- While in Coimbra, you can run into some fantastic performers. This particular night, I ran into a folk punk performer from Holland. His name is Michel, and he performs with @wineboxproductions. Also, hit the sub if you have not already...

As I was sitting down to enjoy my dinner at Maria Portuguese, a street performer stepped up to the stage. He proceeded to sing to us about how he is not a good person. Then, he apologized for needing to leave as he was late for making dinner for his family.

Certainly the best folk punk act you will find in Coimbra. They are very authentic and nail these covers to the stone walls.

English is probably not his first language and he absolutely murdered this. One of my absolute favorite songs and my introduction to Pat.
The beautiful harmomica accompaniment, the eloquence of the light strumming when most effective, all his intricacies are original but faithful to the original at the same time.

Holy moly. This made me so happy. I went and commented on his channel as well, but wanted to drop one here too. I would love to see more of his stuff, both covers and originals. He's really the first person I've ever seen covering Pat that does it justice.

@@AtypicalVagabond thanks Homie. It's a huge issue in the folk punk scene. Well I guess in the punk scene too, and in certain parts of the folk seem to. Pat has a really cool PSA about it from just before he retired.
@@KaChowAndTheGang I don't normally get into my personal past on here. However, here we go... Aug. 3rd, 1997 was the last day I used mind or mood altering chemicals. Even when I was using the punk scene saved my life. It gave me the escape I needed. Luckily afterwards I was given the opportunity to get clean and go on the adventures I get to go on. If someone here is reading this that is struggling with addiction there is a new way to live. There are groups there like 'Punk Rock Saves Lives" out there to help. Many of us are unwilling to go into mainstream methods of recovery and I understand there are many others out there that work very good.
Pat the Bunny was the best ever....I wonder where he went. I wouldnt be surprised if hes like chillin in some trailer he dragged into the desert.
