I’ve gotten to do one moonlight magic and it was the first time they did it at Magic Kingdom. Never have had it line up ever again with my vacations since.
So excited the AK one Nov 21st is the last day of our trip and we are gonna try for it. Never been able to make one during our trip. Also my birthday that day too. We just bought park tickets for AK that day as well. What time do we need to be online to have the best chance?
The only times we have been able to attend Moonlight Magic was when we got lucky and the dates fell in the week of our reservation. Actually that is the case for December too!
To answer Derek’s question, I added 2 nights to an existing July 2025 reservation for my husband’s birthday to hopefully go to MLM at EPCOT which is his favorite of the parks.
On the DVC website, it states for AK: 'Early Registration Window - Opens September 19, 2024 The early registration window for the October 24, November 21 and December 10 events is open to eligible Members with qualifying Resort reservations*' The *lists all of the resorts in two categories. The 2nd category includes 'Non-Villa' Resorts. So could we possibly book a regular Port Orleans Riverside room and still be part of this early registration? That's not clear.
Have never attended. Didn’t quite understand what the process is. And is this only for Disney World? I live on the west coast. Any info would be appreciated
Finally I am going to be at Disney world over a Moonlight Magic event. My daughters 21st birthday is July 17th and we will be celebrating at Epcot, however, I will be staying at Boardwalk on my resale points for 2 nights (17-20) then at VGF with my direct points 20-22) 😭 I am assuming that means we won’t qualify.
To answer Derek. I just happen to be going for my first solo trip in December so I’ll be trying for the 10th. I had one booked for a family trip that was cancelled by COVID so if I can get a ticket it will be my first. The cancelled one just happened by coincidence too
The July 17th one happens to coincide with a trip. I don't mind if there are no festivals to use vouchers at. I am just happy to have the opportunity for more time at Epcot not in the scorching sun lol
If I lived in SoCal & didn't have to use vacation days to drive down to DCA from San Francisco I'd go in a heartbeat. Unfortunately everything is waitlisted & getting a Pixar room via DVC cash (if that works like at wdw) seems wasteful. Maybe someday. Great video.
Ok... so I'm now realizing that even as a blue card member I can not rent dvc points thru the rental store and qualify for moonlight magic, because it has to be done thru member services? Is this correct?
Does anyone know if early registration has been released for January 26th Hollywood studios DVC? Apparently my father-in-law called a customer service number and she claimed the early registration was sold out for it already, but when I look online it says early registration hasn't been released yet?
Needs to be a better way of registering people. I’ve tried so many times, and have never gotten in. Very frustrating. We’ve been a member for over 15 years.
All of us lowly Resale members should get together for a meet up and have our own Moonlight Magic event!
You guys are really not missing out.

You guys are all so much fun! I really do enjoy this channel! Panda has the nicest smile!

I just got surprised with the AK event in Dec. So excited. Havent done one in yrs

Jan 2018 MK Moonlight Magic’s fireworks were phenomenal!!

Thank you! Super helpful, as always!
Brand new here, second video I clicked, already 2 for 2 on rsvlts sightings . Love it

How can I possibly get a DVC reservation when both west coast properties are completely booked???
I lucked out. Last year I got into Moonlight Magic Events and they were both quick trips. Now I live there so hope to do more !

Yep to all of this!
It was empty after 930 pm though. But on a Monday after a long day at work I was exhausted! We left by 10pm
Samsonite! I was way off. LOL

I have a trip planned in November and am so excited for the opportunity to go to AK MM
Thanks for answering my question

Our last day also 👍

I had a reservation checking in on 1 May…I modified it to check in a day earlier to be able to attempt to get the Epcot MM on 30 April.

I’ll be there for the HS one in January but I’ll be hoping to enter on the generosity of a member with an extra pass!
We’ve booked reservations in concierge too through DVC
So what are the actual dates for registration? I can’t seem to find that information
Finally I am going to be at Disney world over a Moonlight Magic event. Added note: I just went changed my first night (17th) to my direct points at VGF. Hope that helps us get in 🙏🏻

So far, I only book if one becomes available during a booked stay. I don't go out of my to book once the dates come out. Maybe if I lived closer.
Do you need to have a reservation for the night OF the party, or can you also qualify if you're checking out on the morning of the party?
Georgia peach watching now🍑 😊❤Thx so much. 🍕
The July 17th one happens to coincide with a trip. I don't mind if there are no festivals to use vouchers at. I am just happy to have the opportunity for more time at Epcot not in the scorching sun lol
DCA usually has only 1 registration date- no priority for staying onsite (at least that was the case last year and pre-2020.
Hello! They changed it after the opening of the Villas at Disneyland Hotel to give a priority window for those staying at the resorts.
My wife and I work in the school system, so it makes it nearly impossible for us to make it to any of these events. Oh well, maybe after retirement.
That’s what PTO is for 😉

It just happened to coincide with our trip.

Hello! 2025 registration dates haven’t been release yet.
Needs to be a better way of registering people. I’ve tried so many times, and have never gotten in. Very frustrating. We’ve been a member for over 15 years.
I feel your pain. I made it into one at Typhoon Lagoon about 3 years ago, but otherwise, I always get shut out.
We were able to go to moonlight magic at AK for our first DVC stay in 2018. ❤
I’m not buying direct for this stuff.
