    Sweet reverse bleeder but FYI to other DIY’ers, blow off the bleeder first so you don’t push debris back through your brake system. Awesome build

      That or remove, Clean and then proceed with the reverse bleeder

    Thanks for showing the bleeder, I'm having issues with my EP3's brakes. I tried a conventional bleeder with no luck, so I'll try this before I change the master cylinder.

    Fantastic content, and I like it when they showcase tools to make life easier! I am curious to see how many people start doing K23 RDX swaps from here on out.

      If this works, it would be a cool option for OEM-ish boost on a K.

    In situations like these you can take the outer CV joint from one of the axles and use just that to bolt into the hub that way you are squeezing all parts together within the wheel hub without needing a full axle going from the wheel to the transmission you can just use this piece to take spot of a whole axle. Similar to how you would put cups into the differential to make the car rear wheel drive only on a car that is all wheel drive you can put the cups from the front axles into the hubs and be able to tighten down your axle nut. I hope this helps a lot of people out with getting a roller ready to roll. I've seen countless cars come my way with the axel nut hanging out under the center cap for wh33l

    I’m glad to hear the 24 block should work nicely. I have a K24A8 and bought a practically new ‘12 RDX full motor. This K23/K24 will be going into my 89 CRX Si, eventually. I am following this build Very closely and have watched all segments multiple times. There seem to be some gaps in information that you’ve most certainly covered on other builds but are unclear to me. I’m new to the K-Series because “kids”, so I do have lots of questions and would love to communicate further. Budget AF because again, “kids”.

      @@VTECAcademy Thank you, I don’t want to be a big bother but there are definitely some things I’m thinking about. I will send an email as soon as i can get situated. Would you recommend getting Haynes /Chilton manuals for these two vehicles even though it’s just engine related? I have always used the Chilton for my CRX.

    This build is very unique and I really appreciate you going through the steps to perform it because they are people out there that exist like me that bought a k24 A4 160 horsepower baseline accord but need a true 3 lobe Vtec head. This one seems fun. My next question would be if rocker arms from a TSX engine can swap into this k23 head just fine or not

    • @VTECAcademy
      @VTECAcademy  Год назад +2

      Unfortunately no. There is no place for the lost motion assemblies.

      @@VTECAcademyI understand the head I have has no lma spots that was one of my stopping points but are you staying the k23 is not a 3 lobe VTEC either?

    Is there a good vented hood design to help keep my k swap cool in traffic? I get temp creep when the cars in traffic. Have ac so it has a fairly large condensor up front but it's bled properly and cools fine when moving.

    hello, i have a question and may be you can answer, i have a 2003 accord k24A4, so id like to upgrade the cam shaft to gain more horse power, so the question is; can i replace the stock cam shaft stuff 2 lobe vtec economy using the stuff cam shaft from a k24Z3 of 2009 TSX just to make 3 lobe vtec on the intake without replace the head?

    • @VTECAcademy
      @VTECAcademy  Год назад

      Nope. There are things missing on the casting of the head that makes this impossible.

    Dear VTEC Academy,
    I\'m contacting you from Zambia
    I came across your website from RUclips as I was browsing to search for answers.
    I have Honda crv 2002 with K20A engine which has seen its better days, as it has clocked 200,000 plus mileage. What is happening is that my vehicle has a huge fuel consumption now than before, its taking about 13ltrs/100km which is not normal. I have tried to maintain the service schedule but nothing changes in terms of fuel consumption. I have therefore decided to explore other options of just buying a good second hand engine but unfortunately it seems like K20A engines are no longer on the market. I have found K24 instead, which brings me to my question; can a K24 engine fit in my vehicle? Do I need to buy a new gearbox as well?
    Your response and recommendation will be highly appreciated.
    May I have your WhatsApp line if possible?
    Kind regards,
    Francis

    • @VTECAcademy

      Yes, I twill fit. The K24A1 is the engine that comes in the US cars.
