Hey Satoshi, fun to watch mixing as it happens. As a recovering trainspotter, here I am again scoping out the sets! Not sure if you know this but the upload had a glitch at 30:30. The session jumps and then around 48:12 cuts back to the section skipped at 30:30. Still a joy to watch and hear. Just thought I’d share.
Ahhhh! Thanks for spotting, sorry about this. I will try to fix it but not sure if I can without taking the video down first.. Audio is uploaded here www.mixcloud.com/satoshi_tomiie/wax-digging-6/
I first discovered you around 2000 and ur sets blew me away, ur GU complilation i still play. I met you twice also in pacha ibiza when u dropped kenjin i went mental n then london i wormed my way into the booth on both occasions. I think you should do a set from that era one day and show the new generation what real music with soul sounded like. Most music now days sounds so soulless and boring. I miss the early 2000 proghouse days :(
Hey thank you for being a long time supporter! I really appreciate it. I have been doing since mid 80’s and still having fun discovering new music. I totally understand you have good memories from that era but I believe you still can find good, interesting and inspiring music now. Personally I have been able to find good music even when I was not a big fan of what was going on in the scene :) This Wax series is about finding "new" from my own overlooked and forgotten records. I really love this kind of challenge. Hope you find this interesting and enjoy it :)
Im actually living this wax series you are doing and can't wait for tonight's session. I get what you are saying, i was actually talking about other dj's playing boring sets. You've always had soul in your sets. Keep up the good work 👍I'll be jamming tonight with some whiskey 😁
@@SatoshiTomiieTube oohh yes. You don't know how excited i am. Even my wife is looking forward to it. I've just given her a history lesson about you lol
Yes, I agree, Satoshi has a non-commercial classic deep tech house sound. My favorite Maayan Nidam plays in a similar vein (a little more in deep techno style). Unfortunately, the rest of Djs practically all began to play the same commercial (even those who now play progressive or techno), a straight melodic commercial kick, everything has become too refined and sugary, not underground. Satoshi thanks!
Thanks Craig! And yeah at 8 min it's an awesome track! The thing is I need to dig again to find it.. Is anyone out there helping me tracking all the records I play? lol
Every set you put together is pure magic…the definition of DJing
Loving these sessions, makes me want to go create digging!
Quality as usually
Arigatou Gozaimasu!
Awesome mix
