That clutch assembly is a trick piece of work Matt. That slow & careful approach is the way to go with this type of job - the only thing I would have added, is several cups of tea!

Yer it’s a trick bit of kit mainly used for drag racing to aid lieving the line as you just dump the clutch and these slipper clutched slip till a desired distance and rpm depending on the weight put on the little arms then it locks up once the forces are applied. I’ll prob not run this cluch as it might slip at low corner rpm and speed so

Sometimes 'Simple' is better - but whatever solution you choose - I look forward to seeing how you bolt it all together.

On the GSXR 1000 they are easily accessible on the other side. Unfortunately my sidecar frame makes it almost as fiddly as yours.

Yer they made the hayabusa a bit of a pig to work on

Clutch looks really new. Good condition. Is it just my limited knowledge or is a cars cluster much simpler and easier to work on compared with a Hayabusa. Or any motorcycle clutch for that matter. Either way. Let's hope the sensor works. 😮

Yer it’s not done much work to be fair, they call this type of clutch a slipper clutch setup, it slows the bikes to get of the start line much easier as you just dump the clutch and this slips and the centrifugal force of the rpm going up and the little arms flying out harder and harder is what locks the clutch up. I’ll probably be taking it off to be fair as it might slip out of slow corners and we don’t want that in a car. Bike clutched have lots of surface area spread over lots of little discs where a car clutch just has one big cluch as space is plentiful

@@skidmores.garage aaah. That's why it's a 'couch pack'. Many smaller clutches.
