Can confirm this does work on PS5. The only details I would add (possibly PS5 specific) are: After you click on what you are going to buy, you need to be in the next screen when you accept the invite. By “next screen” I mean the one before the half-screen purchase confirm comes up. Accept the invite using the PS button, NOT the middle pad. This will give you time to press ‘X’ after it returns to the game screen. Press ‘X’ to act like you will purchase the item. Once the “half-screen” purchase confirm is there, have your buddy start the game. Only after you have started falling in(audio should sound as if you’re falling in or have a buddy tell you you are in), back out of the confirm purchase half-screen and into the pregame lobby, change all weapons to BO6 weapons, but different from the ones currently equipped.

Community: I found a solve that worked for me. My PS5 is connected via Ethernet, I clicked on multiplayer and it began its stupid deathloop that we’re all having issues with, while it was in this loop I disconnected my Ethernet, waited 15 seconds and plugged it back in, once I got the notification that my LAN connection was working (2 seconds after I plugged it back in) I clicked retry when prompted to either go offline or retry connecting. It then took me to the menu where you can select season 1, warzone, multiplayer, zombies etc, I clicked on season one and I was in all back to normal. (you would have to do this everytime you would load up the game) Community: Change weapons to bo6 guns. (This is the simplest way and can be done solo and will stick) Tested and true. You're welcome everyone. Make a video if you want bro. What they can't fix we will.

I’m having the same issue started today I made a video and posted it 2 times on cod updates on twitter x hopefully they fixed it at some point shits annoying I’m on ps5 as well
This worked to get me in a game however I wasn't able to change my load out. I know exactly what gun it is that's causing the issue and everytime I edit that particular load out, it sends me back to the game and tells me my load out will change after next respawn. That load out also got favorited somehow and I can't delete or change it.
I cant use the store and invite button at the same time. Anybody has the same struggle as me? The loading screen of buying the game is litterly instand, no time to react and join.
I have nobody i know to do this with i have been off warzone for weeks and its killing me 😂 is there a way i can do this without help from another account ❤

Yoo it worked, so for the people still having the issue even after u leave the match, do this little glitch again and load back up into a match and completely change everything, My problem was that i had to change the primary that was in the loadout with MW2 or MW3 weapon and went ahead and switched it, and i was able to go into the regular menu with the character walking

On ps5 it there isn’t enough time to join the invite after I press a it takes me to the ps payment screen to quickly

i was confused as to why this happened to me as i dont have any mw2/3 content on my loadouts and i realized the THROWING KNIFE counts as one of them..
Can i do it using pc only? With steam, i dont have a console.
