I watched the full level 1 series at work during my lunchbreak and enjoyed it a lot. Now I started watching it again, but now at home with my acoustic guitar at hand.
You are a fabulous teacher, taking the time to slow everything down for us older people makes your training so much easier than anyone else's. Thank you!
Ace Dan, I’ve stopped flitting around the web looking for guitar tuition, I’m sticking around here, your lessons are so good and I’m actually starting to feel like a guitarist after 6 years - thanks man 😍
Superb teaching. I am a blues and rock piano player now looking to learn guitar, and this is exactly the process I followed to master the blues on keyboard. Well done. Excellent.
It's neither route nor rout, but rote. Rote learning ".....a memorization technique based on repetition." Sorry about the interruption, it was disturbing my inner pedant. I will go back to your excellent course now!
Dan ,I have been following ,for years, some of the most subscribed guitar tuition channels on YT . Yours is amongst the best without any doubts. Please keep doing what you are doing ,you are awesome. This channel is massively undersubscribed at the moment,it will become massive
Thank you so much for this wonderful comment! As long as we keep being able to help people with their guitar skills, like we are you, we’re happy! Although, hundreds of thousands of subs would be awesome too!
Excellent length of your lessons, Dan. I'm a false beginner from way back, but your lesson gave me just enough of an accomplishment to keep coming back for more. Thank you!
Fantastic! I have the technique and skills but never understood how this actually works. This course is just streaming into my brain. So psyched for the rest of the lessons!
Great stuff, being able to support your technique with the correct theory and understanding will be sure to elevate your playing to your next level! 🎸🤟
Just started learning electric guitar and I've watched so many videos on RUclips which are so hard to follow but this is exactly what I've been looking for! Awesome content and lesson breakdown! I''m looking forward to the rest of the series. This is really great, thank you!
This is brilliant , have you ever been wondering in a morass , then all of the sudden you find the light, what I love doing is a giving the right vibrato, and I might go further since my guitar with 3 P90'S has vibrato tremolo system so that gives it even more texture to the riff, but Dan you really know how to teach this stuff to make it stick brilliant mate honestly brilliant !
Each lesson has been worth watching several times. Each time I watch I pick up another subtle tip / technique that advances my playing. +1 for Dan's seasonal attire. Must be hot in the UK to wear shorts!
Excellent lesson. I prefer to start the riff for the 4th and 5th chord on the A string and play the minor 3rd in the riff on the string above the root. It feels more comfortable for me this way.
Thank’s Dan , grate courses. Really enjoy the comfort way to understand the theory things and nice practice exercises. Will Cary on! P.s. I bought “unlocking major” . Just in case )))
This course is brilliant, using your usual technique of breaking it down into bite sized lessons, that teach you almost despite yourself. I have a question, why didn't the riff go to the A string, moving across as against up the neck? I've always been taught "economy of effort" Thanks again for the course and stay safe.
Very good one & I hope I will soon be good in blues, but my question is why must I move across the frets to get the 4th while i can easly get it by moving across the strings (1.E_shape 4.A_shape 5 A_shape barre)? Is it just a preference or there are another voicing elements?
I’ve noticed how you keep your fingers very close to the strings when playing. Any tips on how to do this as my pinky flies out when I’m playing scales.
Yes it’s a case of slowing right down, tackling some basic exercises (such as 1234 spider) and keeping an eye on that pinky! You quite simply have to correct it when you see it flying about... the more you do it, the more it remembers!
Hi Dan, I notice you always use a drum machine, is this just because you have one or is it a preference over a metronome and would you recommend one for practice; I ask this as I find a metronome easy to get bored with.
This channel is a gold mine.

Thanks Steve!! Yes it was especially hot, that plus the film lights! I was sweating 😂😂

Thanks, and like !!!
Nice

Can’t believe the amazing quality of these lessons…would I be charged for watching? 😄 Congrats and thanks!
Believe it or not, its all free!!🥳
You make my holidays wonderful I THANK U SO MUCH (sorry for my English I’m a French women🇫🇷👍🏼🍒
As I’ve said before, your English is perfect! 😀😀

Great question! The answer is simple, I get to that concept later in the course!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Quite goood👍
Hi Dan - what sort of drum machine are you using - Alesis SR 18 ?
Hi Paul, Cam here! We don't use a drum machine, instead we create drum loop on a laptop using Logic for the drums in these videos :)
Very good one & I hope I will soon be good in blues, but my question is why must I move across the frets to get the 4th while i can easly get it by moving across the strings (1.E_shape 4.A_shape 5 A_shape barre)? Is it just a preference or there are another voicing elements?
it would be nice if you do finger to note [fret] because us beginners cant see beyond you hand. you are covering youre progressions
I’ve noticed how you keep your fingers very close to the strings when playing. Any tips on how to do this as my pinky flies out when I’m playing scales.

Fab lessons, but the word is ROTE.
Hi Dan, I notice you always use a drum machine, is this just because you have one or is it a preference over a metronome and would you recommend one for practice; I ask this as I find a metronome easy to get bored with.
I absolutely hate metronomes!!! That’s just my preference 🤪🤪 Drum tracks work better for me so I go with that. Sound better on video too!
Do you mean rote ?
I don't know if this is actually how its said but us crazy Americans say "rote." As in the "oa" of oat or moat.
