finland has some very long lines and they were copyrighted in two spots for about two minutes each, four minutes altogether. due to this, i had to switch some clips around to prevent copyright. ...four times. thanks frontierworks. but !! non-chronological all clips are better than no clips at all!

Yeah it would probably be more accurate, but Finland has some lines (in the manga and stuff) that kinda spook me because he's a social butterfly all the time, next he's saying "let it rain blood". I really like that. Of course, if Sweden was like this it wouldn't really change how I view those lines because what I love about them is the gore hidden in happiness. And about Sweden, I've heard that some Swedish people need to warm up to someone and seem very cold at first, so if we kept that bit (only when he's with others he doesn't know) but switched the rest up, would it be more accurate then?

Actually that opinion is pretty popular nowadays! In my opinion they shouldn't since Finland has his moments (especially in the manga!) but I do think Sweden's character is kinda off. Sweden is one of my favourite Hetalia characters but I do think he wasn't exactly that accurate....
Ooof I can’t say much for Finland because I don’t know Finnish people as well, but Sweden’s huge hesitance to speak up about his feelings, unable to do small talk fits quite well to a common stereotype (which is defeated by the fact that he is actually really caring on the inside).

Unpopular opinion: Sweden and Finland's personalities are definitely accurate considering the historical context. Sweden is a growing kingdom trying to separate itself from its previous union, and is acting strong because of that. Finland is a weak and small part of the kingdom, and is reasonably scared of Sweden.
I like to imagine their modern counterparts to conform to modern stereotypes. So Finland, while polite towards strangers and caring about everyone (a modern welfare state, after all), gets weirdly passionate about hockey and probably drinks way too much coffee and alcohol. Sweden on the other hand would still be stoic, but also have a bit of a flamboyant (and gay?) side.

That's a decades old stereotype and as a finn who's also early gen z, I thought the "swedish people are gay lol" jokes had started to die down dramatically by the time I was a teenager.
