In short, in game, if you play as Gura while visiting Bloop the fishing merchant, there's a line where the fishing merchant beg Gura not to threaten him for free stuff. Gura, when streaming, did try to threaten the fish merchant.

Watame main weapon is pretty strong, but if you get the stamps that speed it up (ghost & stone head) + anything that increases the attack size ( I got the super version of Knightly Milk!) it becomes a very strong area effect weapon to the point where the only time I needed to move was when a Boss appeared. This mostly applies to the first level. ;)

Watame is actually a really interesting character. I'm consistently surprised at the sophistication of mechanics in this game. Watame is a 'does damage through healing' character done in a way I've never seen.
It really is. The other offensive healing characters are pretty much "convert healing into attacks that deal damage", while Watame is straight up "heal to deal damage".
She's kind of the same as Fauna's character which is convenient for me because they are my oshis from their respective regions. Coincidentally, they're also both comfy streamers with a hint of craziness
I heard long ago, that the dev of Holocure was given the chance to make real money off of this game, but refused. This game truly is a labor of love for Hololive, and not a business

Well, it's not about "the dev", but rather about upper management and the industry itself. It's what happens when we mix something that should be an art with profits, profits took over and every "unnecessary" things got removed to increase said profits. I'm sure many game developers want to make their games good, but got cut off by "loss of profits" from management, and being employees you got to do whatever they want you to, or you quit the job.
I recommend trying a similar build with main focus on skill damage with marine, not a yagoo buster in endless, but endlessly fun to nuke normal stages with her climax@@prometheus1815

@tysonvienneau1830 flare and Noel both. Noel has so much raw damage you can stack with her passive that she becomes unkillable, and that just gives her more damage. Giving her gorilla makes her hit bonkers numbers every swing.

I was taken by surprise the first time I saw Watame’s special. How a cute little character can shoot such a devastating ray. But I like the idea that because Watame never does anything wrong, she doesn’t kill her enemies, she just cures them so hard that they die naturally.
lucky watame, getting the BY FAR strongest character not only in the update, but in the game. sat in minute 90 and had no way to die anytime soon so i just had to close the game.
kinda op character when i used them. The build i made, i forgot i was trying to die three times with the feather, and it took sitting still on a boss to die slowly.

I built a tank watame and it was so good, you get uber sheep you dont even have to collab it with spider cooking (obviously its good collab) but even before that collab they just explode when you eat burgers. beetle is kinda good for skill damage and bandage for more healing and tankiness.
So Watame's ult is Master Spark, plus Non-Directional Laser. I saw it in the trailer, and thought they finally added a Phieraggi-like into Holocure. That weapon is my favorite in Vampire Survivors.
I just wish she had the little targeting laser from Sure-Fire Master Spark from 12.3. I guess it was also in her boss stage from Eiyashou, but it'll always stick better in my brain from Hisoutensoku.
Also, have you tried Sana with the new Area increasing item? I recommend Eldritch as a Collab with it, fills the entire screen once you've stacked some pick up range
