Thanks for this review. Just started riding last season and have been watching tons of your videos all year picking up tips. Purchased last season's Prime 163W as my first board last week (and a pair of Arbor Hemlock bindings based on the review Kevin did). Just waiting on some snow.
I bought the same exact board and have been riding it. I really like it, but it is my first board. I have noticed a lot of chips on the top layer. I am having a hard time buttering though, wonder if it's because of the length. Would love to hear your thoughts
Havent watched a review in a while as I bought the yes jackpot last autumn but still haven’t been able to take to a resort yet because covid but god damn these new reviews are good.
I have older one but with Team bindings... I hope it will not kill me.. anyway thank You for your work and reviews.. Will be nice to have somebody like you in Europe 👍
Hey Avran, love your reviews, thank you for your expertise. Wanted to get your opinion on a topic, do you recommend detuning edges for rails? I've heard mixed opinions on this overall. I'm getting into jibbing, still a beginner, I've done some board slides on boxes while having sharp edges, I haven't been thrown over yet, but I'm still apprehensive on trying to board slide a full on rail.
I just got this board in 159W, I'm 5'11" 185lbs. Have about two full weeks of boarding under my belt and can hit blues with ease and some blacks. Is this the right board for me? Plan on taking it up annually to hit the slopes
Thanks man, just got one for myself but haven’t tried it yet. I’m snowboarding for 15 years and weight 110kg, so I got the biggest one they have - 165 cm wide. Do you think it was a good idea? I don’t really go into powder so it’s main purpose for me is riding the pists
@@AngrySnowboarder no I’m not, I would say my riding is 5-6 out of 10. Where 10 is a pro rider. But I don’t really what to spend a lot and I’m looking for a large board because of my weight
I just started snowboarding on the Prime Raw 165w since I'm 6'5" 240 w/ size 13 feet and already want something with a little more to offer in terms of stiffness since I feel like I'm going to buckle it carving, there have been a few times at speed where it starts howling and vibrating violently through the whole length of the board which makes for some interesting looks for others on the slope. what all mountain boards would you recommend for someone on the larger side that are beginner friendly and not going to snap in half just riding flat out?
Definitely was a rider issue, I have 17 days on it now and can confirm I sucked and it's actually a great board once I learned to handle it instead of just bombing around on it like an out of control moron.
I'm really debating between this board and a more medium stiff board I consider myself a beginner getting into the intermediate rider I wanna use it to learn how to Carve and bomb hills I probably won't hit faster than 40 Miles an hour 50 is my goal what do you think thanks in advance
My favorite angry snowboarder quote:
“Hey I’m gonna hold you and we’re gonna slide right through this feature” lol
Bought the 2024 prime today and took it down Gore. It's the same now as it was then, your review is spot on haha.
Just bought the board yesterday so this was a super helpful review! Thanks a ton

If you haven’t been able to go to the resort, why haven’t you watched all the reviews?

It's all personal preference bud.

It's fine.

It's a beginner board. Are you a beginner?

The recommend bindings is a nice touch.
Nice brosferatu. Real nice
The undead brosferatu, out there stoking from beyond the grave.

Maybe learn some skills before trying to charge flat out? Seems like a logical idea to not point it from the top when you don't have fundamentals.

I'd probably go a little stiffer than this.
@@AngrySnowboarder Thax 4 the quick response. Last question, which would you recommend?
Fastest I've gone is 33 mph on the K2 fatbob.
@@AngrySnowboarder Okay I have a narrow down on 2 boards the/brainstorm 2024 154CM. Or GNU Finest Asym C2X Snowboard 2024.
The Brainstorm is going to eat you alive as you don't have the skills for it and the Finest is super soft.
@@AngrySnowboarder dammit im confused now lol. I don't what to buy.
Man, the graphic is just too clean. Those lib tech graphics are driving me crazy 🥴
What about a d1 dupraz reviwe?
Yeah probably not going to happen.
Can you do raíl tricks on this board
Can you do rail tricks?

Do you think the 165w would be good for me? I am 6’3 235lbs and size 11
If you're just starting out, sure. If you know how to ride, no.
@@AngrySnowboarder I’ve been riding for over 6 years now. What size board would you recommend for me?
Купил себе недавно такую доску, пока что не катал.
Donde esta el bano un gato en sus pantalones es malo.
Thanks brudda
