    Thanks for this video, Dan!
    I had NO idea one these universal TV-stands existed!
    I prefer the central pedestal both aesthetically AND practically. I have a small living room, and my TV had always been sitting on a small piece of furniture.
    There was no way I could accommodate these modern TVs on my narrow table.
    I feel much more liberated now in my sense of choice, when I have to get my next TV.

    I'm so glad you can get a stand like this on Amazon or eBay . Once I got set the tv how I liked it, I drilled a hole thru the back of the base and thru my stand and secured it with a nut and bolt to keep a child from tilting the tv on themselves.

  • @FourKnown
    @FourKnown 2 года назад +5

    Great job on the video! One more reason to swap to this type of stand is the width of the feet. We just got an 82-inch Samsung and the feet are 15 inches wide; the exact width of our rather large shelved TV stand we bought for our 70-inch screen. Makes me nervous to have the feet so close to the edge. So I'm now searching Amazon for one to fit. We also just bought a 39-inch Insignia for our master bedroom. As you said, the feet are too wide for the platform in the cabinet and also we cannot turn it enough to get the right angle of view from bed. I ordered a stand like this today. This will not only fit on the stand, but will allow us to have the TV stick out a little so I can see all the left edge and view more directly. With the cheaper TVs you need to view almost straight-on. When you angle view it looses quality quickly.

    Wide tv legs don’t fit on my entertainment stand and I’m so mad. Thank you for this

    I have the same TV stand product as you and it was of PARAMOUNT importance that this product was able to adjust VERTICALLY 5 degrees, because the screws that we use to fix the stand onto the TV are uneven! The upper two are protruding more than the lower two! So the only way to make the TV stand at a 90 degree was to adjust the stand 5 degrees to offset that difference. Man, Samsung is SOOO dumb... Beware guys of this when choosing a stand!

      Your supposed to use the spacers supplied with the TV to keep the screen at 90 degrees

    The most useful part of the video - the actual construction - is skipped over with a gimmicky timelapse at the end. What's the point?

      Agreed, the instructions with the Hama stand leave a bit to be desired.

    I have been searching up various models, 99% are Tempered Glass. I know it is think and strong but I simply will not trust my TV on a material that can shatter. Every TV manufacturer is doing these stupid legs now, we could not find a TV without it.

    I been looking into the new Sony oled a90j 65’’ but the bozo who designed this tv put the feet at ether end of the tv so York going to need a stand at least 1500 cm width so this looks like a good idea
