Just curious, why does everyone hate Stariaat? I mean she isn’t the best animator but she is still pretty good in my opinion. In some of these animations I thought she animated better than the underrated animator. Did she do something sketchy that I don’t know about or all of you just jumping on the bandwagon?
The Dunce is prob the bandwagon effect. Personally I don't think ppl hate her but they react negatively because her animation tends to be really choppy and doesn't flow well. Sometimes it does but in her latest she puts less attention to the fluency of her animation and more on aesthetic. I don't hate her I just think she should try to make her stuff more smooth. Honestly I think she has a lot of potential. And I totally respect if you think otherwise.

I don’t really support videos that compare artist and animators, but I will admit that the underrated animators are usually better than stariaat with smoother animations and such. Plus, stariaat’s animation hasn’t really improved at all. However, there were a few that I think stariaat did better on. 1. Let’s Furry Together Meme While the other did have more pleasing and soft art as well as smoother animation, there wasn’t that much as there was on stariaat’s. 2. Dessert Meme It’s no contest. Star is clearly better. Some of the movements are actually pretty smooth/realistic, this was one of my favorites from her. I can see the effort put in. The underrated...what can I even say?? No animation. 0. Literally nothing. The art was nice, sure, but other than that, there was nothing special about it. And if they do actually animate other memes, and they ARE underrated, why didn’t you compare one of those? 3. Smile Meme The underrated “animator” had literally no animation? Besides the head bobbing, which is very overused. Stariaat’s had actual animation in it at least, even if it was a little choppy. And yes, she had headbobbing too, but I think now she’s fixed that habit (idk tho, haven’t watched her much recently). The smile meme is actually one of my favorite memes by stariaat because of the animation, and I think the art’s nice. Stariaat chooses to animate that way, that's her style. She can obviously draw really well based on her still images. I do think the underrated animators deserve more love and they are really good, but you can't really compare two different styles and ask which is better

They're both good. Although you've got to understand, Star cannot stop people from subscribing to her channel. Yes it may be choppy, but that doesn't mean she doesn't work hard. Also, Star's smoothest videos were compared to "animation memes" that didn't have any animations at all, but some of her more choppy animations were compared to amazing animators with very smooth animation (or visually appealing edits). it's not really about who really animates it better, because we all know stariiat loses (almost) all rounds, but the effort you put into it and willing to share your creation with others. that is truly what youtube is about.

Yamseen honestly I disagree. Starriat’s animations aren’t smooth and they don't have great movement. Her anatomy is all over the place and it often looks like the characters limbs are being broken, also her animations are so low effort it's ridiculous. Maybe 4/5 frames in a single animation.

stariaat's timelapse meme was pretty good, just the timing and the movement made me feel proud of her. yes, she needs improvement, but she can be original and good. even if her animation is choppy.
For everyone who’s like “it’s just her style”, I think they’re comparing the animation, Stariaat’s animation isn’t bad, but it has gotten choppy and there are notable inconsistencies from frame to frame. Well, most of the underrated animators have very smooth and fluid animation. And yeah, it is her style, but being inconsistent through frame to frame and having choppy animation isn’t a stylistic choice (I’m not hating on Stariaat, I’m subscribed to her and like her videos) Also, it’s human nature to compare things, it’s not throwing shade at Stariaat or any other animator mentioned, it’s just harmless fun....

I personally have no opinion on Stariaat. Same with wolfychu and a bunch of other popular animators. I just don't watch them and I also think some are overrated. Anyways... If I compare the ones from Stariaat with the underrated ones in the video then I have to say that Stariaats animations memes are a little better . Not because of the style, it's a style I personally don't like that much. I mean the animation and art generally. The animation is great and the art/lines look very clean and well done. She has them for a reason, she actually tries. When you really think about it, she has not been known for very long, like.. year and a half, or 2, around that. Animating is hard, especially when you dont just do the basic head bobbing, and tweening. It's time consuming and takes a long time to get good at it. She deserves her subscribers.
Don't compare animators because certain people animate in different ways. Personally I don't really consider tweening a form of animating, but it's effort. The style and amount of detail in someone's characters does NOT determine whether they're a good animator or not. What makes a good animator is anyone who puts forth their best effort and enjoyed making an animation. Stariaat obviously puts that effort and enjoyment in her animations. A lot of these other animators do too.

She has creative ideas although her animation is indeed a bit choppy. It's my opinion, so Star fans isn't go hating and defending her when people have different opinions about her.

Sure, it could be used as criticism, but the video didn't make it very clear. Also, Star's smoothest videos were compared to "animation memes" that didn't have any animations at all, but some of her more choppy animations were compared to amazing animators with very smooth animation (or visually appealing edits). There was hardly a middle ground. Either way, the video will hurt some people, Star or the underrated.

Yamseen honestly I disagree. Starriat’s animations aren’t smooth and they don't have great movement. Her anatomy is all over the place and it often looks like the characters limbs are being broken, also her animations are so low effort it's ridiculous. Maybe 4/5 frames in a single animation.

For everyone who’s like “it’s just her style”, I think they’re comparing the animation, Stariaat’s animation isn’t bad, but it has gotten choppy and there are notable inconsistencies from frame to frame. Well, most of the underrated animators have very smooth and fluid animation.
And yeah, it is her style, but being inconsistent through frame to frame and having choppy animation isn’t a stylistic choice (I’m not hating on Stariaat, I’m subscribed to her and like her videos)
Also, it’s human nature to compare things, it’s not throwing shade at Stariaat or any other animator mentioned, it’s just harmless fun....

Honestly I go for Stariat. Most use what she does as an idol. So they are doing the same thing. They have a different style so what? It may look better then her's but, she does great. If I compare the ones from Stariaat with the underrated ones in the video then I have to say that Stariaats animations memes are a little better . Not because of the style, it's a style I personally don't like that much. I mean the animation and art generally. The animation is great and the art/lines look very clean and well done.

Man a lot goes into how an animator gets famous. Stariaat has been uploading for years and the more you upload and frequency of uploads increases your chances with the RUclips algorithm. New account aren’t gonna get featured through RUclips as much until they upload more and more, it’s nothing to do with ability
a handful of those underrated animators has probably like the same skill level as stariaat so there's no point in comparing them anyway

I feel like that some people have the drawing skills but can’t exaggerate enough to get a good animation, but others have great but don’t have the all the drawing necessities like anatomy down. But once you get that then it’s considered good animation with only criticism to the plot/ style

She has them for a reason, she actually tries. When you really think about it, she has not been known for very long, like.. year and a half, or 2, around that. Don't compare animators because certain people animate in different ways. Personally I don't really consider tweening a form of animating, but it's effort. The style and amount of detail in someone's characters does NOT determine whether they're a good animator or not. What makes a good animator is anyone who puts forth their best effort and enjoyed making an animation. Stariaat obviously puts that effort and enjoyment in her animations. A lot of these other animators do too.
