Honestly, just read the manga if your interested, it’s better paced, less filler, and you’ll get through it insanely quick even if you read slow, then go back and watch clips of your favorite moments
Lol, to give you an idea, the usual rule for anime is 2-3 manga chapters equal an episode, however One Piece’s anime kept almost catching up to the manga because of this they began stretching (pun intended) the source material to the point where in some storylines their are more episodes then chapters, simply put what the anime does in a 24 minute run you can just read in like 2-3 minutes
@@ciisehassan9134 Sure, there aren’t a lot of filler episodes. What the anime is absolutely loaded with though is padding. Something happens. Then we see each individual crew member’s reaction. Then we see all the other enemies’ individual reactions. If there are civilians or bystanders, we get a group shot reaction. In some episodes the recaps get just stupidly long. In one arc a few of the episodes start over 7 minutes in. So you got 5.5 minutes of recap from an episode that only had 16 minutes of original material. One arc has a flashback sequence of which clips are shown 55 times. The show is almost 1000 episodes so far and it could easily have been 600-700. I know it sounds like I’m trying to crap on the anime. The story is faithfully adapted. The music is fantastic. The big moments are mostly incredibly done. It’s just the pacing is terrible and the quality of the animation suffers for a very long stretch in the middle (the animation is fantastic in the latest couple arcs). It’s just that nothing compares to the manga. The manga is the best manga ever written. The anime is slightly above average when compared to other anime. If you do prefer the anime, I absolutely suggest just skipping to the title card every episode and skipping to the next when the “To be continued” screen appears. You’ll save a ton of time.
