I couldn't watch the whole video. It's such a very sad scene. However, the 747-400 as well as the 747-8f have long futures ahead of them as freighters. Long live the Queen! 👍
I remember flying on the El Al 747 when I was very young, and at the time I didn’t know what a 747 was, so I saw the staircase on the plane and thought it was the coolest thing ever…

747 No.2 became a restaurant, then scrapped, then became a church and now part of it is an indoor golf range.
its not a church, n747pa was scrapped after that whole restaurant fiasco, it's gone forever...
how is possible that a 747-400 being scrapped? its a young plane. the 100-200-300 versions ok but the 400 is still a great plane. sad

They had no reasons to retire its Boeing 747
I heard they didn’t save a single component other than engines and landing gear. Even avionics and cockpit windshields were sent to the landfill. Crazy!
Actually, I think all of the landing gear went to the landfill too. That's usually the most valuable component after the engines
This is not true, all avionics lru and many mechanical parts removed before the scrap.
This is worse than failing a math exam and getting kicked in the face

I flew on a 747 before they stopped using them and I will miss it there is no reason to stop it flying just because they are old

0:32 I somehow got eerie flashback of Pan Am 103 from that part when the cockpit detaches from rest of the fuselage...
Nooooo, flight 103 was tragic and took many lives, here it is just a plane (beautiful one) that ended his life ..
It reminded me of similar with TWA-800
and its real life footage here...really shows how scary it can actually be.

Why is it painful
Very little is recycled. When it comes to retiring composite aircraft like the Boeing 787, nothing can be salvaged from that aircraft

I’m from the Philippines 🇵🇭 and we used to ride the 747 of Delta Airlines from the Philippines to Us so sad they retired it as well now Lufthansa is the only one who flythe 747 as a passenger but it’s 747 800 and the other 747 is using now as a cargo like ups or cargolux
