As someone who almost exclusively watches streams on mobile, the twitch app is TERRIBLE. RUclips has its problems, but good lord does twitch have more.
As a mostly-RUclips watcher who's getting used to Twitch, RUclips and Twitch chats suck in different ways. Like, on RUclips, you can't even tap to mention another chatter?? And Twitch has a lot of cool third party stuff like the one that lets chat vote on where to click on the screen. On the other hand, Twitch chats tend to rely a lot on third party emotes that you have to use a patched or alternative mobile client to see, and you can't pause/rewind streams (though some RUclips streamers including hololive disable that too). The thing that kept me off it so long was the preroll ads, but Twitch Turbo is a lot cheaper than subbing to every streamer I want to watch. (Though of course, if I want to use their emotes I have to subscribe as well...)

It's always funny to see people on youtube complaining about ads on twitch, as if youtube didn't also have unskippable ADS nowadays and as if Turbo, which is the same thing as YT Premium, didn't exist. btw this thing about webcams is fake and this rumor was probably spread by Merryweather's misinfomation tweet.
at least for me personally i’ve never seen a block of five commercials back to back pop up on youtube that are also completely unable to be skipped, at most i’ve seen 3 and you can usually skip by the beginning of the second ad if not 15 seconds into the first. the streamers on twitch know this is a big issue as well since i’ve seen some of the more considerate Twitch streamers pause what they are doing and wait until the ad break is over for everyone. unfortunately when people are playing online games or stuff like Dark Souls that’s not really possible and an unlucky ad break can prevent people from seeing epic moments like a boss finally being defeated after an hour or more of failures, or someone winning an epic match against their rival in a fighting game.
Besides there not being obnoxiously long unskippable ads back to back in YT, the adblockers still work. On Twitch there seems to be something else regional wise because the best I can get is a 30 seconds "blank" screen telling me there is an ad running after trying various adblockers lots of people say removes them entirely. And Turbo is like 4 times more expensive for me than YT Premium and with the later I also get YT Music so I get all the Holo music with it.
The difference when it comes to vtubers is the ads on twitch can happen suddenly mid broadcast of the stream and they are much longer and unskippable compared to RUclips. Nobody wants ad 1 of 7 to pop up in the middle of an important moment.

But chat experience in Twitch is better tho
twitch is a cesspool. im very happy they dont stream on there
I don't twitch. It's ded platform.
Now that I think about it now we have the Austrian, the Italian, the German and the Japanese... Yabe 💀
