This is why I love RUclips, I get to people with great talent that I would never see on tv. This is so cool.
Absolutely beautiful. Even the mistake was handled so smoothly that she could roll right back into her choreography. I wish gymrollers were more popular in mainstream gymnastics. Watching any type of gymnastics is great, but there’s just something so fascinating about the wheel.

Yeah many people haven’t seen this sport because though they call it “gymnastics”, it’s not an approved Olympic gymnastic routine or a sport by itself. Olympics are where the most professional athletes aim to get to as the final destination. So in most countries it’s not a popular sport.

Because this isn’t standard gymnastics you won’t see this in professional gymnasts. It’s not an approved sport for Olympics.
I loved the performance it was beautiful and I'm glad that she didn't get hurt when she messed up a little.

It's fun, but wear butt pads until you get used to those transitions lol. I swear I broke my tailbone the first time I tried one, because I don't have any padding there. Still went back and tried again! You might see if a circus school around you has one, that's where I took classes.

No, she is what's called a "spotter". If you watch more closely, you can see "Israel" monogrammed on the back of her jacket. She was most likely the performer's coach. Spotters aren't always coaches (usually an assistant is.) You can see the same type of people at the foot of all the apparatus in regular gymnastics too, at all levels from notice to elite. There are spotters for the mount, dismount, and the particularly tricky (and dangerous) elements of routines.

First time I’ve seen a wheel routine. I love it, so much better than the other disciplines in gymnastics.
I remember when I was very young, there was a gymwheel class right next to where i had my dance classes. I used to go after my classes and just watch people do that, mesmerized and frightened.

This routine needs to be put on a show like AGT.
Then on the second audition ,have a multi media show in an urban or forest setting and some up to date romantic music and for the semi final do other show with other gymnasts with the wheel and some other equipment like the balls, hoops and others as in a vegas production to show it can be performed in Vegas.
Just food for thought.

most of these judges should be banned from further competitions, i see a bunch of people chit chatting, checking their cells etc. they have 1 frekkin job.
Bjornar Bergetun checking their phones is them probably checking time or the list of stunts she’s supposed to do. And chatting is them talking about if something is wrong or sloppy/ needs point deductions.
