Man, this tune takes me back to my first time super-turbo clubbing until 6am in 1999. Gatecrasher, April or so, Sonique was playing (or maybe Matt Hardwick), and I started to feel it just as the "show me love" comes, a knowing glance swept around from face to face, everyone was my friend until we left in broad daylight, a quarter of a day later, and I never looked back. Actually, that's a lie; I look back *all the time* now! :)
Haha quality. I was there 6 months later for my first time in around September 1999. Went every Saturday for next 3 years. What a fucking place & what a tune this is!! The vocals make me think of that great period "these precious times we shared" "you cannot be replaced you are my history" 😭😭Itwillalwaysbewithyou 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
@@freespirit4706 Nice. We probably crossed paths once or twice over those years. Sheffield was the centre of the bleeding universe back then, what with Crasher and Headcharge. Great people, great music, great times. It was like being transported to the future every weekend!
@@neildhan unreal times mate absolutely loved it!! Pills were amazing back then as well & nothing else mattered but dancing & getting fucked up with strangers who became your family for 9 hours. Do anything to have one more night in that unforgettable place. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
@@freespirit4706 First couple of times I went, with a fairly straightedged friend of mine, I accidentally ditched him and joined a new group. He genuinely considered no longer being my friend after that, which was sad because we'd been inseparable during university days, and got several nights out a week, all year by that point. Anyway, he got over it. After those two nights though, we stuck to doing the boozy nights together, at the Roxy, Republic for studenty events, and university nights. Then I found some clubby friends to go with. Did you used to go cyber in them days? Mine was a bit half-arsed. I'd decorate a high viz, and have a few lights, but they would short circuit from the sweat after a while, same reason I couldn't bother with face paint; I'd sweat it all off. I've been to one of the reunion events, back about 3 years ago, at Area in Sheffield. Definitely an older crowd, as you'd expect. I wonder how many were original Crasher goers. Good nights though, and worth checking out if you're in commuting distance, especially if Scott Bond is on. He's keeping the spirit alive! For me, I'll still love those times and all that great music, but I got more into psytrance after spending time overseas in the subsequent. But I'll be there at the drop of a hat if somewhere puts on a 99-01 trance night...in Sheffield.
When the winter comes When these are memories When there is only me to journey on When your race is run Who will take care of me Who will be proud of me when you are gone Show me love Show me love Show me love, bring me light Give me strength for my fight Show me where I should start Lead me home through your heart Show me love Show me love When the winter breaks These precious times we share I will not feel despair I will be strong You cannot be replaced You are my history With all the love you teach I'll journey on Show me love
This is for you Mr Chris Burnett, my god this tune reminds me of my clubbing days best days of my life. Its been 20 years and there's not a day that I don't think abt you... fuck I'd give anything to go back

You lucky bastards who witnessed some of the best club music ever!
Every time i hear " show me love " i feel something special
Favourite tune of all time
I think Matt Darey is the best trance producer of the classic period (96-2001). Outstanding.
Don't forget red jerry John oo fleming jay burrnet
When the winter comes
When these are memories
When there is only me to journey on
When your race is run
Who will take care of me
Who will be proud of me when you are gone
Show me love
Show me love
Show me love, bring me light
Give me strength for my fight
Show me where I should start
Lead me home through your heart
Show me love
Show me love
When the winter breaks
These precious times we share
I will not feel despair
I will be strong
You cannot be replaced
You are my history
With all the love you teach
I'll journey on
Show me love
The vocals are out of this world. Space Brothers + Matt Darey = masterpiece
