We add creamed corn to shepherds pie. I've seen it put into soups or stews. I think some recipes for cornbread or corn pudding use creamed corn. Pinterest is a great place to look for inspiration.
Mum used creamed corn for a corn chowder base. She also made a corn and cheese soufflé type dish with creamed corn that I could see everyone enjoying. Also, my friend made corn and cheese muffins so yummy. But it does freeze well too. I’m glad to see you get such a lovely Christmas parcel. ❤
Sending a wave and hello from a very very cold Dorset in the UK . Creamed corn soup , creamed corn fritters ( vary the herb/ spices in them to keep them interesting ) corn muffins ( I’m not to keen on sweet so I dial the sugar down or experiment with a bit of sweet potato that’s not sugar sweet . I would also package up and freeze it or bulk bake / cook and freeze . Could also work with left over turkey or chicken as a pie / pasty filling or as a filling topped with mash , a cobbler or through pasta with a bit or ham mixed through as well . Great hamper and I’m sure what ever you did with it was wonderful .
Hi Victoria! Thanks so much for the terrific meal suggestions using the creamed corn (I haven't opened it just yet). Those recipe ideas are super helpful-I hadn't thought to use it as pie/pasty filling or through pasta, but that would work well! 😋 Hope you have a great week over there🥰 Keep warm!
hi I love your videos. The creamed corn could be used to make a soup fry onion and salt and pepper milk corn then heat on stove top serve with toast . the soup could have celery bacon diced and cup of cheese grated for added flavour. you have probably used the packet mix I have seen people add the soda into the mixture for flavour . Enjoy the holidays with your children
I hope you and your family had lovely holidays. I know this was filmed before, but yes you can freeze canned corn. just not in the can. I haven't had that flavor of the tea infusions, but I have had other flavors and brands. You put the teabag into a bottle of cold water, let sit at least 15 minutes. It gives you lovely flavored water without sugar or sweetener, and no caffeine. I love them. I've never had honeycomb, but I know some people eat the honeycomb. Some people don't like the texture, but it is actually the healthiest form of honey as the comb contains a lot of minerals and enzymes in it.
Thanks MJ, we did, hope you did too. That's good to know about the canned corn and thanks heaps for sharing that information about the tea infusions and the honeycomb! I’m excited to try both. 🍯😊
Great pantry blessings. You can freeze some of the corn, you can make corn chowder, put some in cornbread, use some in a soup. On side as a veg at a meal. That was awesome of them to give you that big can. God bless you all, take care.
It seems so strange you talking about Christmas and it being so hot, here where I live in the US it is cold and everyone or most are always wanting snow at Christmas. We didn't have snow at Christmas but right now there is 5 to 6 inches of snow on the ground. Nice Christmas box.
I hope you had a Wonderful Christmas 🎅🏼⛄️✝️and Happy New Year ! 🎊🍾🥂 You received such a great Christmas hampers along with everything else . At the end what was the huge fruit? you were holding ? Have a wonderful weekend . 🤠👍💕💕
Thanks so much, Felicia! We had a lovely Christmas, hope you did too. The big fruit at the end was a mango🥭😋 Hope you have a great week and fantastic 2025 too! 🥰
G'day Happy New Year..because it's hot here..how about making corn fritters or corn piglets.. add some grated onions and herbs...they freeze well too..Karolyn Melbourne
Thanks so much, Lisa🥰 We're blessed indeed. Best wishes to you and your family for a fantastic 2025 as well! Hope you have a nice weekend too, my friend💕
Happy 2025😊bring on the corn fritters! You can definitely freeze the creamed corn into smaller portions. I wonder if the vanilla cake mix is part of a trifle kit....there is the jelly- vanilla cream mix- passion fruit pulp and then possibly the vanilla cake as the sponge? Such a well thought out Christmas hamper😊. Happy cooking!
Thanks so much, Nmarie🥰 Best wishes for a fantastic 2025 to you too! Oh, I love corn fritters-those would be so good!😋 Yes, I think you might be right; there are the makings of a trifle there, aren’t there?!
Hopefully the had a good festive season with your family and friends.😊Fabulous gift 🎁 for the family. Christmas 🎄 hampers are a great bonus to families. Fruit and vegetable looked very tasty. The creamed corn will freeze, just give it a good stir when defrosted. I used to serve creamed corn over jacket potatoes with sausages. Nice video 👍🇦🇺

You got some great things! I have tried a tea like that but it was mango orange flavor I believe. It was pretty good but I just prefer other tea rather than fruit teas.
Thanks! 😊 Ooh, mango orange flavour sounds delicious! Yes, you can't beat a good cup of tea (I think English Breakfast or maybe ginger might be my favourites). I love trying new ones, though, so this new infusion one sounds fun!
Hope you and your family had a happy Christmas. So nice to hear the crickets in the background and see your lovely garden. We are expecting snow in Washington state, USA.

You could add creamed corn to almost any soup or casserole. It is lovely to see the fruit in your garden. We have lots of citrus groves here in Yuma. And they recently harvested the lemons. And today Isaw the first roadside stand with strawberries 🎉🎉 We have had 3 days of high winds with blowing sands. Not pleasant. But my heart just breaks for the thousands of people in Los Angeles who have lost everything because of the Santa Ana winds driving those wild fires… I hope your kiddos had a great time over the holidays. Looking forward to your videos, ❤Cathe

Was that a mango tree and passion fruit vines? I was so happy this year the first time I tasted the Maypop that volunteered in my yard. I didn’t even know we had a native passion fruit but they are delicious and I can’t wait for next season.
Hey Christine! Yes, they are, well spotted! You may recall that I planted a passionfruit vine outside the fence of my garden, early on after I made the garden... well that same vine has now taken over and is now growing over nearby trees and bushes (as well as the garden fence I was trying to train it over)! I have given up trying to stop it because it's happy and covered in fruit! Your Maypop sounds fantastic, the native plants usually always grow better I find. 😊💕
@ absolutely! I’m jealous you can grow some pretty cool stuff like mango. I’m growing things under grow lights and in my southern windows because we have about 6 inches of snow right now.
I'm really glad I watched this video. I've gotten a lot of interesting ideas I never heard of tuna and tomato and onion I got a lot of tuna over here in America as well so I'll be trying that for sure sounds like it'll be lovely. You have given me a lot of inspiration with this video.

Hello MEM. I hope you had a lovely festive season, and hope 2025 will be a great year for you. Our Christmas and ne year was very quiet, just me and my other half, but it was still nice.
We could do with some Summer vibes here in the UK, as it is FREEZING, as I am writing this, it is -1c, going down to -3 later in the night. Never mind, in 6 months time I will probably be complaining it is to hot.
What a good box of food you got. I can recommend the Linda McCartney sausages, they are the ones we eat mostly.
Much love and respect as always my friend. xxxx
PS I don't remember how my parents got the honey out, but an uncle of mine kept a couple of hives when I was young, and would give us some honeycomb now and then. I do remember it was delicious. x.
Hi Jo! Thank you so much, glad to hear you had a nice Christmas. We, like the both of you had a quiet but lovely Christmas at home. Hope you're keeping warm over there, those temps sound chilly!!
Yes, we did enjoy the Linda McCartney sausages, they were quite good-it really was a lovely box of food, so helpful and thoughtful. Am looking forward to using that beautiful honey as well.

Just knife out piece of honey comb and spread on toast ❤

I have to add I'm not a fan of Vegemite and yes I have tried it😊😊😊❤❤❤.
Haha, yes, Vegemite definitely isn't for everyone - it's one of those love-it-or-hate-it things! 😄 But hey, at least you gave it a go!
That was a typo!..meant to say pikelets!!..I think you knew what I meant..purely for other countries watching..Karolyn
Hehe, that's no worries, I knew what you meant lol! 😂
What are the fruits on the trees please?
The first ones are mangoes and the ones at the end of the clip are passionfruit😊
