Just started getting into GBL last season as a newer player, very appreciated Dan! Will help when the new season starts to have teams that are somewhat more sensible and help me push higher!
Great Video been watching for 2 seasons! just made it to veteran first time ever only played this season and last. Was having such a time swapping between balanced and ABB style teams and just went with out of left field BBB line triple water cause I wasn't seeing much Grass types in my bracket. Hey Dan, just hit legend thanks for all your vids! Was running Azu S-dragonair Gligar in catch cup but too many ice and fairies around. Switched Nair with Ferrothorn and it core broke the meta, went 21-25!
@@jerome462 I haven't tried shadow, had to purify mine bc missed the rocket event but think regular is better anyway. most things need two charge moves to kill except for waters
absolutely love this video, tysm. also i really like that there's no music in the back? dunno if i'm weird for that but it's so calming and less distracting. just grateful for that lmao. glad i found your channel!
Amazing video! I'll be watching this many times. Do you have a list of pokemon that covers each others weaknesses/is a good pair? A little bit overwhelming trying to find them my self.
Great videos, Dan - this is my third season and your info has be invaluable! Also, is there a graphics template (you list teams with pics and IVs). I want to keep a file with my favourite teams and your suggestions I can build toward. The graphics will help my planning brain. Thanks.
Hey Dan, thanks for all the amazing content. I’m still on my GBL journey and wanted to get your input on which Pokemon between Dewgong (10) OR Charizard (32) I should use my Elite Fast TM on? Numbers are their rank in GBL.
I’m still rank ACE right now, not playing much. But I’m running Shadow Sneasler with Noctowl and whiscash. So much fun, Sneasler hit so hard but so glassy, it face Alakazam in one match, 3 confusion took Sneasler down. And one match i had Sneasler with close combat loaded vs fully health Zweilous in the end game, one shot KO, it was so satisfied. 😂
I just lost to a cresselia with my jumpluff. It only had a shield, confusion and only grass knot as a charge move. I couldn't take it down with my fast neutral hits. It was spamming grass knot and won with it.
The only reason I like ABB teams is I hate getting triple RPS'd. Nothing infuriates me more especially with a well balanced team. Of course it can still happen with an ABB line but its much more unlikely.
yes! perfect example of a 'whiteboard' vid; quality over quantity. no need to spend half the day editing GBL when you get the same message across with this. the strategy of how meta teams run against the meta is more valuable at this point than showcasing instantly forgettable battles. I think of consistency more in terms of a neutral balance of damage output between fast/charge moves. like, imagine how the opponent's heath drains- is it all at once or steadily? dragonair steadily depletes between fast moves and lower/medium hitting charge moves. basti/wiggly steadily depletes, getting up to charge moves that don't hit super hard due to low attack stats. Contrast togedemaru- it either drains all at once or barely at all. Stunfisk too is all charge moves and the damage varies whether you go for RS or EQ.

This helped me go from my previous max of 2100 to 2300 in a day. Thanks for the ideas!

I like the idea that one must get used to play with some mons instead of copying teams am hoping that wins will come!
Needed this. Thanks.

Great video
Thanks! I would have loved to see like a win loose chart.
Like aba wins vs Abb. Balanced is good vs X. Y is good vs z
Etc pp

Thanks for repeating "there's not a lot of fairies around" so many times... My SGranbull will enjoy it a lot!
