Hello Zach...I have carefully and repeatedly gone thru ur recent video on new advanced wind direction model and correct values for min mid max..the new system is bit confusing cause it's not making 2+2=4..suppose tail wind is 10 mph and the club is sniper.. max value of rings on the slider is 9..mid 6 and min 4...and i need to move little back from the max position then how many rings to move back is the question...i now cannot rely on the max and mid numbers and had to just imagine the vague percentage then apply it to slider and the adjust my rings according to the slider ring depicted...but the question is how to calculate how much to move back...in ur video also at 9:08 also u gave an example where...tailwind is 9.3 club sniper...max 11.9 mid 10.5 min 9.2...then u pulled back to near mid and then adjusted the slider accordingly and now u said that we need to adjust 10.8 as per the new ring value according to slider position...but the question is how much to pull back that value will come from where? Also when u have already adjusted it then what to do with the slider new ring value..cause as I again said we cannot rely on max mid value and we don't know how much back we need to move until we move...the new system is pre supposing that we know the exact rings to move beforehand and need to apply that to slider in terms of percentage and then adjust..but the whole thing is getting unpractical when we apply it...I know it sounds confusing but just thing about the point I have raised or plz me know if I m missing something...
Not sure what is so confusing for you Mike-If you need it more even more simple than SIMPLE the best advice is start at the first game instructions wayyyy before these tips and move through beginner instruction vids slowly. Especially If you don’t have any of these features that he is discussing it definitely won’t make sense but otherwise your lack of understanding is what doesn’t make.any.sense. 😊 best of luck and keep playing!
@@jessicaferrell4250 no it’s confusing. I have this tool and he confused me more. So we don’t use the elevation and orange wind directional arrow at the same time? And he’s calling the “elevation adjustments” crazy over adjustments yet they actually work well. So there is where this guy gets confusing. He’s too wordy and talks over himself a lot.
I had noticed that I always thought clubs like the sniper was 1:1, but sometimes didn't work out that way even at max power. So that makes plenty of sense there toward the end. Thank you.
This is just confusing. Can you do a video where you play a couple of games actually doing the adjusting and showing what you are doing and how you are playing while doing the shot.
I would really like to see what your talking about in actual game play.. A visual example of what you're talking about for me is better than a verbal explanation only. I would like to see what u mean in action. Thanks!
Amazing content, great work!! I may add, that at one point, you seem to make things a little more complicated than neccessary - at least from my experiences: when facing tailwind, there are two influences that seem to equal out, more or less: first, an inclination of wind effects due to the extended path/time in the air; second, a reduction of wind effects due to the shorter aiming point. Now what you suggest is to take into account bigger numbers as for tailwind direction and then reduce these by using the slider, because you aim to a shorter distance. As I said, both seem to balance out, which is why I treat tailwind as crosswind, as long as I don't go in overpower, or at least aim into overpower...The opposite is true for headwind: there, both effects sum up. You aim into a farther distance increasing wind effect and you have a reduced path/time in the air adding to the reduction of of your adjustment. So for both effects you have to overadjust.Dear Zachary, I'd be honoured if you would be willing to discuss this matter maybe via skype, because there's obviously a lot more to it.If you don't think it's worth your time no problem, if not, let's get in touch via your Facebook group, I'll catch you there...
For those who are looking for more clarity, there will be much more to come on this topic once you see me using this technique next tournament. Stay tuned!
zachary jones can I get the grid on the notebook app using a i-pad mini 4? Better yet what device do I need to get the grid ? I apologize. I’m just not tech savvy at all😁
@@chipreese181 android only. This is explained at the end of the video and I show you where you can find iOS grid lines by making them in a demo video on my channel
Hi Zach, did you ever do any additional videos? I recently maxed out tour 10 and I’m now struggling on 11 with higher winds. I’m a little confused like everyone else seems to be in this thread, so I’ll ask a question based on my understanding. I set my level 10 sniper at min, I have a 10mph head wind with no elevation. Do I adjust 10 rings like the app calculates or do I guesstimate where 10 rings is going to move me up in the slider and adjust for that number? For example a reasonable guess might be I will he adjusting about a third and therefore I should adjust 11, not 10? P.s. would love you to do a spin video
Zach.. its difficult enuff adjusting rings in 30 secs.. now tht we have to adjust the wind direction and slider to account for the correction.. time is literally too less..
Well it's a good thing you have 45 seconds to shoot instead of 30. All the information I just covered will be easier to learn the more you practice it. I can do all the things in roughly 20 of the 45 second shot clock. This new model is going to cut out a ton of your guess work. Once you find an elevation, lets call it +5%, you'll never need to use a different elevation with this new wind model. It is for your benefit to learn. If you don't want to use it, dont use the slider and keep the wind with the red bars through it and continue playing as usual. The choice is yours.
@@zrjones1984 any sources to reference for those elevations? Also, I'm not clear on the sequence of your procedure. Lets use a simple example of a direct headwind beginning at minimum club range, desiring the ball to land at min club range. I'm going to have to move the target into the wind and away from min distance. My target is now somewhere between 0 and 100% on the slider. Let's say the depicted min club adjustment for said headwind is 4 rings. I move the target into the wind these 4 rings. Let's also say my new target position is at the 40% point between min and max club. I set 40% on the slider and get a new value of 5 rings. So I move an additional one ring for a total of 5. But now I'm at 50% club range and the 50% value is 5.5 rings. See where I'm going with this? We are chasing our tail. Another question I have is if I have my club at it's max range and the correction (using wind arrow and magnitude) is 8 rings. It seems to me that I should expect the ball to land 8 rings from my target in the direction the wind arrow is pointing. I've failed miserably under this assumption so obviously it is incorrect. I've concluded that there's obviously a misconception on my part. I'd like to get away from the GC Tommy method of using elevation to compensate for everything. Shootouts in tournaments illustrate the flaws in this approach where the wind is almost always from a different directions than his example and therefore, his recommendations don't work well at all. The elevation should never change. It's a physical constant. I shouldn't be altering elevation to adjust for headwind/tailwind variations. That's just silly, It's my feeling that the wind arrow will do this for me but I've yet to sort out a methodical approach to each shot. Please clarify. Thank you.
Hey Zach I'm new to the tool, and so I no longer have the line guides on my galaxy that I would engage from the wind assist tab. As well I'm curious if you have the app open but do not use it on a shot then will the settings it has from the last use, will they affect the current shot? Thanks for your work on the game play!
It means percentages you see me using on the slider are coming to both iOS and Android next updates. Additionally to that, the text sizing you see on your version for ring numbers for iOS will be enhanced next update also.
Hello Zachary, I am trying to find any information and explanations for the plus yardage that comes up when im @max distance for clubs & when you see the numbers appear onscreen +1-+10. I am having no luck and hope you can help me.
I am currently testing the notebook system. Assuming that the wind is strength 12 tailwind and I adjust the rings according to the notebook specification, position the ball exactly in the center of the rings, then it often happens that the ball rolls considerably further. In your videos, however, I see that you also place the ball exactly in the center of the center. what am I doing wrong here? I would be happy if you could give me a tip here. Thanks in advance.
Zach, good stuff and thanks for the tutorials. Still having problems adjusting rings with the new grid line. When I use straight up North it's usually OK if it's 5 rings or less. When I use the ring adjustment straight South and try adjusting I'm hitting the ball all over lol. Is it just opposite rings when using a straight South? I should have this down already but it's driving me crazy....thanks for any help!
I want to make sure I'm understanding: (into a headwind) if I'm starting at minimum, I first type in the wind mph and direction... then adjust to those rings... then use the slider to match how much I moved from min distance, then re-adjust to new ring values?
Also, in tailwind scenarios I would type in wind mph then adjust the bullseye using max numbers... You're saying after I pull back the bullseye, I then need to pull the slider back to match where the bullseye now is, then use this new ring value to re-adjust my bullseye, right?
I guess what I'm really trying to understand is, will I have to adjust my bullseye twice... once at original values (whether max, mid, min), then at the actual (slider) value? If so, I need to get a lot quicker.... 👀
Wherever you anticipate you will be pulling the rings to for your shot, that is the slider positioning you use for your shot. Never where your target starts before ring adjustment, it's always after ring adjustment. So use the spot you expect to pull rings to as your distance. There will be more on this topic next tournament. Good luck
@@zrjones1984 wait wait wait. So are you saying that you are using the slider for PLACING a shot on the fairway, green, rough, etc in an exact spot more than min and less than max club distance? In using this we don’t have to guess the ring adjustment for shots placed within let’s say 70% of max club with X mph of wind? Or are you saying…We place target at max distance down the fair way and have a 5mph tail wind that we adjust the let’s say 5 rings for that wind; Then we educated guess that the target is now at 75% slider so we slide it to 75% and get a new ring adjustment of let’s say 3.5. I am now supposed to move the target again or?? I’m getting lost in your explanation here. Please clarify. Thanks.
This update is still not available in android...just checked..when will we get it.....however the update is going to be great zach...at one point I was myself thinking about this..that where to calc wind the point of first bounce or the wind adjusted ring target.....great work..
trying to understand this.. since MID slider defaults to 50% does that mean the general calculation is half way between max and min and then the slider adjusts above 50 to 100 as a reference point in between those two placements? same for mid back to min? adjusting below 50% to 0? want to make sure the 50% is understood as a starter in relation to positions of the ring movement.. hope that made sense.
I gotta be honest after watching this I’m more confused on how to use the tool. So do i NOT use elevation 10% 15% etc if I’m going to use the orange directional wind tool and visa versa? So like in a 5.0mph tail cross wind it says move (3 rings). So i then move the three rings and i should now account for moving the target back?? Lol. WHAT!?
Draw on screen widgets cannot be developed on the iOS platform. This video was shot using an android phone but the information is useful for both platforms. However the Android display is more user friendly and grid is easier to see ring counting. Good luck!

I respect you a lot man. I think you are committed to this game and the community. I think you are a quality player in the game. You helped me build a physical sheet that has helped me tons and I want to get to the next level so bad but I’m struggling to understand this. I’ve watched it a few times now and I’m no genius but I’m not stupid but I just don’t get it. I wish you would just use sniper 10 as an example. After 14 months playing my apoc is only level 4.
The concept here is pretty simple. In a tail wind If you pull away adjusting your rings from the max line on your sniper, you're changing the shots path. It's no longer a max distance shot. You must use the slider and use the position which you have pulled to in the min-max window as your new distance. The same thing applies for all winds, all directions. Wherever you are pulling the rings/shot target to, that's the distance of the shot you use and ring value that needs applied.
zachary jones appreciate your time Zach. Can I ask you this if I was using a sniper at max distance and the ring is 1-1 and the wind was 10mph tail wind roughly how much would that slider have to move?
@@itcouldbme no…he’s saying pull the ten rings…looking at where the target bullseye is guesstimate where on the slider it is now at(ie 75%). Look at the adjustment rings for 75% and go back to max and adjust THE 75% ring adjustment for your shot. Or you can just guesstimate how far you WOULD HAVE pulled back and then use slider to set it for that adjustment. For example, you are at max club distance and have a tail wind that requires you to move it 5 rings. So let’s guess that the target 🎯 bullseye would then be at 85% max club distance after adjustment. So instead of moving the MAX ring adjustment we use 85% MAX club distance ring adjustment for our shot. I hope that helps.

You need to input elevation but the elevation is much less than before. You will find often times just 0,5,10, or 15% will be plenty for almost all holes in the game.
Tried notebook on Ipad 4 mini, this is too much information, we only have a limited time to adjust...sometimes less is more, so switched back to Clash Caddie...

It’s just going to be a gut feeling correct?
@@duece3000gt24 funny looking back at this. fortunately i've come a long way "with" the game and now help clan mates better understand the variables. cheers dustin
Does this still work in 2022?
Zach thanks so much for this video didn’t understand fully at first but once I figured it out this has helped so much killing it on shootouts and albatross again thanks 🙏💥🕳🕳💥
So do you need to still input elevation based on the wind direction numbers? Or is it already taken into acct?
I think I figured it out. Of course u need to input elevation. You just need to slide based on where you move your target to.
You need to input elevation but the elevation is much less than before. You will find often times just 0,5,10, or 15% will be plenty for almost all holes in the game.
Let's add 3 seconds to the shot clock
45.secs is fair
Zach Sounds like you Helped develop this app to help us get better ?
Yes, I am codeveloper of the app. Lots of great stuff heading your way 2019. Keep an eye out!
@@zrjones1984 Definitely will Man 👍.
Gotta say your videos area very informative.
Zach - how do I get app?
When and where will this be available? In-game? 3rd party?
Notebook for clash, android and iOS. But this is the android version in video. They are different
@@zrjones1984 I have Android, so this is nice to see. Thank you.
These are not clear instructions.
Gold clash curve
Tried notebook on Ipad 4 mini, this is too much information, we only have a limited time to adjust...sometimes less is more, so switched back to Clash Caddie...
We have more great features coming in the next few months. If you dont want to use some of the features. Then don't. But we are not like clash caddie and will continue to develop our product in the upcoming months.
whats the name of this wind helper app?
Kuziai golf clash notebook
Thanks for this video, btw
You should be able to adjust up to 480p. Mine is working and everything is perfectly legible on screen.
@@zrjones1984 Yup, after refreshing got 480p.. Thanks for the feedback.
No offense Zach I love the app you know I never really use that adjustment thingy and doing quite well without it regardless you're still going to have to play in Wind effect sometimes too much it's just too much and then you're going to have to relearn the app again you know just keeping it simple is sometimes better off I apologize if I sound like I'm arguing but I love the app and sometimes it's just too much
So why is the game saying -15% and you're saying -5
It's really to bad this app overlay doesn't work anymore.
When? I got beat by someone just the other day who was using this same overlay! Ain't some shit how GC & PLAYDEMIC constantly pushed fairplay for everyone, but for more advanced or hell just bout any player it's OK to use an overlay not in the Golf Clash app to help you get an advantage over players who play by the rules. Hmm.....? Seems like it's ok for "THE CREATORS" to push their sanctimonious fairplay rules on us, but it's OK to CHEAT w/assistance from one of their friends or business partners apps bcuz(MoMo is not responsible for the comments that she is typing right now due to losing her mind over the hypocrisy of gaming apps. Also the inability of the "T.C." to understand that not everyone is as stupid & blind to what is ok or expected of players of Golf Clash but "THE CREATORS" Can't be expected to live up to the same guidelines bcuz when they do it, it's just business, forget that they blantenly allow thousands of players to use the non-Golf Clash(company) overlay, when many other players have lost many hrs. Of gaming bcuz of glitches in the game system that appears that the player must be one of the most unbelievable hackers in the world( yes, goin jail 4hacking moneyless gaming app) automatically cheating. Or someone who is hurt when another player beats him or her. Then claims the player cheated. Terminated!
Well I know I've rambled but 2close,
GC & PLAYDEMIC, when it comes to fairplay rules or the accusations of some1 cheating, maybe you should not be the complaintint, lawyer, judge, & jury that decides a players future, when you cannot follow your own rules of Fairplay & Cheating, & are the biggest ones in making a mockery of the rules!!!
You do realise that people haven't a clue what your trying to teach because most are new babes in regards to the game.. I'm playing 3 months and I don't have a clue what your talking about.
Didn't understand a single word he said
gouf
Let's have a 15 second shot clock tournament golf clash blitz tournament and rookie will have 20 seconds pro 15 and so on
Whoever use this tool are cheaters
I hope i dont play these kind of people I'll lose instantly
They are cheaters!!!!
Far too much shit going on now
I agree Darren, ban these 3rd party apps, ban the rings, and let's just play by eye and feel, that would be much more fun.
I used to love this app. But the changes Are too much. The kiss method works. Your telling me. That we have to keep an eye on the updates on your channel. When changes are made. Keep it simple. The caddie app. Is looking better and better. Wasted of five bucks.
Another soulja, these changes are optional to use. If you don't want to use them, you don't have to. Just don't touch the wind directional input ever. The app will perform as it used to
You make no sense.
