- An enchanting video, filmed with a DJI Mini 3 Drone, dancing around a pretty windmill.
Originally constructed circa 1840, the Haigh Windmill is an unmistakeable landmark set within agricultural fields contained within the Haigh Hall Estate. The windmill is Grade II listed and was built to pump water from the nearby ponds uphill to the Haigh Brewery.
The Haigh windmill, constructed in brick, with a timber roof, underwent a program of restoration in the late 1970s and as a result a new roof was constructed of glass fibre. The existing sails have suffered repeatedly from storm damage, with lost or broken timbers and the brickwork is showing extensive areas of decay, with failed pointing and spalled brick facing. In 2011 with the help of a grant from Heritage Lottery Fund’s, the windmill has been repaired and restored so that it can be maintained for future generations.

Nice aerial view with drone! This video gives me a good experience as if I were flying over there! Appreciate sharing your good work! Like 1!
Thank you for your feedback 🙂 This was all flown manually, with no automatic modes/quickshots etc, all manual, I was just having fun flying on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
very nice footage ! and good quality ! I subscribe !
Thanks for your kind comments, I have also subscribed to your channel
Is that windmill on the way down to Haigh Hall in Wigan by any chance? Looks very much like it. I’m watching this from Perth, Australia but I’m from Wigan. Nice video btw. Good footage. I’m just waiting for my M3P to be returned by DJI as mine sadly had the fogging lens issue.
Hi Stuart, thanks for commenting, sorry to hear about the issue you had with yours... It is indeed Haigh windmill 🙂
Beltin video as always. What video editing prog do you use?
Hi Chris, thanks for the compliment 🙂 I use two different video editors, either Cyberlink Power Director, or Filmora X, depending on how I want to edit it. This particular video was edited using Filmora X.
