Tears to my eyes. There is so much in my childhood to remember. You had sung it so beautfiully and touching. 綠島(Green Island) was a an island for political imprisonment in Taiwan back in 1950s. It is not just a love song of the composer given to his wife. It is collective melancholy of those in pain and suffering of an age.
So touching as soon as hearing this classic song and tears to my eyes. Said by my mother that the song was sung while my father dated her. I really love this gorgeous melody. Thank you.
