As a dancer who has grown up with Asian and European dance, its obvious they were inspired by the Mayyas, just as the Mayyas were clearly inspired by the “Thousand Hand Bodhisattva” dancers from china - similar hand and controlled body movements are seen all over Asia and the Middle East, from the traditional dancers of Thailand, to the dancers of Indonesia. There’s a clear connection between traditional dance and modern dance, to be inspired by a dance is to help it evolve into something different. Do your research instead of being nasty towards dancers who work very hard. No dance can be stolen, it’s a shared expressive art form for all to enjoy, and hopefully that is what will keep it alive for thousands of years to come!
I disagree , the Maya’s are obviously excellent.. but these were to.. check out the Italys got talent of the black widows.. no one can deny there talent & also the talents of the choreographer, & who ever mixed this to. 👌

Literally watch the front girl grow up before your eyes. They have only performed two routines. The did two on their native country Got Talent, Italy. Their 2nd routine was not good at all compared to Mayyas that did much more. Get out of here with your opinion

I made a nice comment based on this performance, I've never seen them before so to me they were pretty good, and I'm entitled to my opinion just like anyone else is!! Are you sure they don't just have the same inspirations? The Mayyas as amazing as they are did not invent this style of dance and they don't own it. Btw toxic fans never help their idols ... they do the opposite.

The Mayyas can't be replaced. This is boring, they were artistic and passionate.

Honestly? No, they're not the new Mayyas. They're talented, absolutely, but they've done several GT competitions with the exact same costume, dance, song, etc. The Mayyas have an amazing creative director who can come up with beautiful new dances consistently; Black Widow does the exact same performance every time, and it's heavily based on what the Mayyas have already done (they did the long, red sparkly claws at an Arabian GT competition).
They're not the new Mayyas. They're a shadow of the Mayyas. They would do better trying to come up with their own, original dances.

These ladies are more polished, their movements especially the strobe effect was nothing like the Maya's did

You heard of music one hit wonders? Well Black Widow is one dance routine wonders. Look them up and all you see this exact dance routine over past 4 years in many Got Talent shows across different countries. The only show they got a chance to do a 2nd routine on was their home country of Italy and it was bad!!!

1- mayyas went TO AMERICA'S GOT TALENT not to to whatever got talent.
2- they got golden buzzer
3- they won 2 got talent (black widow went to 2 and didn't win anything...)
4- black window copied the clothes design from mayyas
5- mayyas are more beautiful with their performances
6- black window did the SAME performance every time on every got talent... like it's boring
note: I'm not saying that this performance is not beautiful (it's amazing) but I'm saying that the title should be changed cz they will never be "the new mayyas"

Yes they are the same, and they "copied" (or at least let's say they took a very strong inspiration) from The Mayyas' act presented in Britain's got talent 2019.
And the Mayaas themselves took inspiration from a choreography by Zhang Jigang called "Thousand hands Bodhisattva".
THE MAYA’S HAD MORE VARIATION !!! BLACK WIDOW is a copy by amateurs, i’m sorry competition is very high !!! The level is higher( AGT AND BGT have groupes from japan and other groups with other movements)!!!L.M.

All forms of dance is shared through inspiration, they have not directly replicated an entire dance from Mayyas, but even if they did, that is how dance lives on! We would not have traditional dance if it were not for sharing exact movements - its like saying Swan Lake is of less value as a dance because its been performed thousands of times since 1877! It’s just absurd! Please educate yourself! The hate towards these dancers is horrible and completely unnecessary.

People are so quick to be nasty out of ignorance, but if they understood performing arts then they would only praise good dancers, no matter where the dance originated from. These hand movements in traditional dance can be seen all over Asia, I know this as fact because I grew up in Malaysia, learning Chinese, Thai, Malay, Indonesian, Arab and Indian traditional dance.
