My pleasure. Glad it helped you. 1C is a great seed and I assume you are a swift cyclist. You'll have really clear road and little traffic around and a fast group tempo. I had 1A a couple of times and on a separate occasion, I joined a friend starting much further back and that was a chilled ride with tons of traffic, equally special. For 1C, get ready to hammer from the start and if you are racing it, keep an eye on the breaks. That said, if this is your one and only CTCT, please, please savour every moment of it and enjoy the scenery, too. It's the best cycling event in the world and one of the most beautiful courses one could imagine. Sigh, wish I was doing it this year and not halfway around the planet locked in winter... 🙂 Please let me know how it goes.
@@betterpreparedness5167 Hi, Will do… Yes I’ve heard about the famous fast start. Am riding with a group of local riders hoping to do a time of around 3.15 - not sure if as a 54 year old a sub three is possible 🙂I’ll pop a message to your blog so you have my contact details if you like 👍
@@betterpreparedness5167 Hi Blair. Finished in 3.18.47 safely. Event was spectacular. I couldn’t quite hold on to the front of the group to the start of the blue route but stayed calm and bridged across to a small group that towed me across to the another larger group and then was able to recover ok and stayed in the group until Smitswinkel. Had a touch of cramp on the descent of Chappies but rode through it ok. My target time was 3.15 to 3.20 so achieved that. All in all quite happy😃
Hi Blair. It went well. That start was hectic! Apart from a bit of cramp at the top of. Chappies it went all to plan. Rode all the climbs at sweet spot. Was tough but a fantastic experience. Plan to be there again in 2024! I’ve put up a full video of my ride here - ruclips.net/video/Ct1YKWxx24M/видео.html Something to make the long indoor rides go quicker!
I’m going this year 2023, seeded 1C. Lovely series of videos you have done, very useful.
