When you said, “I’m going to be playing the Bishop for the first Time” I knew it would be good. Gold.
The moment Claus realises that the Bishop has a pathetic range……hilarious.
As a dedicated SPG player I must thank you, I haven't laughed so hard in years :)
damn right :)
my pain for your enjoyment
@ClausKellerman modern present day jesus,, to the tune. Personal,,, jesus,,,,😂
So you are a sissy player
@JensTwn You only say that because you haven't played them LOL
Have you notice arty shots are always bang on when the target gets destroyed just before your shell arrives?
same when the target goes un spotted but doesnt move you click the dirt it hits... but if targets spotted and your clicking on the target ... yeah na. .
if you can see the target, you WILL get RNG, if the tank dies or disappears, not RNG to roll against your shot. This is WOT in a nut shell. You have no control of your shots, never at anytime, ever. This game is like rolling the dice in Vegas and saying, I roll dice a lot, so I am good at it..... lol that's how stupid this game really is.
So true... especialy when someone else kills him just 2 second earlyer. Lol
Yeah, the math of the game decides the outcome, then the visuals of the game are created to give you a "representation" of what it decided then occurs visually.
So true, I've been saying this for years
I love the Bishop, only played 7.5k battles in it 😁. It's not shit Claus, it's you 🤣
the worst thing about being a dedicated spg player is having the ability to see the whole map, both teams, and watching as your team fucks up every single match
Sure. Seeing that your mediums hide behind own tds en let the enemy take map control over 3/4 of the map and you see it and there is nothing you can do.
Claus, 2nd game:22:43 Your shot hit right where you aimed, and he was there; your kill. The Bishop has a high arc, and can hit enemies that think they are arty-safe. The British arty line is notorious for short range.
Yep...with most British SPGs, your white circle is your max range.
Plus, for some reason, he was not waiting for full aim and was moving his mouse a little with several shots. I think it was so he would get destroyed and trash talk us to get comments.
Same thing at 20:45 when he thought his shot landed short and to the left. That was the M41 Claus. Your 2 shots landed right where you put them.
Laughing my ass off! A person who's never played the Bishop is hilarious. It's a whole new strategy and I've been at the top of winning games with mine many times and I enjoy playing it.. You just have to get in close and support your brawlers. Not so much the Leafblower. Dez Games used to do the 'what kills me is my next tank' series. It was fun!
i was shocked when i saw my range on the map first shot!
If you enjoy being completely useless to your team... play arty.
@@KOS762 It's the player that is useless not the vehicle. I have seen a great many players in heavies, mediums, lights, and TDs that are as useful as tits on a bull!
@@KOS762 as an spg player that is true some matches, but I'm guessing you don't stick around to watch end game carries by your arty and you don't notice when arty are in two of the top three for dmg on your team. You also probably don't notice when six of your team mates playing all variety of tanks score less than your arty.
Six doin less???
Easily 10 or more mate.
It is fun to watch someone experience the frustration of trying to hit things with a two or three second flight time on the shell when they aren't used to it. Especially the leafblower with it's minuscule blast radius. The RNG is always a pain in the ass on the leFh as well. Some days every shell lands right where you aim it, and on others, it just will not land where you want it. I once fired ten rounds at the same spot, without moving the gun at all. Every one of them was at the outside edge of the aim circle. Landing outside the aim reticule is also a regular occurrence.
I really wish the enemy artillery is always as clueless as Claus in every match Im in :)
He has no clue. :-)
Mernin' Claus and friends. Play the tank until you are killed, then play the tank that kills you. Looks like a good time.
You'll probably be moving up in tiers. When you get to tier X, start over at tier V
@@Ariekamikazietier 1
It's about anticipation the bishop is close fire support with a mortar like trajectory.
You appear to enjoy surprising ppl who think they are safe behind cover the bishop will do that.
When playing the leaf blower, I've noticed that I'm bottom tier 95% of the time. Also, this tank can be brutal to play when both MM and RNG say NO.
I agree .... I use it to spot ... lol
Leaf blower can be an awesome short range TD that can hide behind things with it arcing fire.
The Bishop has a high angle of fire. It can hit targets that think they are hidden behind things. You have to earn it's strengths.
It's really fun on the small city maps!
Its not a " fire across the map arty" which can really suck in the enemy gets close because you are sloooooow
I'm glad you played the LeFH and found out for yourself and your followers how hard it truly is to play. I've had mine for a long time and can assure you it has been nerfed by WG who reduced its accuracy and dmg. It was my favorite arti after the now gone SU26 in which I still hold the most kills (9). The LeFH is a shadow of itself and I rarely play it anymore. You have to anticipate a tank's direction and speed to hope to do any dmg and end up using most of your ammo in the process.
That was actually the funniest Claus video I've seen. Well done for cheering me up!
Claus not realising bishop one of best arties in game 🤣
a piece of garbage!
..... until you get spotted.
Its not an arty, its a mortar
Mid lvl artie bishop, Bertie, and hummel are hands down best
I always enjoyed when you did the "I play the tank that kills me" streams, so there's my vote. I love the karma kill by the Bishop!!! LMAO!!!
Yes, if they have the perk that warns them of incoming artillery, and the leafblower has no splash radius, you should be good. If you are in a slow tank, don't have the perk, and have slow track repair you are screwed.
I love this tank. Nothing will make your day more than tracking a slow heavy tank 8 times in a row.
4th game: I laughed again when you realized the range limitation of the Bishop. Hint: You have a great arc with that vehicle so it is easier to shoot over things. So, get behind some cover closer to your targets and shoot over it. It should be interesting when you realize how limited your ammo supply is. Also, you stopped anticipating where the target will be and reverted to shooting where they are when you pull the trigger while not fully aiming again.
Your reaction to the Bishop was priceless
Bishop was an infantry support gun, intended to move ~fast as infantry and shoot same.
First time with the Bishop I realized it was going to be a long grind! Until, I discovered where to move. The Bishop can go where no arty players dares to be. Soon you discover its true power
It's fun watching you play again. Especially lower/mid tiers since most of your replays are high tier. Keep up the good work, Klaus!
With the new skill, one way to still do well with artillery is to know your time/distance for your artillery, and aim at moving tanks. Yes, they change directions, but generally moving tanks have an idea of where they want to get to and if you can lead them accurately and predict where they are going artillery still works(or at least that's how I do it). Or, shoot at players who are in a static fight in a choke point. Oh, and play a more accurate SPG like the Obj 261.
Yeah, getting used to your shell travel time is key. Its nice when you play a bunch of games with the same gun, it almost gets intuitive
Thanks for stopping! LMOA bring the KV1 with the long gun!
I've had 2 matches with 3 spg's on a side in the last month. I like the live content and commentary as you play. Knowing what your thinking strategy wise is very helpful. 👍👍
Up to 3 is allowed, this was in announcement when they last changed arty. Up to MM to decide if there's no other choice than to have 3.
Tell me you're a new player without telling me you are.
Claus nobody hates you for playing the MOST FUN arty there is. It well outperforms my tier 10 arties in most cases lol. The HEAT is life changing, go with a 15 heat 25 reg load, you will thank me!
Its fun, but I still like the Grille better.
With the Bishop, you have to position half way between your front line players, and your other arty in the back ranks. It's saving grace is that it has a really high fire arc, so can go over a lot of intervening terrain. Another plus, is that counter battery fire from their arty isn't looking in the middle of the map for you =)
Bishop is awesome! super shell trajectory. Only real drawback is on large maps, no range...
range is kind of a big deal
I laughed my arse off! The Bisop was the funniest gameplay yet!! Well done Clause. As a Brit in the US I was considering playing British SPG line now I can’t punish myself playing a Bishop!! Lolol
Great work Sir!
Love the no BS game play
Haha Claus, it's refreshing to see a good tanker playing as LeFH-Noob. Some tricks from the gallery:
1. Use at least bounty equipment. Precision will give you a high five.
2. When you aim at a new target and need to move the hull, make sure that the new target ends roughly in the center of the gun's aiming sector. Otherwise, your aiming circle will widen as you have to follow the target and move the hull again.
3. Crew should have at least two skills (BiA, snapshot and clutchbraking are mandatory if you want to be competitive imo). Later, invest in view range, it's a pretty good spotter. The last attacking enemy heavy tank should be aware of that.
4. As you said: Try to stay - unspotted - in medium range to your targets, this thing is not precise at all.
5. Heat will usually bounce and cost a lot of credits. Good for exactly nothing imo.
6. Using 105 Octane is insame imo, you'll barely make profit,. And the tank remains brutally slow. Coffee is mandatory, of course.
and finally: 8. I still can't understand why you as a streamer aren't taking profit of the special sales days in WoT when consumables get reduced by 50% (fifty percent!). You'd safe tens of millions per year. Man, I wish I could buy those crew books...
Btw, 20:42: that shot was a blind hit, exactly on target.
Loved your video, especially the reaction to the Bishop's gun range/Speed-combination!!! Your conclusion is 100% right, you have to be masochistic to play the Bishop. Cheerio & thank you for all your content.
The Bishop is a great tank. I have two marks of excellence on mine with my best game of 7 kills on Mannerheim. it's definitely a forward/advance arty so you have to move up and know the maps for where to set up and know your angles. but it's my favourite tank by far.
I love the concept of playing what kills you. As a Arty Player, I love this tank / SPG! But yes, Arty is nerfed big time, that's why every hit is a celebration, every kill is a miracle.
Hey Claus, your live videos and your strategy videos (best places on the map) are great. Keep It Up!
Man your giggle cracks me up. I subscribed to your channel because of it and let me tell you you are the first RUclipsr that I have subscribed to that has their mug on the screen!
Does anyone else keep moving their mouse around while watching Claus play these battles? Just curious. I noticed that I did it sub-consciously.
Not as much moving as trying to switch view modes and stop/shoot. Stop, Claus, stay right here where are you going... Stop and just pepperspray them even if you don't see them.
I love the bishop, had one of my best battles in it . I think you should give it a few more goes.
If the arty sucks and is still hated, then the spg players must really kick ass.
The hate is always from those who where lucky enof to get hit by Arty's. 😀
Nah, the rest of the player base just feels entitled.
If WOT decides a game is over, a SPG shell will follow you anywhere.
ahhhh my friend you make this game fun again...i especially like it when you change your voice modulator;epic. Keep bringing joy in a chaotic world
You got a golf clap from all of us when you hit that shot in the first game
24:20 - yes Klaus - you are the greatest player in World of Tanks! Nice Lefefe game play. I did't know that leaf blower is so RNG depended - when i was facing it this arty was hitting me with pinpoint accuracy almost all the time. Maybe you need to go a little bit closer to the enemy line in it - hard to say i have never decided to spend money on it when i still played the game.
About Bishop - those low tier british artys have very short range - it change with top gun of Crusader SP. Back in the day tier VI (FV 304) arty was awesome - it was hitting almost to the point and was shooting each 9 or 10 seconds if I remember correctly but WG nerfed it to the ground - increasing it size twice over and nerfing HE shells. Still remember tier VI strongholds/CW with friend where one of those could change course of battle (2 shooting Cromwells and T37 when they were top pick in team battles). Nowadays only tier 10 is somehow descend in this line if you know how to use it. But Russian tier X arty is 10 times better in every aspect other then picking enemy tanks behind the cover.
About your next live game - KV1 still is one of the beast tier V to play, but MM that almost all the time put you in +2 battles make your experience pain. You can try plying it with 57mm gun like the person that killed you, not the top 85mm. You are playing better Churchill III then - better accuracy, more damage per shot, sturdier armor profile (turret armor) and better gold pen then that bigger gun. As top tier you can sometimes get battle (enemy need to have a lot of soft targets to do that) where all you need to do is to click x3 R and right click/hold left click enemy tanks.
It has been maybe three years since I have seen a sheriff in a game.
The Bishop " They just put it in the game so they can laugh at British people" Coffee out the nose. Unlike half the tech tree tanks, Bishops actually saw service in WW2.
Small maps, three SPGs, big maps 1 or two - gotta love the MM.
/ The Grille SPG on tier V is a beast, play that, Claus :P
keep rolling them out Claus! love to see you play
if the enemy have artillary sense skill, don't fire right at them, assume they are going to move and shoot where you think they might move to.
Greetings from Germany.
I hope you enjoy the peace and quiet in your autumn residence! 😊
Playing almost exclusively arty I love that you are willing to put yourself through the pain I feel so often! LOL!
There really are games in which it is impossible to hit anything playing arty despite crew training and equipment.
And yes - WG now rigs games by having one team have Alpha Rolls and the other team have low rolls - makes for quicker games
Oh, and I love the Bishop! You have to move up with your team and die if they fold :)
Remember - It's not how big your gun is but knowing which tank to hit and where to hit them!
22:45 commander says "Il est cuit, passez au suivant" so it's like "He's done, let's take an other"
I think it was the other arty's shot which was outside the target area, yours was the one in the center. You were assuming the other arty shot was your's. Nice to see you play wot.
that was a fun tank when I got it - try the 304
I enjoy artillery in the game. So, no issues with the leafblower. They need to buff artillery actually. I only use top down view, I find it more accurate.
I have played SPGs for a number of years never a dull moment cheers
I was just about to have the first bite of my lunch. Searched for you channel and the new video dropped 2 seconds ago. I am calling myself lucky. :)
ooo I kinda like the randomness of playing what kills you, but that has the potential of keeping you in the same tier for a long time
I remember playing platoon with my cousin in his lefh and me in elc, extremely op combo
I aced my Bishop by getting a steel wall, most fun game I've had with artha
one of the best monty Python Sketches... "Claus was about to play what kills him, WAIT CLAUS DONT GO THAT WAY!! but it was too late....ITS.. DA BISHOP!! "cue spy music"
bishop probably has the steepest shell trajectory out of all the artys.. it can hit things other arty cannot. but is black so its kicked to shit and all the good was removed and now its like all arty.. a husk of its former self.
With the leaf blower I always tried to shorten the distance to the enemies because of the non existent splash damage.
Claus you are driving me crazy playing arty and not in top down mode.... aiaiaiaya LOL fun vid! Next up, the Grille! It's got splash at least, but still no range.
Funny how Claus call Bishop crap while in fact it is best arty in the game for the people who actually know how to properly play arty and know the game as well. You simply follow some pack of tanks and provide close fire support. Yes, you are slow, yes you have short range, but benefits are way better - quick reload, quick aiming, good accuracy, high arc of shell so you shoot guys behind cover, plenty of ammo. Simply brilliant 🙂
Statistically, too often there is an inverted bell curve. I.e. the shells hit on the perimeter of the circle, not in the center. Sometimes you can figure out that most shots end up to the right, for instance, so you just have to aim to the right... :) It takes often 1 shot to figure out if the whole game will be lost of not. Just bad....
The first game was a typical leaf blower game I often had. There seem to be only two types of games for this arty: good or really bad.
I don't know why the leaf blower gets so much hate because it's totally overrated and not nearly as "game breaking" as many say. Everyone how played it knows this.
I don't know, there are dedicated Leafblower players out there that really know their stuff and get the best out of it. It's a pest!
you just need a really good crew :)
@@generalpublic3744
Exactly! One of the best games I ever had in any tank was in my leaf blower (7 kills, damaged 13 tanks) and the next battle in it, I barely did 200 damage.
Leaf isn't quite as idiot proof as it was before arty nerf. Its still deadly when the stars align, but you have to aim, have the shell travel time down and the RNG gods on your side.
People who don't play arty always crack me up! It's just a different skill set. Almost an art to be honest to hit moving targets. And Claus doesn't even see the craters his shells leave? LMFAO!
Shooting with this tank is a challenge. It makes it like a sport. I was routing for you.
I do that a lot. Pick a random tank to start, then play it till I’m killed and then play the one that kills me. It’s fun.
If I recall correctly, when I played the Bishop I could gain extra range by pointing up-slope on any available embankment or hill. But that was console and it was like 9 years ago.
You also get a free audio cue when arty is coming your way. It's a deeper boom and it means it's coming your way.
Just checked my record for my Bishop... my record is 7 kills in 1 battle, my number of games is 5,156, 52% being victories . It has pretty tough armor.
When you change your point of aim, it's sometimes worth taking the snap shot rather than waiting to aim as reload time is shorter than it takes to aim in. Amazing how many times that snap will land!
9:18 You'll hit a dead tank every time!!! A spotted tank, you'll hit all around it, the second it goes dark you'll hit the opposite side of the map!
Never played arty, but even I new what it was like, your reaction tho was priceless :))
I love my leaf blower. To hit, all you have to is use the force to anticipate where a tank will be 3.5 seconds after you shoot. Easy peasy.
Used to be deadly accurate when it was sold... all the whiners got it nerfed- it was unannounced, but noticeable. THEN they showed the tracer and added the perk. The RNG is so bad on this now, you have a better chance of hitting moving tanks than stationary ones. Aim where you think they are going, NOT where they are.
I was laughing about the Bishop the whole time. I played it and learned to love it once you learn the limitations as (entirely) a support tank that needs to move with the team. The FV304 is the same but only faster. Aim (fully), shoot and scoot forward.
Claus, the LeFH, Bishop, FV304 & Crusader (with the pop gun) need to be played as close to the enemy as you can w/o being spotted. I usually follow the HT's & ding the tanks that hide behind cover. GL & HF!
When RNG doesn't screw you over the leafblower is quite funny to play
Flamu has posted a number of videos on aiming issues in WoWS that appear to have been generated by new versions coming out without proper QA. My guess is that the same thing has happened in WoT, but that it's less easy to spot...
Love that the bishop did 1 point of damage for the whole game and ofcourse kills Claus, rofl what are the odds.
I play SPG almost exclusively, Claus please trust the Bishop is hilarious fun when you master it. It's kind of like a bulldog, really it's own breed and just as whimsical.
Klaus, you gotta play forward with that arty like the fv304, but with longer range. Long shots do exactly what you are unhappy about - flight lag - that allows the target to move from under. Shorter range improves accuracy because the round arrives faster. I would love to have a "Leaf blower" LOL
I used to love playing Tier 5... but it has become far too common that I am up against Tier 7, time after time game after game. The two tiers down thing is a large disadvantage especially when the Tier 7 is pumped. So overmatched. You start off as a one-shot-kill to many of your opponents, many of whom you cant pen. I've landed shot after shot on tanks that I cannot scratch, and they one or two shot kill me like I am cardboard. Given up tier 5. I find tier 9 the most balanced tier to play. You have a chance against most Tier X and often end up amongst those Tier 8 premium 'buy a tank' seals.
My only complaint is that this was a German refit of some old WWI era French tanks that they captured. Yet somehow it is in the France tech tree. And, yes, it is one of the few actual SPGs that were made to be used like they are in WoT in real life. The reality is they usually would position tanks on a railroad track embankment as it was easier by far.
You have to anticipate which way they are likely to move claus, and you are waiting too long to fire when your aiming circle gets to the smallest size.
Artillery can now shoot curveballs and sliders. Have you been hit in your RNG-hole with one of those, yet?
Da, da yuri. Happens when gun is fired while barrel is traversing, yuri. It impart new spin on shell. Like that movie starring Angie Jolie. And when game says yes, yuri the result is “No Fun for You”
The lead up to the bishop game is lol city.
GG Claus
At the 30:00 mark. That there got my goose
Dude, the LeFuh is hilarious - it gets a good amount of plays in my garage :) Bert is equally annoying lol
As a player with a 60% WR in my artillery, I can say with confidence: You're doing it wrong Claus. The leaf blower needs to be firing HE all the time and yes, you will run out of ammo, that's the deal. I use a turbo instead of improved rotation to help me get to cap and put pressure on my opponents. My WR is almost 70% in it but yeah, it's a crap shoot, hence the need for volume. As for the Bishop; it's a close support tank (I've 3 marked mine, 62% WR) and it's one of my favorite tanks to play. It's accuracy is op and it can lob over buildings; it's just a matter of predicting where the target will be in 1.5 seconds. Like I said: You're doing it wrong. ;)
All that said, even if you do it right, it's still like playing a slot machine.
You want pain? Try the tier 10 brit SPG: Wait 45 seconds, aim 15 seconds, fire at a stationary target that is entirely within your aim circle, miss, repeat.
Using "g" screen when firing will give you less acc shots, line up your shot with G then switch back to birds eye, then shoot.
LMAO the solid minute of "I didn't kill him" after the game says he did
Took all arty to tier 10, it can be a challenge. That why I have to laugh when the kiddies cry how OP it is. They never think to just move out of their favorite bush.
Those of us that did suffer through the Bishop do so before they nerfed arty into oblivion. As for the leafblower try firing the heat. It is faster and tends to have a better sigma.
The Bishop is freakin awesome! Very often top 3 in damage and xp. Kicks but...except in a big map :(
Bishop is a great arty, no range, no speed, excellent lob and accuracy especially good in town maps where you can really make a difference
12:51 It means you need to play the LeFH18B2 as a sniper, which you were doing in the last few seconds. I haven't played the leaf blower in 5+ years, but I found that the best way to play was bush myself in a direct fire sniper position like any other TD.
Oh the duality of this. I ended up getting it at some point, can't remember, i think it was a loot box or something. I've had games where I've literally been top of the team and games where I've done absolute fuckall. I remember one time i literally carried a game where I was top tier and then the one right after I couldn't hit shit.
When playing an SPG, one does not directly aim at the enemy tank but just a little past it. When one sees a red line between the target tank and the ground between the target point, chances are one will it the target tank .
First battle with the Bishop on the Map Highway. Because of the short range, I always drove towards the enemy base. Did almost no damage. But captured the base alone and got the robber medal for it. And that's unplanned, just because the thing has no firing range and is totally slow. Surprise surprise 😁
"Move, but don't move that way!." LOL
105 LeFH18B2 Leaf Blower SPG. Love it Had it 6+ years. The warning indicator of incomeign rounds has made it harder to get hits. But when it hits it is lethal.
Bishop is slow and short ranged but shells damage. And it costs credits to play.
