- Vintage shopping: QUEEN ELIZABETH II SPECIAL PIECES & ANTIQUES// Dear all, We hope you're all doing well! The whole world is mourning the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Most of us have known only her and really came to adore her. When she passed away I (Kirsten) was still in Germany visiting friends while Joerg was already back in England. While talking on the phone, we said that once I'm back we will visit the Vintage Emporium in Stockport which is our favourite place for vintage shopping to look for special pieces to remember the Queen. But because we can't help it, we will be sharing lots of beautiful antique pieces and also enjoy a cup of tea in the Vintage Tearoom. We found some wonderful things but are quite certain that we will add more throughout the year. Much love, Kirsten & Joerg xx

All you needed was Paddington Bear and the Queen’s jam sandwich she keeps in her purse. What a grand lady the Queen was.
That's so true!
I want a purse like she always carried!!! Jam sandwich optional)
@@sallycormier1383 lol
I love Paddington Bear 🐻
Kirsten,
I love how the 2 of you always take a break and enjoy a cup of tea and a
goodie..We Americans are always rushing and in a hurry.
Thank you for your videos..If I'm having a hard day I can always count on you to relax my mind and set things straight..
Can't wait for next Tues to see what you've been up to.
Cheers from America 🇺🇸
Thanks so much! Oh we just have to, we usually film all day and leave the house quite early so always make sure to take a break in between.
Queen Elizabeth was so amazing, even in her death, she united the world. Thank you, Kirsten and Joerg, love your videos.
Thanks so much!
That was such a nice tribute to the late Queen. May she rest in peace.🙏 Thank you for taking us along to that beautiful vintage shop. 😊
Thanks so much!
I can't help but notice that the lovely and delicate way in which Kirsten picks up each item for the camera makes even kitsch items look interesting!! 😊
Oh you are very kind, thank you!
It is very sad the Queen has passed, but thank you for cheering me up
You are so very welcome!
Thank-you for a perfect video. Gentle, calm, soothing. After watching the Queen's funeral yesterday which was so emotional, this is just the comfort we need. Respectful, interesting. Well done . Thank-you as always!
Thank you so much!
Seeing these items through your eyes, makes me appreciate them so much more.
I'm not English, but I miss her already too, Kirsten. She was such a lady, I loved to see her dressed up in her matching outfits with the beautiful brooches, necklaces and her famous pearl earrings. I love her testimony for Jesus. She lived and reigned very well. Definitely will miss her!!
😢Yes (R.I.P. Queen Elizabeth 11 )
Dear Kirsten and Joerg, very much enjoyed your visits to the Vintage Houses ,
Years ago as a young girl my grandmother would take me to such places
To wander and be surprised by finding lovely memorabilia of the past .
Also loved your own joy of your searching for a special Memento :
Mary Canada 🇨🇦
Thanks so much Mary!
Your purchases are so lovely and your special tribute to the Queen was quite respectful and empathetic
What a wonderful way to remember Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ! I stayed up after my night shift to watch the funeral . I don't mind admitting that I teared up several times . I found a Coronation brooch of the Queen at an antique show a few years ago and I wear it often . It's about 3 inches high and her crown sparkles which I love . Growing up we had several books about the Royal family which my sisters and I loved looking at . I'll never forget seeing the Queen in Toronto in 2010 . She is dearly missed . 💕👑🇨🇦
Its amazing how many people she touched. As an American, she still held such a fascination for me. Its the end of a true lady, a true Royal, and the end of refinement. She will be missed.
She will be!
Lovely video! I wanted to tell you that I own two coronation mugs, one of Queen Elizabeth and one of her father. I found them on separate occasions at different antique stores here in the U.S. and when the queen passed I put red roses from my rose bush in her mug and greenery with a black ribbon tied to the handle. I made a little memorial with a candle and white glove and a small crown that I added a Union Jack button to, like a jewel in her crown. (It was a vintage British Invasion button from when the Beatles came to the USA). I lit the candle every day of the mourning period, refreshing the roses as needed. She was greatly admired all over the world and we will never see her like again! She truly gave her entire life to the service of her country.
Well said, she was a class act through and through.
What a magnificent store! Love the Queen's memorabilia, especially the tins.
I really like the vintage of those times!🤩
I've been glued to the television every day, these last two weeks, watching all the events from the UK. So moving and emotional! Praying for the Royal family, especially King Charles as our new monarch. (Huge job ahead for him and enormous shoes to fill, after our beloved Queen Elizabeth has died!). I collect antique royal memorabilia and I've got three antique cup/saucers with the three generations of coronation events. Wow, I love your book and biscuit/cookie tin. Thank you for this lovely video and have a terrific week. Much love to you both. XO XO (🇨🇦and🇬🇧)
Thank you so much for watching! We didn't really watch a lot of it to be honest as we were so busy, I was still in Germany visiting friends (more about that in a video next week). The bits I watched from the funeral made me very emotional too. Of course we knew that she 96 years old but I think the fact that only a photo of her was posted 2 days before her passing made it very surreal indeed. So we wanted to film a video last weekend and I rescheduled the Germany one for next week. Have a lovely week too.
@@KirstenJoerg Oh how I wish we lived closer!! I'd love to give you some (or all) of my antique royal memorabilia. I dont know of anyone who collects such, other than you Kirsten and Joerg, and it makes me sad to think I have no one to pass it to and who will enjoy it as much as it has for me.
Glad to know you're home in England but had a joyful reunion with family and friends in Germany.
😘xxxx Lots of hugs and love.
Dear Susan Joy ThompsonI, too have been glued to the tv and have watched all of the processions and services. I am sad to see it end, for all that it was a funeral. I found comfort and hope in the stability of the Monarchy and the values and light they represent to an ever darkening world. I only have 2 Royalty cups and saucers in my collection . One of QEII Coronation and the other of Charles and Diana’s Wedding. I let a cup and saucer of George VI Coronation get away as I hesitated over the price, someone else snapped it up. However a friend gifted me with an exquisite china figurine of the Queen in her Coronation regalia.. the same friend found a QEII coronation book from 1953 and gave it to me. it is filled with geneaologies, protocols, pictures of course and detailed lists and descriptions of all of the Peers of the Realm who participated and much more. I also am praying for King Charles and looking forward to his coronation I am just an American who loves all things English..I hope my Grandchildren or great grands will appreciate and treasure my collection. from a kindred spirit. 🇺🇸
@@sjt609 Oh Susan, You are far too kind, you are wonderful! Sending tons of love your way.x
Beautiful memories of the Queen ,!
Oh my! I could have spent days in those stores. Loved the items you chose.
I know, it's always so amazing!
I was given a coronation mug of our Queen by the local council when I was 11. I have always cherished it. It's as good as new! God bless her for her wonderful steadfastness and compassion
That's such a wonderful memory!
I miss Whalley Range even more now. What lovely items and the tea to die for 💕💕
In 1983 i got a Queen tea cup and platewhen i was there in England. I also have the same in the Queen Motherr. I have them displaying in a small wall curio with Princess Diana's doll. Love it. Thank you for sharing. Love from Texas ❤🤠
That's lovely!
The items you bought were so nice! Thank you for taking us along to the Emporium. I still can’t take it in that our wonderful Queen is gone.
Thank you so much!
She had a sense of humor too, something Charles seems to be lacking.
I’d rather buy old items than new including dishes , furniture and kitchen linens! It makes your house looked so welcoming!
❤I love all the merchandise. I especially love the tea pots n chairs. The mixing bowls were lovely.
What a lovely tribute to a remarkable woman. May she rest in peace 🙏😍😘
When I visit my sister who lives in Stockport, we love to go to the vintage emporium…it’s a fascinating place, and you’re right Kirsten the cakes are VERY nice ❤

WoW ! You two have picked up some true treasures ! Well done. I am so happy for you both. Cheers !
I did enjoy the vid-good you made it back home 👋. Kirsten, personally stayed glued to all the happenings of the Queen/Family on tv. Being from the U.S. have to say Queen Elizabeth was a remarkable human being! Alot that I took from what was broadcast-her integrity of life in general. She lived a long, wonderful life. TFS Love the pieces you&Joerg purchased, just to have alil history makes it all the worth while. Take care !!🍂🍁
Kirsten, I adore you & Joerg and your channel! Thank you for taking us along on your wonderful journeys! ♥️
That's so kind, thanks so much!
After 2 and a half years of waiting, I am finally coming back to England! I am so excited, and your wonderful video has motivated me to check out the fabulous antique stores while I’m there…. so much better than what we have in my area of Canada! You paid a lovely tribute to our queen. I’m so sad to think of the world without her.
Your lovely commemorative items of Queen Elizabeth II’s memorable and amazing 70 years are wonderful. It is the Queen Mother book of rarely seen photographs that is extra special, and will find a special place of honor in your home. As a very young American girl, I always admired and was drawn to the Queen…these past two weeks I have found myself bringing out my commemorative items, including a month of vintage clippings appearing in our California newspaper, leading up to the Queen’s Coronation. I was fortunate to see the Queen in London on her 1981 birthday celebration in 1981…even that view from afar will long be remembered of a remarkable woman for the ages. I wish you the very best for a successful QEII Coronation mug search!
Thank you so much! We really love the book too, it's so nice! Wow, that's a great memory indeed, love that you saw her in 1981.
Thank you Kirsten and Joerg. What a lovely tribute to our beautiful Queen. I think she would have definitely approved of the tea and cake and especially the tea brewed in a dog teapot 😊 x
Thank you so much!
You were able to get some very lovely items. Nice tribute to the late Queen.
Thanks so much Stella!
A lovely way to remember Queen Elizabeth by taking a trip to the Vintage Store to buy something so special that you have in your home to view through the years. A Queen of strength and duty and deep faith and she will be so missed. Thank you for taking us along on your expedition I so love vintage shops and this one was superb. 🧡
So sorry for your loss❤️🙏❤️ I love your queen. She was truly strong during many difficult situations. She held her own. God bless the Queen and Rest In Peace.

I finally had a chance to watch you tour through that marvelous antique shop. It looked like a massive building. You found some lovely items to commemorate your queen. Mary
They had some beautiful things in the vintage place chairs, painting and china. The second place had some really china and chairs as well. Even tho I live in the states I would also love to find things of Queen Elizabeth 11 items she was a wonderful person an example to all on how to be kind and compassionate. Thank you for taking us shopping it was great. ❤
Yes, the second place is great for furniture although the Vintage Emporium does have some unique pieces as well, it's great there.

What a wonderful shop, I could spend all day there.
I know, it's a wonderful place to get lost!
Hallo meine Lieben,
Ihr habt ein paar schöne Teile gefunden. Das Album ist wirklich etwas Besonderes. Ich wünsche Euch einen schönen Herbst,
Bleibt gesund und macht es Euch gemütlich. Liebe Grüße Monika 🥰 🥰
Vielen Dank!
Watching this makes me want to board a plane and head to Manchester to shop at this antique place! It’s packed full of treasures! I would probably go bankrupt because I wouldn’t be able to stop! Take care, Chris
I really enjoyed shopping with you and Joerg! You really found some beautiful things to remember the Queen. Thank you for taking us along. That book about the Queen Mum is especially beautiful..Gorgeous historic photos of the Royal family..
She was the Queen of our generation and the loss is immense ! Thank you for dedicating this video to the Queen ! The shop is amazing, I wish I was there too ! Luckily, I happen to have the Coronation mug ,1953 ! The caddy you bought is very nice, worth buying !
I don’t know why, but I just felt that to celebrate HRH the Queen’s platinum jubilee I really wanted something special to honor her long reign. I bought her coronation souvenir tea cup and saucer, creamer and sugar and an old tea tin with her majesty’s portrait on it, all originally from 1953. I have it all displayed proudly from my China cabinet. I’m very glad I found it all before she passed away. She was a remarkable Queen and devoted to her subjects up to the end
🙋♀️❤❤ I love what you bought. The queen was a gift to us all.
Hello Kirsten & Joerg, lovely video I think you made very good choices with your Royal memorabilia, very sad about Her Majesty so now you have something useful to remember her. Best wishes to you both.😊
Great choices. Very lovely things and wonderful memories. Hope that you both are having a wonderful day.
Thanks so much, you too!
The Queen was a wonderful woman and I admired her so very much. She reminded me so much of my Nana who was a very similar character. Both wonderful women 🌹
What a wonderful shop thank you for sharing your visit and you bought such lovely items, the book is my favourite and it's exactly what I would have chosen, the Queen was a great lady and did so much for women
So glad you enjoyed it!
Oh what a wonderful shop I'd never want to leave!
What great finds…..what a thoughtful way to honor the queen. You both are so amazingly thoughtful.🌺🌺🌺
Thanks so much!
I love shopping for antiques. I enjoyed tagging along with you today. Thank you for sharing your shopping trip.
Now, this is an unusual tribute, what a beautiful idea. May Her Late Majesty rest in peace and rise in glory. Long live the King! Greetings from Germany.
Vielen lieben Dank!
That reminds me of my late mother, she adore antique stores... Thank you for sharing this 🤗
You are very welcome!
I would have blown a fuse in a place like that 😱amazing and wonderful things. The furniture! Thanks for the tour. The photo album book, what an awesome find🤗you picked some lovely keepsakes💞🌹
Thank you so much for watching, it's a great place!
Thanks for the tour. So many beautiful things. The book of the gueen's mother is extraordinary.
The book of the Queen Mother reminded me,she put her bouquet on the tomb of the unknown soilder on her wedding day...a beautiful thing to do I thought.
This was a wonderful tribute to Her Majesty The Queen. So many leaders are in a privileged position, yet many divide. The Queen throughout her reign truly did unite. I like thrift stores but have never found anything remotely like the ones back home, I get excited if I ever find an old English style teapot! I hope my mum still has the jubilee mugs etc we used get from school! I’m not sure if you’ve seen the recent Paddington Bear painting with The Queen, it’s very popular and gets sold out constantly..hoping to purchase one. Thank you
Thanks so much Gill!
Hi kirsten and Joerg. I love your tribute to her majesty, the late Queen. What a beautiful lady she was and I knew you'd do a splendid tribute to her. That photo album was amazing, a real treasure and a great find, it was like it was waiting there especially for you both. Maybe you could keep the tea caddy up in your lovely attic room, it would be lovely on display there, I would keep a small kettle up there so you could relax with a lovely cup of your favourite tea. Every time we'd see it, it would be a lovely reminder. I watched most of the funeral and it was very touching and sad. Thank you Kirsten and Joerg, for another wonderful video, sending lots of love and blessings your way. 🙏❤️🇮🇪🤗💐👍
The yellow convertible car looked magnificient. I have an Elizabeth II square coronation cake plate that I found in a shop several years ago, such a lovely Queen.
Sounds absolutely wonderful!
Wow, what a nice day shopping, thank you for taking us along! I would love to spend the entire day looking at everything in that antique store, but would find it difficult to get home. And Kirsten you are right, the book on interior decor is also my cup of tea, and this classic style never goes out of style.
Thank you, Kristin and Joerg, for taking us along in your quest for memorable items to commemorate the wonderful Queen. May she Rest In Peace after her lifetime of such devoted service. God save the King.
What a fantastic vintage market. The Queen Mother book you bought is a treasure!
@Kirsten & Joerg,
I truly enjoyed your videos from Germany. It's absolutely beautiful, and I can't wait to visit one fine day.
As always, thank you for giving us glimpses into the wonderful world of Kirsten & Joerg.
Also, I'd like to wish my condolences to you both on the passing of your beloved Queen, Elizabeth II. I know Germany is your homeland, but England is your adopted home in a sense, and lucky to have you! Your care and love for England, the culture, and her people comes through in every video.
The Queen was a global icon and a historical anomaly. Her life and rule were monumental and her passing is profound. The entire world mourns with the people of the United Kingdom. God save the King!
Thank you again.
My best, Lisa from Ohio, USA.
Thank you so much Lisa!
I loved this video. I haven't stopped by in ages. I miss the dear Queen so much even though I live far away in British Columbia! I have seen her a few times in person when she visited Vancouver. Once long ago in 1983, she waved at my sister and I when she spotted us standing alone on a sidewalk during our work lunch hour! We thought that was so kind; we picked a street on which her motorcade drove past and we knew it wouldn't have many people as it was out of the way. What a wonderful sweet wise woman she was.
What a beautiful memory!
Merci pour cette vidéo, d'avoir rendu hommage à la Reine de cette manière. Le livre est magnifique, beaucoup de rares photos
Merci beaucoup Elisabeth!
I watch all your vlogs and love . Guessed l was busy watching the dear Queen’s funeral and all the programs related . Love this vlog . I loved this great Monarch.

I love vintage shopping especially when looking for something special! I love the queen's cookie/ biscuit jar! It will look good anywhere. Nice finds including the 🍰 and tea shop! 😋💜
Thanks for a wonderful video acknowledging our Queen and i loved all your purchases.
What a delightful way to honor the Queen’s memory. I inherited an entire set of Coronation cup, saucer’s, plates , bowl’s and a teapot from my nana. I never use them. I have them in a display cabinet and I’m so glad I never sold them. I’d been offered for them numerous times. What great vintage shop’s! Lovely 😊 video. 💕👑
Wonderful, good that you never sold it! Thanks so much for watching.
Such a lovely and loving tribute to a truly remarkable person, and glorious Queen. Thank you for your meaningful video. I enjoyed our travels today, and all of the treasures spotted! I loved those paintings! I must admit, I was sure you were coming home with the hat box, Kirsten. What a marvelous Queen Mother book (especially for the price). I had to laugh at the “Jenga” like chair display. Your gorgeous deep blue tea caddy is in beautiful condition. Wonderful finds!😊❤️❤️
What a fantastic day out. And thank you for taking me to tea with you. Those yummy cakes! 😋
I loved the photograph book of the Queen Mother. I wish I had that myself!
Kirsten and Joerg, I’m an American from Florida and I just joined your channel and absolutely love your shows about England! I’m addicted! Such great content and you two are adorable!💕🌺
That's so kind, thank you so much!
I could browse in there all day! I love to collect tea cups and I saw a few as you walked about. Thank you for sharing ❤and I am so sorry for the loss of the Queen of England.
Us too, even if you had all day you wouldn't see it all, it's such an amazing place! Thank you so much Lynn!
I love the books you bought.
Love how you both are so thoughtful and so glad you found so many nice things. I love the queen mother's photo album. The tin is nice too and no dents! I had to share this video with my aunt. She loved the queen. Who doesn't? Thank you for sharing such a sweet video at this time. It's been a hard week for many. She'll be so missed.
