You left quite a few secrets behind in this level and the one before. You need to push the caldron of fire to get rid of the acid. It would’ve opened up a stairwell to give you a secret.

You are WRONG when you said "POOR PERFORMANCE ." That mini boss with the axe was a freakin nightmare for me too. I died ATLEAST 5 times with him. His fatal attacks enjoyed landing on my face every time he jumped. The flamberge helped out alot to keep him on fire at a distance, and the flame grindstone so my counters inflict fire as well
What worked for me on this fight was to try to keep the specter alive through the first part. You need him for the second part. I used all hard hits with the same weapon he has here. Mine was plus 5, and then on the second half of the fight, I used the fire (I didn't use any on the first half of the fight) and attacked it in the middle between the worm guy and the head of the monster. That was the place I got attacked the least
I hope you're reading your comments and seeing that you didn't finish your dialogue with the fox man on the balcony during previous level. Send him to the hotel. You can trade the boss souls with him for boss weapons.

Trying to figure out how to get to the area on top and sealed chest in the house(not the key house) you can see that there is underground part behind the wall, but no idea how to get there.
That boss is complete bs. He was spamming way more unblockable attacks for me. When he is in the air, i roll behind him, and he spins around to slam me. No way to dodge it.
He is cancer :/ After 25 failed attempts I decided to just go farm some thermite & power-level my main stat. Totally not looking fwd to seeing him again in NG+ 🫣
Keep at it! I just finished him myself. Using an Advance/Motivity build with salamander dagger (was still viable, though scaling with Tech.) and thermite for those last minutes when it got SUPER sketchy. He dislikes fire quite a bit btw..
It took me 100 tries, don't worry. You can do it. Spend a bit of time farming levels, use the flamberge arm and the flame grinder. Load up on refills for your arm as well. And farming some thermite helps. Fight the fatty end in BOTH phases and avoid the stabby Boi when he comes out in 2nd phase

Hey cowboy not sure if you covered this in your recent live stream but can you help clarify for the community the symbols in the handle blade pairing menu…(-, =, down arrows) these are indications of dmg penalties you are taking with “unoptimized” pairings, for example the shock blade you have here is Blunt type, so it only gets equal dmg when you have it on a handle that does slashing attacks, putting on a thrust only handle means you have a down arrow for thrust so dmg penalty is maxed, not sure what % penalty this is but I’m gonna guess somewhere like 20%. Bottom line, ideally you want strike/blunt on slashing moveset focused handles, piercing blades on thrust focused handles, and slashing blades can do both but prob needs to be a blade with a point on it.
After some testing myself with having all “blades” in the game, there are very few that don’t receive some penalty with paired with thrusting handles unless they are thrusting/stabbing blades to begin with. The starting greatsword blade is 1 of 2 in the entire game classified as “greatsword” that get an “=“ when paired with a thrust handle

I went Motivity/Advance and so far all bosses have taken me two attempts atleast. Archbishop, I barely got it in on the third attempt (last minute stagger) recommended with the coil for up to about chapter 4.
I love this game beat arch Bishop on the first try 😂 it like a mix of bloodborne and sekiro haha very cool game If you told me from soft made this game I wouldn't doubt it
Advanced builds are good in this game but require a little more work to set up your weapons. Scaling also strongly favourites your primary stat, even at equal stats changing the crank to focus something instantly gives you a damage increase. Meaning balanced builds are probably the worst. Much better to go either Strength, Dex or Elemental in this game. Just beat the game using a strength build, running NG+ with a more dex focused build now and maybe I'll do another run later with advanced to see what thats like. Good game but doesn't have that replay value Fromsoft games have.
ABSOLUTELY ! Im 12 hours in and having a blast, it legit feels like a harder Bloodborne and the perfect parries make it so satisfying. Its def not a perfect game, but I personally am loving it
Honestly man I was on the fence with the demo but I'm probably half way in. It's a blast for sure & you'll be surprised of well done this game really is ✌🏼

I put it on the right bumper and changed the atk to x,y dash o a for jump. 😅 I’m right handed so it made more sense
