    I think its a great repair process, and looking at the technique and the set up they get plenty of these blocks.

    This shop not only does automotive racing machine work, but is also a classic nes dealer. The angry video game nerd approves.

    Sorry about the Music guys. I edited from my phone and it was the best option. Turn off the volume if you need to.

    UPDATE: Due to an overwhelming complaint of the bad Mario Music....I have updated the music to something a little better in my opinion. (You could always turn the volume down if you don't like it. ) Thanks for watching guys and gals!

    Does the block need to be annealed after this, or is it good to go when it cools? Saw this technique back in the late 1980's, they resurfaced a brake disc with deep grooves, didn't seem like a good thing to do for a part like that, but a block repair it looks to be a good thing.

    Is the block worth saving? What happens to the overspray that goes into block?

    A good video, however, could you choose better chiptunes or no music at all? It sounds like someone is playing an NES game without blowing on it first.

      Utilizamos una antorcha de polvo de pulverización en caliente Eutalloy. Fue un mejor proceso para esta aplicación. Fue mucho más rápido y más indulgente cuando se trata de grietas.

    Not a late model Chevy. It appears to be a 348/409 block. I have one just like it with a crack in the water jacket in the same place I am getting ready to weld as soon as the weather warms up so it can be preheated. HATE THE MUSIC

  • @banno6938

  • @davidmethvin1705

    55% nickel stick weld in 30 seconds on preheated block would do it profitable

    • @jondavidmcnabb
      @jondavidmcnabb 3 года назад +1

      I was thinking the exact same thing! A decent arc welder with a reasonable nickel rod would have had it repaired in much less time! Time is money in the repair business.

  • @davidmethvin1705

    It would be a better system for cracked deck or seat on heads not for block

      All the company needed was a cheap core to display how this stuff works. It makes this demo less expensive to produce. I'd compare it to people who port junk cylinder heads so that they are 100% ready to port good cylinder heads.
