- Welcome to the grand tour of Tekton Zoo! 16 months in the making, this franchise city zoo is inspired by Modernist architecture & includes Penguin Palace, South American Giants, The Night House & many more habitats!
The main influence on the zoo's design is the Tecton group, designers of the Penguin Pool at London Zoo, the Gorilla House at London Zoo, the Elephant House at Whipsnade Safari Park & all the original habitats at Dudley Zoo.

It's been a joy watching this develop. Learned so much from watching your build videos, and you know how much I love the modern/brutalist architecture... that you were able to keep putting unique variations on that theme throughout an entire zoo is still mind blowing. At 6 minutes in this video bought back a lovely memory of my late mother. My mum once told me of the lovely times she used to have going to dances on a Saturday night back in the 50's in a dance hall which is now the cafe in Dudley zoo. Cheers pal....

Randomly, San Bernardino popped up on my recommendations. From the first video I was blow away by your talent. From builds to thought processes, the fantastic editing and commentary along the way, not knowing it was a new series I checked into your channel overjoyed to see a full series and for the past week each night iv watched a few episodes of Tekton.
sad that it’s came to an end but an incredible job you have done, iv really enjoyed watching it all grow and come to life each night iv watched along.

Looks amazing I think that circle building is inspired by the Kansas City zoo. It used to be an old building for the apes years ago

I love how you made it look like the guest come off a bus it's like the get on a bus come to the zoo and get dropped off to enjoy their day at the Zoo that is so cool did you know the other name for the Binturong/ Bearcat their other name Bearcat was a slang word back in the 1930's and it means a person or thing that fights or acts with force or fierceness.

Haha! I filmed the tour in sandbox mode for precisely that reason! Well also so I could chuck out most of the guests to improve the frame-rate.

@@ZSHplays that's generally what I do tho mine ks usually one habitat at a time maybe a bit of path heading off to the next but I always find I end up with so many nearly finished stuff haha

It is! I love that building and it brings to mind a reptile! In the Enter The Dragon episode I talk about how it inspired me. Have you been to the museum?
Do you have any landscaping tips on how to make nice scapes and alos indoor enclosures I really wawnt to try that out

It is outside the zoo behind the Forest area. I didn't want the tour to be any longer than it was, I should have snuck in a cinematic of it though!
I want to watch this but the FPS is so low it hurts my eyes, shame planet zoo isn’t better optimized
