I've just ordered this unit to be shipped to Canada; rave reviews but hard to source. Lots of Amazon "re=sellers" in Canada adding huge $$$$ for no reason. I'm setting up the small bathroom for humidity and temperature consistency, and intend to candle with low light or even the bath light OFF. !!!
Bath light off would likely be better. I’m sure the pandemic has a lot to do with these being hard to find. Many people raising their own food now and manufacturing has slowed down.
@@JoeThornton-p2w What day is it? Day 1-18 or 18-21? Day 1-18 you can open the vent to adjust the humidity. If that doesn’t lower it you can try sucking some water out but be careful because that will quickly lower the humidity. Also make sure water is only in the A side. I’ve had a few hatches where I had to keep just barely any water in the A side during the first 18 days to keep the humidity in the correct range. If you are on day 18-21 then 72% is fine.
@@JoeThornton-p2w try it all the way open and see what humidity you get. You won’t believe how even just a tiny adjustment on it makes a difference, but it does. Nothing you can really do but open the valve and control how much water you put in there. I had a hatch that ran 65+ the entire time and they all turned out OK. 18 hatched I think.
I am certainly not an expert but I think this may be to large for parrot eggs. The automatic turner is designed for larger eggs and likely would not work well for smaller parrot eggs. That said, if you manually turn the eggs every day it would probably work. You’d also have to play around with the humidity since I think parrot eggs require a lower humidity level than chicken eggs.
@@jbones2121 there's a father/son team that is using a 3-D printer to do a small egg turner for this unit. Surprised the mfg. doesn't even have that as a choice.

Does the light have to be on for the Turing to turn
The light does not have to be on
What cause your humidity to be
Not sure what you are asking
@@jbones2121 humidity is like 72 percent. I did just like the instructions said

@@jbones2121 It's been high every since day one. It runs about 70 percent humidity. With it being 1/3 of the way open.

Can I use this to hatch parrot eggs

@@thedwightguy yeah that’s a good idea. So many people want to use this for different eggs besides chickens.
