  • I've seen this video elsewhere on RUclips, but the sound was badly out of sync...as I purchased the Extinct Attractions DVD which featured this footage, I would like to offer it here for others to enjoy.
    I do not own the footage, nor do I make any claims to it, posted under Fair Use.

    YES!! Finally ! THANK YOU for taking the time to do this. I'm a big fan of Tony's and it always bothered me that the only footage available was the terribly out-of-sych version. Great to finally see his gestures and expressions when they actually happen...! :)

    This is amazing, as a haunted mansion enthusiast, or at least something like that, this is truly breathtaking. The story telling, the attention to detail, etc. It's really really awesome.

    Thank you for the synced version! I got this on DVD several years ago. As an animator (on projects for Disney and other studios) and model maker/animatronics artist, I have always loved the stories behind Disney attractions and the differences (some subtle some not) between installations at the different parks. Imagineering and companies like Arrow (known for roller coasters, flumes and about 1000 other inventions that gave us modern theme parks) have given the world the best dark rides and ride systems. Now we have added technology like we see on Toy Story Mania....can't wait to see what is next.

      Many thanks for your comments here...as an actual professional who appreciates dark rides and their history, I would love to here your thoughts on my dark ride project, The Daark Valley Orphanage, which I am not only creating as a POV 'on ride' experience using fully functioning miniature sets, complete with effects...but I have also come up with an entire faux history of the 'attraction'...you can find the POV video on my channel, along with many Behind The Scenes shorts as well...

      My Animation teacher might have worked with this guy on splash mountain. He made the logs and wolf projection right as you go down final fall in DL California. My project is going to be remaking this graveyard scene for my yard haunt, of course a bit different though I already remade the Haunted Mansion Holiday graveyard scene but I think it's time for the original.

    This was before the big digital revamp at some point in the '00's. A lot has changed but it's mostly sound and some new lighting effects and some expansion of the front queueing area. But the hitchhiking ghosts is a totally new and digital experience.

    I went through the Haunted Mansion once back in 1993. Late this summer my wife and I are going to Disney World. I'm so excited to finally see this attraction again with the changes made since I went through it last.

      It's not exactly a werewolf. It's actually a skeletal hellhound howling from the cemetery.

    i think its kinda cute how they made the paris one a bit more on the romantic side in the plot of the ride, with the bride and the Phantom.

    • @TherealRNOwwfpooh
      @TherealRNOwwfpooh 7 лет назад +1

      The Phantom & The Bride are said to be Henry Ravenswood & his daughter, Melanie.
      The Ghost Host & Beating Heart (Prascilla [Ken Anderson's sea captain concept]/Emily [The Haunted Mansion Comic Book, with her wed to Master Gracey]/Bernadette [Epic Mickey 2's Lonesome Manor in Bog Easy]) are entirely different.

    • @andreapatane4204
      @andreapatane4204 6 лет назад +1

      Really? You're talking about Phantom Manor located in Disneyland Paris and possibly even the comic books about The Haunted Mansion.

    • @KarstensCreationsKC
      @KarstensCreationsKC  8 лет назад +3

      +Kelly Henderson Early 80's, I think...but not entirely certain...and yes, it was definitely shot before many of the updates/renovations we see today...;)

    • @kellyhenderson9972
      @kellyhenderson9972 8 лет назад +3

      +Karstens Creations I grew up in the eighties. I know that bride wasn't around when I was a kid. The bride that was around when I was a child had a glowing red heart. I can't remember what year the silver bride was put in. She's not terribly scary. The original bride was most terrifying. All you saw was glowing eyes and a glowing heart and skeletal hands.

    • @KarstensCreationsKC
      @KarstensCreationsKC  8 лет назад +1

      Oh, I SO agree, RE the Classic Bride...silent and deadly...;)
      I also grew up in the eighties, but rarely made it to Disneyland, so I defer to your superior experience in the matter...maybe the mid 90's then?

    • @kellyhenderson9972

    Tony got something wrong. He says the Hat box ghost was gone before the ride opened. that is not true. it's not exactly known how long, some say a week, HBG was in the attic after the ride was open. A few visitors to the park rode the ride and took pictures of it and those pics are online if you look for them.

      But I would like to say at the end of the day at least the Hat Box Ghost is in Disneyland now. He's a cool asset and a nice idea for a ghost.

      +Benamax My parents and I saw him this year in May and October. I hate to spoil the magic and fantasy for you unknown people, but here it goes. On Haunted Mansion Holiday, the Hatbox Ghost DOES have an orange ribbon with black stripes on his top hat. See if you can find it when you're in the Black Christmas sleigh (Holiday version of the Doombuggy).

      Taylor Ward I'm sorry to hear that. I have a good memory. I do remember that my parents and I along with the unknown theme park guests got stuck in the Attic and the Cemetery on Haunted Mansion Holiday. We were all seated in our Black Christmas sleighs which happen to be the festive versions of the Doombuggies. It wasn't fun at all.

      +xurbition My mom told me that he isn't that scary. In my opinion, he does look a little bit like Ezra the hitchhiking ghost with plastic surgery. LOL! He's on my t-shirt of The Haunted Mansion that happens to be sold at Port Royal Curios & Curiosities in Disneyland located in Los Angeles and Anaheim, California. The 1 that glows in the dark like my Jafar pin does? My dad said that there are blacklights on all of the dark rides in Disneyland that light up and shine all over t-shirts and white tank tops worn for 4 days or less.
