I have been using this bag daily for almost a year, and it is amazingly organized--- distributes the weight well, durable, and has so much room, I have to keep backing off on the stuff it will hold! It holds a LOT. I commute to NYC from north of the city by bus & train, and i prefer a messenger style for being able to get a seat, and sit, rather than a BP style which i have to take off. The quick release on the strap is awesome, and sturdy, and makes it easy after i sit to get it off. This is a bag I 'wear' rather than carry I highly recommend it for commuters
Hey Chris Tanner, I bought my bag about a year after you did this review and I wanted to give you an update on how my bag is doing. So after 5 years of continuous use, the bag is in perfect shape. I have used the hell out of this bag, camping, traveling Etc. This bag is with me 24/7 when I wake up in the morning my bag is right next to my bed with my Tops Steel Eagle 107C Delta Class knife mounted vertically so that I can grab and go along with my H&K VP9 M7. The minute I leave the house until I return home the bag is with me. I operate all over the world and so many of my contacts have acquired this bag too. I don't know if you said this but, the material is the real deal "1000 denier Cordura nylon fabric" Many people don't realize that Maxpedition uses a 1000 denier fabric but it is not Cordura fabric. Thank you, Mr. Chris Tanner, for introducing this bag to me and after 5 years of continuous use I can say that this is the best bag that I have ever used and I believe that it is one of the BEST bags available to this day!!!!
I also have this bag and love it. The little compartment of which you speak on the back is for the waist strap. You can roll it up, secure with the included elastic band, and tuck it inside, to get it out of the way if not being used...voila!
Really nice carry bag Chris. Thanks for taking the time and letting me check it out over at Survival Tactics the other day! Good luck at the shot show and i hope everything works in your favor.
Dammit, now that's all I see! lol But seriously this bag is pretty nice. I use it as my "patrol bag". It really just holds my ipad, extra gloves, extra IFAK, flashlight, water bottles, etc. Basically items that won't fit in my pockets or on my duty belt.
The little secret pocket could nicely store the otherwise loose hanging hip strap. Others have been seen to store a sleek knife sheath there too. Very smart little pocket.
Thorough review! I am really thinking about getting this bag now. The point that began to sell me on it was the way it facilitates your knowing what to do with things; as though each pocket were instructing you, 'Put that here'. Great review.
I've been watching your videos for a couple of days now and I realized that I need to put together an E.D.C bag as well as a B.O.B. Thanks for all of your tips and knife reviews.
great tips great bag. I'm a us army soldier and I think this would be great for me. btw that little compartment is for tucking the waist strap. I current bag has that.
I really do like that handle on the top because when I get in and out of my vehicle with my utg bag I'm always wishing I had something to grab when I throw it over my shoulder I have to drag it across the seats and the it gets hooked on the arm rests. Also the space in my utg is limited. in the main pouch I have my maxpedition beefy organizer and a shemagh and no room for anything else have to attach my first aid kit with a large molly pouch . Looks like I might have to upgrade. Thanks Chris.
Update, I bought mine after your review, I still love it and cannot find something to replace it yet, always go back to this one. No problems at all thanks to you this is still my all time favorite until you find me a better one Chris, if you found something let us know please.
That's a really nice looking bag Chris. I'll be looking into those. I've bought several things you've reviewed and been 100% satisfied. Love your channel, and great review as always bro! Looking forward to PM101 in 2014!
Awesome! I am on Ebay $79.00 now looking to buy one!! I really like your selection of items. I will be looking through your channel for info on the items in the bag.
Thanks Chris and thanks for the share on this guy TOPS Tahoma Field Knife: Overview it was a nice blade and I let him know you helped me find him. Man he sure does a epic review as well huh! Im in film and I know editing even the smallest things can be time consuming for 3 secs of footage lol. So thanks for all your efforts Chris, I do appreciate it.
The hidden slit that you said you thought was for maybe communications wiring is actually for rolling or stuffing your belly strap into. Maxpedition has gear with stow slits in them and Is pretty damn useful. We’ll call it a “belly belt stowage compartment”. I’ve been a gear queer for about 5 years (3 years after I got out the Marines). Me being a minimalist, I think I have no choice but to purchase the T311. Looks sturdy, good price and my common law wife won’t even know I bought it!! Thanks for the video, brother. SEMPER FI
Great review. I have been carrying the Maxpedition Mongo for a couple of years and it is my favorite sling bag. This bag looks like the Mongo and has 90 percent of the exact layout. It does incorporate a few pen and slip pockets that the Mongo does not have and most importantly a carry handle. I cannot tell you how not having a carry handle with this type of bag sucks. Especially when you just want to pick up the bag and move it a short distance. The Mongo is expensive and the T311 is less than half the price on Amazon, so I am going to give it a try. Appreciate the video review.
Great looking bag, I like it with all the pockets and interior straps. Hint. if your right handed you want to wear it on the left side, it should fit even better and it will allow you to access the area where the Mollie flashlight is (bringing it to the front) it will also allow you to snap the waist strap easier. Bag is designed for left side carry.
Hey Chris, I love how thorough this review is. Awesome. I'm a woman looking to replace my purse and diaper bag with a tactical bag, and I'm really liking the Rapdom T311. However I'm wondering if it will fit my frame. I dont know how tall you are, but I'm 5'4. What are your thoughts on the size of this? Should I br ok with this, or should I look into the Rapdom T310 instead?
Thorough review. One thing though- Mountainsmith has been making bags like this going back at least 20 years. Doesn't seem to be a waterproof liner coating in the T311, just water repellent Cordura.
I got the UTG after watching the breakdown video. Now I want this one. Lol. That compartment in the back looks like it's for putting the waist strap away.
The pouch by the waist strap is more than likely for tucking the strap into it. I have a Colombia hocking backpack that holds walking sticks on the frog that ha pretty much the same thing for tucking in the straps that sucre them down
Thanks for the review, I purchased the bag, but will be returning it. It is everything that you said it was, with one exception, at least for me. The velcro attach areas in the front and in the back of the bag are not "sealed" to the bag, so it is just hanging soft velcro attach point. Once you attach a CCW with velco holster or velcro mag holders, they don't sit correctly, they are always moving around. Hope this makes sense, it is a great bag, but a flaw for me. I enjoy your reviews, thanks for doing them, provides great information.
Looks like a good bag. Two things I noticed they could fix in V2. Extend the waist strap and fix the zipper on the top pouch. When you fold the top pouch open, the mesh sleeve has the zipper on the bottom, they should move the zipper to the top. Other than that, I want one.
I don't take stuff I have to send back. You can't do long term use checks that way. I contacted another company that is getting a lot of love from E2E lately and they offered a 30 T&E with return shipping ( Inkow they have let other people keep theirs). I passed. I can't review something like that in 30 days. It would just be a tabletop first impression. Besides, my reviews DO bring business. Ask Schrade, Ka-Bar, Survival-Tactics, etc, etc, etc.....When you don't bullshit people they start to trust you. Giving a product to a good youtube channel is CHEAP advertising that is way better than ads.
i bought one recently and its about to come next week. I'll use it for school and university EDC bag but for now i dont know what to pack in this giant bag wow
Great video on this bag looks awesome and very useful. Is their any way that little hidden compartment by the waist strap..... Is it possible to tuck the waist strap into that little hidden compartment when not in use?
Sportsman Guide also carries some of their bags on it's site also, I've been eyeing a few but haven't pulled the trigger on any yet, guess I'll have to do it soon cause I have a feeling they will be selling quick .
I think it’s been said already but I just wanted to reiterate that that small pouch is for you to talk to strap and when you’re not using it. Our use a mongo on a daily basis and that’s what it’s for
Hey man just saying love your videos and your info I like what I get outbof your videos helps me with my outdoor events like hunting and fishing trips also my treks in the woods
Hey up chap! you do some bloody lovely reviews but I'll be damned if we here in Blighty (UK) can get half the stuff you review and when we do it's twice the price (at least) so keep it up fella and let's hope you review something else we can't get. All the best mate, Regards, Bob

I eventually purchased managed to purchase both the Mongo and the T311. After testing I decided to keep the Rapdom - the pockets were more thought out and I love the bag. Not that the Mongo is bad, but for my needs the top pocket is to narrow and the side pocket is too small, etc. Little things but the Rapdom works better for me. What I really crave from the Mongo is the bottle holder. What holder would you suggest, please? And what connecting device (Ive got tacties)? BTW Im afraid a 32oz Nalgene in a rollypolly would tear off one of the side pockets and I dont know where else could I put it ... maybe if there wasnt the phone holder I couldve put it there, but ... Thank you so much for sharing of this great pack. May i know where can i pick one of these pack. Really a great pack for my daily use. I suspect the little secret pouch is for keeping the waist strip when not in use. Is just my guessing. Thanks buddy

Sorry if someone already said this but the secret pouch at 19:30 is a place to stuff the waist strap when not in use.
Hey chris great video, the hole is made to hold the strap when not in use.
Really nice carry bag Chris. Thanks for taking the time and letting me check it out over at Survival Tactics the other day! Good luck at the shot show and i hope everything works in your favor.
The little "secret pocket" is for stowing the waiststrap when you are not using it.
Looks like a good addition to a pack.
Your eyeliner looks fabulous with that shade of blush.
I'm watching this at 1AM and it's scaring the crap out of me.
Dammit, now that's all I see! lol
But seriously this bag is pretty nice. I use it as my "patrol bag".
It really just holds my ipad, extra gloves, extra IFAK, flashlight, water bottles, etc. Basically items that won't fit in my pockets or on my duty belt.
I can't look at this guys face
Just found your channel!! Very impressed with the Rapdom bag ( ordered one) and articles on the Becker knives.
Keep it up!
Bought both bags, the t311 for my get home bag to carry in my Semi truck, and the t310 for hiking. Thanks Chris !
That's a really sweet bag! There were some great sounds in this video.
I think that pouch by the base of the strap @19:00, is just for tucking the strap in if it's not been used around your waist.
The little secret pocket could nicely store the otherwise loose hanging hip strap. Others have been seen to store a sleek knife sheath there too. Very smart little pocket.
wow didn't expect the main compartment to have separators too. So organized!
Is that hole to tuck the strap in maybe?
You also are a genius. In my defense, Bryce at Survival-Tactics didn't figure it out either....
Thorough review! I am really thinking about getting this bag now. The point that began to sell me on it was the way it facilitates your knowing what to do with things; as though each pocket were instructing you, 'Put that here'. Great review.
I bought one of these bags after watching this video. I've been using it for about three months now and I love it !!!!!!! Thanks !!!!
I've been watching your videos for a couple of days now and I realized that I need to put together an E.D.C bag as well as a B.O.B. Thanks for all of your tips and knife reviews.
Looks like a great bag. Reminds me of a Maxpedition Mongo Versipack too.
great tips great bag. I'm a us army soldier and I think this would be great for me. btw that little compartment is for tucking the waist strap. I current bag has that.
Of all the EDC videos I've watched, you are the first to actually carry a knife sharpener. Kudos.
I really do like that handle on the top because when I get in and out of my vehicle with my utg bag I'm always wishing I had something to grab when I throw it over my shoulder I have to drag it across the seats and the it gets hooked on the arm rests. thx for a good review. most reviewers just show upclose shots which dont show how big the bag actually is. awesome job.
Great bag for my jeep. Looks like that little pocket is for storing the waist belt when not in ise.
Nice. I've been looking for something like this to use as a fishing tackle bag.
Love it Chris glad no ice cream trucks messed up your video!
Great review. I think the small pocket by the waste strap is to store the waste strap when not used.
The hole on the side is for the waist band to be tucked into. Nice pack
that's a nice bag! that little pouch though, it looks like a pocket type deal for the waist strap to keep it out of the way.
I'd use the pouch at the base of the waist strap to hold the strap when not in use, seems perfect for that use
Update, I bought mine after your review, I still love it and cannot find something to replace it yet, always go back to this one. No problems at all thanks to you this is still my all time favorite until you find me a better one Chris, if you found something let us know please.
Great review. Thank you, Chris. It certainly does appear to be versatile. I really dig the "organizational" aspects of the bag.
Really like your reviews. Well spoken, intelligent, and organized.
That's a really nice looking bag Chris. I'll be looking into those. I've bought several things you've reviewed and been 100% satisfied. Love your channel, and great review as always bro! Looking forward to PM101 in 2014!
Thanks. I really do like this bag!
At 19:00 - That little pouch is to tuck/hide your waist strap...
Awesome! I am on Ebay $79.00 now looking to buy one!! I really like your selection of items. I will be looking through your channel for info on the items in the bag.

The "mysterious" opening on the base of the waiste strap is there to store the waiste strap if you don't need it.
The hidden slit that you said you thought was for maybe communications wiring is actually for rolling or stuffing your belly strap into. Maxpedition has gear with stow slits in them and Is pretty damn useful. We’ll call it a “belly belt stowage compartment”.

the mollie straps on the bottom would be perfect for attaching rain gear, or your jacket with backpacking straps
Thorough review. One thing though- Mountainsmith has been making bags like this going back at least 20 years. Doesn't seem to be a waterproof liner coating in the T311, just water repellent Cordura.
Just picked one up off of amazon, will be here Monday. Going to see how it compares to my Rush Moab 10. Great review by the way.
Thanks for the review I got the bag and I love it! Great video.
Thankyou! Just got this as a gift! Cant wait to put it to use! This video was very helpful!
I got the UTG after watching the breakdown video. Now I want this one. Lol.
That compartment in the back looks like it's for putting the waist strap away.
Nice bag. Think Rapdom is about to cash in on this review.
The pouch by the waist strap is more than likely for tucking the strap into it. I have a Colombia hocking backpack that holds walking sticks on the frog that ha pretty much the same thing for tucking in the straps that sucre them down
Dude, that's an awesome bag. I'm definitely getting one. Its on my list for new things this year. Great video.
Sir, you might also use one of the pen holder slot to put in those elongated hand cuff keys :)
That pouch on the bag that you didn't know what was for is the place where you can stuff the waist strap if you don't use it.
the hole by the strap is to tuck the strap out of the way when not in use
Been really looking online and on RUclips for a edc bag and this one is nice I love that top section
Chris,
I'm purchasing one for my son to EDC and test out. Thanks for the review.
The spot next to the waist strap is to tuck in the waist strap when not in use just like the marine corps packs
It's probably already been said but, I just got mine today and the extra pouch at the back is for the waist strap if you don't need it.
Thanks for the review, I purchased the bag, but will be returning it. It is everything that you said it was, with one exception, at least for me. those are typically for morale patches if I'm not mistaken. Maxpedition is the same way.
the new bags are made with Cordura, and they fixed the Velcro issue on the second adm pocket. I ordered mine from Amazon, it has cordura on the bag.
That looks like a keeper... real nice!
Nice, big bag!
Looks like a good bag. Two things I noticed they could fix in V2. Extend the waist strap and fix the zipper on the top pouch. When you fold the top pouch open, the mesh sleeve has the zipper on the bottom, they should move the zipper to the top. Other than that, I want one.

I must have that bag. I'm getting that bag!!
Great review as usual. Hope they are letting you keep the bag. (Your trademark background sounds are right on que! siren, barking dog, plane.)

I agree. Trust is everything and your ever increasing following is a testament to that.
That is a really great looking bag! Kinda wish I hadn't purchased a maxped gleneagle a couple weeks ago :/
just got mine today and it's perfect....thank u for the review.
i bought one recently and its about to come next week. I'll use it for school and university EDC bag but for now i dont know what to pack in this giant bag wow
I got this on my wish list, after I get my BK-9 and BK-24! Will make a great bag for my truck!
Great video on this bag looks awesome and very useful. Is their any way that little hidden compartment by the waist strap..... Is it possible to tuck the waist strap into that little hidden compartment when not in use?

6 years later...How’s the bag OR do you still have the bag?
Thanks again just recieved my bag from amazon, love it!!
That unknown little pouch may be for the waist strap if not in use
Chris, could you do a video on the different batteries you use and your favorite battery companies?
Really like this bag! Just wondering if my 10.5 iPad Pro would fit inside?
Apart from the lack of the bottle pouch it if very much like the Maxpedition Mongo
Based on your review I just picked one of these up. Excellent bag!!! Thanks for the info!
so to be prepared you need a giant bag full of flashlights and knives got it. lol Nice bag!
Great review chris. I'm wondering would this product be good for lefties?
I wish it had a bottle holder for a narrow clean canteen.
I like this bag I am thinking it will be added to my collection soon thanks man!
Excellent review! Very useful for my work. Thank you very much
Hey up chap! you do some bloody lovely reviews but I'll be damned if we here in Blighty (UK) can get half the stuff you review and when we do it's twice the price (at least)
so keep it up fella and let's hope you review something else we can't get.
All the best mate, Regards, Bob
finally found a vendor that would ship this bag to APO (military) address. So they got my business from your video just FYI! I have the maxi jumbo, but it fall's into the same catagory as you had with your other bag, its just a hair to small. This should work perfect!
Thats freakin sweet and much cheaper than the Maxpedition. I would definitely buy one.
My School EDC is a Lamy Safari Fountain Pen Fine Nib with Parker Blue-Black ink and a Fisher Space Pen. Sometimes my Fountain Pen will be a Hero 616 with Noodler's Liberty Elysium ink! Along with that I carry and iPhone 4s and my Books and Binders I need for Class!
your video have made up my mind for this bag! keep the good job!
That pouch on the back is for the waist strap when not in use
I eventually purchased managed to purchase both the Mongo and the T311. After testing I decided to keep the Rapdom - the pockets were more thought out and I love the bag. BTW Im afraid a 32oz Nalgene in a rollypolly would tear off one of the side pockets and I dont know where else could I put it ... maybe if there wasnt the phone holder I couldve put it there, but ... Help please! :)
PS: And again thanks for a great review! :)
Nothing compares to the Original. Some lead, others follow !
I really think you should look at the la police bail out series, it's really awesome
Can you list all of the items you have in the Rapdom bag?
Thanks
Does that hole that you were unsure of its purpose run all the way through, to possible accommodate a drinking tube with a bladder in some way? That's just what came to mind when I saw it.
Other people figured it out. Read down the comments.
That last pouch is a storage place for the waist strap.
great bag, nice coat
Thank you so much for sharing of this great pack. May i know where can i pick one of these pack. Really a great pack for my daily use. I suspect the little secret pouch is for keeping the waist strip when not in use. Is just my guessing.
Thanks buddy
Rapid dominance does ship to APO's im 100% sure. You can buy direct from them if you want.
If its being sold on amazon it is by a resellers
