EVERONE LISTEN UP! Playing an objective DOES help with your weapon xp because it gives you an +50 xp for defending the objective, and now that I got into season 2, I even got up to 300 weapon xp. He either didn't do his research or he wasn't listening well enough. All the videos I've watched said valid ways to get xp.
Thank you for posting this video, I’ve been trying to tell people this as I’ve done my own testing as well, and everyone still thinks the objectives are helping them. They should at least give a small amount of weapon xp for objective play, simply to incentivize it more!
I kinda feel like Ubisoft is sneak teasing some potential video games with the echelon and phantom factions in the game don't you think? Besides that, I just hope that they'll add skins from the OG Ghost Recon games and the OG splinter cell games to this game somewhere in the future and have them grindable through the season pass.

I got my P90 gold just yesterday, it honestly came down to getting comfortable enough and trying all of the attachments. Then, I could just focus on learning routes in each map and fragging as hard as possible. W/ around 45-50 kills per game I got maybe 1.5-1.75 levels per game and got it relatively fast compared to what I expected.
Man gotta love playing Domination, Hardpoint, and Kill Confirm. Play the objective/picking up dog tags. Not only you get Player experience but get Weapon XP on top of that. I barely half to use the double XP in CoD. I can get High kills an play the objective and Max level my weapons in 2-3 games. A lot of time on small maps like Shippment. If they fix this problem on XDefiant, I might redownload the game
What a lot of people don’t realize is this is a free to play game with continuous seasons coming, it’s not a yearly release with limited time to rank up weapons and levels. Things will be slower and that’s how the game is designed.
I didn’t look at it like that. I appreciate your perspective and I do understand there’s a lot more to come but right now it just feels stale with the little bit that it has.

Damn, so point blanks do, headshots do, I was close lol so them point blanks helped me big time when I was grinding the MP7 because I was rushing and playing smaller maps was getting 50-60 kills with the MP7 and leveling it about 4.5 levels per match. That was during xp weekends.
Whoever says they don't like xdefiant this is for you.. Cod at first never had sbmm Never had an overwhelming amount of attachments. Never had a ton of killstreaks (instead it had abilites) Never had an overwhelming amount of operators that we don't need. They don't use real weapon names now. Xdefiant is basically like how cod used to be.. simple menu.. simple attachments.. simple gameplay and features and it's also fun.

That system was also toned way down and has been tightened up since that time, it really started to show in MW 2019 and is now just oppressive and very unfun.
I just don’t find the replayability in this game that I have found another shooters. I’ve been playing it since it came out and I’ve only put in about 4 1/2 hours. In the past when a shooter dropped, I would normally put in 4 1/2 hours the first session. the game just gets really stale and it takes way too long to unlock things. I also switched off cross platform because I’m on a Xbox and it takes forever to find a match.
People who are complaint about weapon xp are just trash, no offence I maxed out my tax 50 in 3 hours and then my m4a1 in 4 hours both gold, it’s not hard

That’s what cod players want is a arcade shooter and cod hasn’t been that in some time the best one was mw 2019 and second best is black ops 4 bc mw 3 (2023/2024) is just dlc so it wont kill it but some people may leave cod bc of how it is so this year cod better be good or it’s going to piss off a lot of people

Objectives are hot zones, if you get a kill while defending an objective you get player AND weapon XP.
