Thank you so much Ms. MathBell!! You made it easier for me to relearn and refresh this all over again! I have to take a certificate test with basic math, some Algebra and some Geometry! Help me Lord!! Again, thank you soooo much! I hope to use you again for Algebra and Geometry ma'am!! 🙂
I have an exam in two days which i am very stressed about because i missed a lot of days of school so i was really, really stressed, however this video made me understand everything thanks to you💗
I'm going back to school late in life and haven't had to add or subtract fractions in over 40 years. I watched a few videos and yours are the best and easiest to follow. Thank you, my frustration with this simple task was causing me incredible stress.
Yes that is definitely one way to find a common denominator! Sometimes doing it that way won't always get you the lowest common denominator though. For example, if the denominators were 4 and 6, if you multiply them, you get 24, but their lowest common denominator is actually 12.
It can be. If the numerator is larger than the denominator it means you have more than a whole. So if you have 17/12, that means you really have 1 5/12 (to put it in pizza terms, you have one whole pizza and 5 slices of another pizza that was cut into 12 pieces).
Teach students how to add fractions with the same (or like) denominators by watching this video: ruclips.net/video/yBptVUa-Nsk/видео.html

Who else has a test tomorrow and is struggling😅
thank youu its helpful
I was taught to multiply the denominators to each other to find that lowest common denominator, ie: 3x4=12, so 12 is the common denominator.

yall know the answer is wrong because the numinrator cant be bigger than the denominator
