Very apt video. Similar thing happened with me. I used to think of it as a game. Buy at 9.30, take a dump and while you are finished, you are looking at a profit of 500-800. Close the trade and voila!! Took me 4-5 weeks to make close to 7k, and then lalach got the better of me, I made one more leveraged trade looking at 10xing my profit this time and market reversed. I lost 1.5x of what I gained in all the two months prior in just 1 hour this day. To add salt to injury, computation of intraday trading P&L while doing your tax computations is extremely tricky. You will see a lot of entries of very large volumes which your CA might not appreciate to factor in.

So today I decided to do intraday trading and bought 100 qty of ola electric shares as I thought it was bullish and will surely make me some money. So i bought it as soon as the market opened and then the share fell down 10 rupees and I lost Rs1500..
@@SpaceTimeBeing_ Fundamentals dont matter in Intraday, it doesn't matter who the CEO is, it doesn't matter if the company is profitable, it doesn't matter if the company is good. What matters is if the market is bullish on that stock and if that particular stock is trading near a support level or break out level and rallies from that level which is called technical analysis.

Firstly i started trading in options but after making a loss of 1 lac in 2 year I switched to swing trading which i have started last 4 months with profit of 30k . Simple strategy (worked for me somehow) 1. I do only shortsell, never buy 2. I fix my stop loss at 2.5%. I will not touch it. Even i know moving this or altering this give me 3x profit( this is very tough, it will come only by hard learnings of lossing big) 3. I exit 3x of by stoploss.(even i am 100% sure, continence without exit will give more profit) 4. Analyse what stocks i am going to trade tomorrow. 5. Fix my trade qty. I never trade more than 5 trades per day. With this, with capital of 5L i am making decent money that can supplement my monthly expenses.
@@khushansh_jindal dont get into intraday trading , once losses start , all your common sense will go to hell and you will start revenge trading , over trading and get into a cycle of recovering losses and causing more losses , stick too being long term investor , preferably in a nifty 50 mutual fund where you can save some taxes too and continue the sip every month , does not matter whether market is up or down keep doing sip , both side provide opportunity to make more money , market goes up you make money , market goes down you get to buy mutual fund at a discount and you wont worry about your paper depreciation of your mutual fund since market will go back up again in a year or two , you will never be rich doing intraday trading , but with long term method , you will become wealthy.
IDT is a double edged sword, yes you win and lose. Me and my buddy used to pool together and do opposite trading with close margin Stop loss and long margin Take profit. We lose more rounds than wins, but wins hit 2x money than a loss. It's all fun since we treat the capital as already lost before we even start the day. but man it takes so much of knowledge and time to know what to do and when to stop for the day.
Even one of the most successful tennis player(Roger Federer)himself claimed he only won 54% of the points in the matches. A very important lesson to learn here. You can be a successful trader but need to learn risk management.

In fact, there is no limit to what one can earn from the markets; just make sure to put in as much work as possible in learning.

I lost 4K in intraday trade today in Mazagaon dock. I consider myself a super intelligent guy having AIR of 150 in GATE. I have been making decent profits in the past from momentum investing but I have observed that intraday is a well.. you make some money for some days by taking risk and then one day you lose out all the small gains that you had in a week.my suggestion would be to stay away from intraday.. it's not a cup of tea for salaried class
How can we make that extra money during successful trade? Is it by riding the rally? Does stop loss play a role in cutting down losses in case of unsuccessful trades?
It's sad that after many many years some traders never get over with the reality of intraday. Intraday trading is a complex subject and you have to adjust your strategic day by day. Also average traders not have that kind of resources and information to act on.

started trading and investing together around 2018 ..trading has generated me a little bit of more return than passive investing(on the basis of percentage) ..while I SIP the profits i generate from trading... hours and days and months of studying smc and itc.. I noticed a similar trend in zomato back in 2022 ehen it was trading around Rs60. That the stock had a range of -2to +2. I traded with 5000 quantity that day where as i was duing with only 500 usually. I LOST 30K.After that i became strict with my quantity and stop loss.

I trade in good fundamentally sound stocks when it just comes out of correction. But by bad luck if it goes down for the day, I don't sell it and I wait for it to come up. Maximum times it comes up.
I entered intraday just 2 days back, first day I made 18% profit, and today I lost 20%🙂, i was okay I'll nvr do that again, but wanted to try once more before the market closes, so did 1 more trade and made 35% profit, so basically I m in profit for now as a whole. Although I m doing this with a very minimal amount which even gets lost, it will not affect me. So now thinking to withdraw my whole principle amount which i added 2 days back....and just keep on playing with my profit amount.
The thing is people nowadays have very little patience to get rich slowly. So I do retail investing and I am having a really great time. I never had a loss not even a single paisa from my retail investments I am always on profit.

After trying different strategies , only thing that got me was that the game of stock market is nothing but purely & purely 'Demand and Supply' and Price Action at that levels .But to understand that phenomena you have to be in market because experience is only thing that can help to understand what's actual Demand and Supply game is in stock market. I've done some trading in the past and of course i took a course to understand scalping, swing trading etc. My mentor told me a very valuable thing about trading that you don't need to trade every day to be a trader but you should have a view of the market by analysing global events, policies & what not. And in broader picture that helps immensely. My point is to do trading but not in weekly experies atleast take options 2-3 months ahead. That is a much safer approach.

If we oversimplify it, you can think of leverage as an interest-free loan given to you from your broker. So, your broker basically says that if you want to do intraday trading, I will give you some money so that you can place large orders without having so much money in your account. That's why the amount (the margin) required is much lower in intraday trading. In our example, we just needed ₹11,746.80 in our account to place the order, instead of ₹58,833 (the actual price of those 90 shares), because you borrowed the remaining money from the broker.

started trading and investing together around 2018 ..trading has generated me a little bit of more return than passive investing(on the basis of percentage) ..while I SIP the profits i generate from trading... hours and days and months of studying smc and itc.. I question myself rn was it really worth the time lol .. cuz i am a full time engineer too .. maybe if i had invested my time in other engineering skills i d have got promoted in my job maybe lol.. But i love trading .. charts has always fascinated me and will continue trading loll
I noticed a similar trend in zomato back in 2022 ehen it was trading around Rs60. That the stock had a range of -2to +2. I traded with 5000 quantity that day where as i was duing with only 500 usually. I LOST 30K.After that i became strict with my quantity and stop loss.

I trade in good fundamentally sound stocks when it just comes out of correction. But by bad luck if it goes down for the day, I don't sell it and I wait for it to come up. Maximum times it comes up.
I entered intraday just 2 days back, first day I made 18% profit, and today I lost 20%🙂, i was okay I'll nvr do that again, but wanted to try once more before the market closes, so did 1 more trade and made 35% profit, so basically I m in profit for now as a whole. Although I m doing this with a very minimal amount which even gets lost, it will not affect me. So now thinking to withdraw my whole principle amount which i added 2 days back....and just keep on playing with my profit amount.
The thing is people nowadays have very little patience to get rich slowly. So I do retail investing and I am having a really great time. I never had a loss not even a single paisa from my retail investments I am always on profit.

Bro there is A word called STOPLOSS ans RISK REWARD RATIO that make EDGE for traders
I've done some trading in the past and of course i took a course to understand scalping, swing trading etc.
My mentor told me a very valuable thing about trading that you don't need to trade every day to be a trader but you should have a view of the market by analysing global events, policies & what not. And in broader picture that helps immensely. My point is to do trading but not in weekly experies atleast take options 2-3 months ahead. That is a much safer approach.

If we oversimplify it, you can think of leverage as an interest-free loan given to you from your broker. So, your broker basically says that if you want to do intraday trading, I will give you some money so that you can place large orders without having so much money in your account.
That's why the amount (the margin) required is much lower in intraday trading. In our example, we just needed ₹11,746.80 in our account to place the order, instead of ₹58,833 (the actual price of those 90 shares), because you borrowed the remaining money from the broker.
