  • TaylorMade Qi10 has landed and today's video is all about the LS model, AS USED BY TIGER WOODS.
    Learn More:
    imp.i366014.ne...
    Today's upload completes the TaylorMade Qi10 family of drivers, I chose to go with LS as the final offering as this is the one I feel like I will most likely use for my own personal game.
    Tommy Fleetwood, Tiger and Rory McIlroy all made the change early into this model with Rory switching to the Qi10 Core model this week in the Middle East.
    Watch that upload here: • Taylormade Qi10 STANDA...
    I have a lot of good things to say about this model so be sure to listen carefully as all the information found in here could help you with your club fitting. A front sliding weight offers a different spin rate to the other models (loft for loft) and as a result I moved into the higher side of the sleeve, certainly something different for me when it comes to the driver but worth mentioning as each head will require a different set up for your game.
    The Full Swing Kit is providing the numbers and I think you'll agree the results are very encouraging for early testing. Notice how I call out the prevailing wind here as the peak is slightly lower than what I'd like to see, quite often this will be the case when hitting into the breeze as your subconscious often will stop better players hitting their usual flight.
    Spin rate is the key here for me, I don't see any high jump up spin numbers from the shots and that's a great sign as I begin 2024 with the TaylorMade Qi10 LS Driver.

    I just got fitted for this driver. I was looking at the qi10 max im a mid 80's golfer. The fitter said the LS would help me lower spin. Cant wait for this club to get shipped to my house.

    It's a beautiful driver. I was just fit for a Qi10 LS at my local Taylormade Performance Lab in Toronto. I walked into the fitting expecting to be fit into the core or max models. But like Trottie speaks about here, I hit down on the ball with my driver. I create a lot of spin. My fitter put me into the LS head and it was pure magic. 20 yards longer, 7mph faster ball speed and much tighter dispersion (when compared to my Rogue ST Max). Don't get me started on feel and sound... it's a dream. Couldn't be happier, it's a beautiful club. Don't be afraid of it being the "players club" it's shocking how forgiving it is.

    For those looking at this review and making comments about the sales talk. Trottie works for Taylormade, he is not going to harp on about Callaway, Cobra etc. It is no different to other reviewers on RUclips who are sponsored by manufacturers. Mark Crossfield who is sponsored by Srixon, does reviews but nothing comes close to Srixon for Drivers, Irons or Balls. Funny enough before Titleist gave him the heave ho, nothing came close to their gear. I believe trottie isn't doing anything different. Enjoyed all the reviews and the in depth thoughts on each model.

      Cheers Rob. Only difference or add on is I've worked for TaylorMade for a long long time so yea I'm connected but it comes from a deep place. I certainly didn't start on here talking about TaylorMade to build an audience it's just how the vids went and people dig it.
      I'll be as honest as I can be but I will add that TM runs deep here so always gonna be hard to say stuff that I don't believe in which is coming direct from the R&D guys.

    • @rossadamdixon
      @rossadamdixon 7 месяцев назад +1

      This is impossible. To change the loft you need to change face angle. The only way around this is to have something on the sole of the driver that make it sit differently. The R1 had a plate that could be move to alter face angle.
      It is possible to stick a small fabric patch on the sole of the club to try and get a similar effect but it would be trial and error to get it right.

    It's funny that even with a tour fitting, Rory originally bagged the LS model, but this weekend, he had the standard model in the bag for his win in Dubai. I can't afford to be fitted for one, and then after a few rounds, I realise i should have gotten a different head.

      The guys will often jump around models at this time of year. Many factors in terms of course set up but also the reps are being active and staying close as they settle in. Seeing a rep over multiple weeks is one of the major differences between a tour fit and a commercial fit.

    Cool video i got to try the three models yesterday, im a spinner of the ball, the ls is great but the core was giving me a better group. But as it was just a trial not a fitting i may well wind up in the Ls. As to the feel the miss hits you do feel and know where you hit on the face but its not harsh its significantly dampened. And i am a average golfer 15is handicap and the driver is the weak point in my game

    I have played the sim 2 for the past few years because of how great it was. I hit the qi10ls amazing but fitter ordered the qi10 because lefties dont get love and couldnt try head to head. 10.5 option. I think chose qi10 given Moi would be helpful for dispersion im sure but im worried about too much spin.
    With qi10 ls 9 degree
    121.8 head speed. 2170 with spin on 9 degree head but only launched 7 degrees and attack angle up. Would you say i switch to ls 10.5 or stick to qi10
    8 handicap.

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  5 месяцев назад +1

      Okay that's a mountain of speed for an 8 hcp! Great going!
      You can go more launch for sure but if you get that launch up you gotta keep the spin in that window, albeit on the lower side it's still in the window for that speed.
      10.5 Qi10 is gonna spin more & I wouldn't say go 9* as you'll have to turn that up towards higher and that'll close the face and with that spin number you have potential for a dive left as you're prolly drawing it already.
      I don't love what the FITR is doing here but I get it. Bottom line, gain a touch more launch, try that 10.5 first and go 1 click towards lower.
      Get the launch up and take out the left miss (if you have that going on)
      Tricky to give you directs without seeing it but from what you've said that's where I'd start

    • @shaham23
      @shaham23 5 месяцев назад +1

      @trottiegolf thanks Trottie appreciate the insight.
      Yea he ordered the qi10 turned down to lower for now. It's club champion so said I can switch to the ls if not getting desired numbers or ball flight.
      I usually hit level to up 2 and hit a draw. But yes miss is left from inconsistent swings but overall improving that as well.
      Hope to come out one day and get fitted at the kingdom !
