Thank you so much for helping people. Your podcasts are as much for the person suffering from substance abuse as it is for the family members. I am a Mom of a drug user here in Florida and we have been struggling with her drug problem for over 16 years, with her having a clean spell for about 6 years after she successfully completed drug court. Back then there were no podcasts. Now it's been about 7 years of her on again off again drug use, mainly on again, and your messages have helped me so very much to understand her struggle more. After she recently successfully completed another program I always play your podcasts for her as we are driving in the car and it has helped her and jeeps me settled. My son is homeless, right now and threatening suicide. I called the police and they talked to him on the phone. Because he said he wasn’t suicidal so they aren’t doing anything else. This is happening right now and I don’t know if I should go look for him now . He has also blocked me on his phone.
We need someone to talk to!
