Go the new oil rig and defeat the chopper then wait 5 mins and open the chest. If you don’t get anything good respawn and load a save before you opened the chest then try again as many times as you want
I have been tempted to go with the compound bow but the semi auto rifle damage was basically equivalent and buying the ammo for the rifle isnt bad at all especially with my noble/fine furs team to reduce costs. I prefer purchasing ammo over having to craft it as money isnt a huge issue
spoiler for katana/beam sword: They are NOT better on things than a test dummy. Unless you're fighting something the size of an alpaca king or jormungtide, you're just going to whiff, a lot. The new swords feel really bad to use...
Just a heads up, the weapon schematics do drop from some of the chests on feybreak island. I got a legendary laser gatling schematic from the chests in the Kitsun Noct boss cave. I've never raided any of the oil rigs.
Like at 09:20.. literally what the actual f--k!! Like the percentage of those schematics dropping is like 0.06% or less!! Like what are these devs thinking and with such low chances!! What is the actual point of ever trying to get those schematics?? Like we will all die from old age before any of us find one!!
it was the same with the Sakurajima update on the old Oil Rig. you couldnt even get the normal Quad Launcher any other Way and it had abyssmal Droprates. I wouldnt even mind Dungeon running for it but the new Oil Rig is just dumb, every Grunt has 50.000 HP for no Reason
@@fuchsmichael93 Like I tried to go near the oil rig and it was pointless as I was being shot through everything.. walls.. items.. buildings.. structures.. it was literally pointless to go there!! If I made it onto the oil rig then I would be 1 shot by the OP characters there!! I have not been back since!! Either way those drop rates are so close to non-existent that they might as well not exist hey!!
So what would be the best weapon now in the game? I would love to see a comparison between the Grenade launcher, multi missle launcher (aka Quad) and the Plasma gun
Meowmere is perfect for safespotting legendaries. It's insanely durable. It won't do a ton of damage, but you won't be wasting a ton of ammo on the legendary pals. I've taken down Frostallion, Jetragon, Necromus and Palladius, as well as using the weapon exclusively from level 30-36 and then off and on (currently level 54). I haven't repaired it once, and I still have like 33% of it's durability left. This thing lasts forever. It can also multi hit large enemies, like tower bosses or alpha pals. So even though it only does like 60 damage a swing, it'll do it 3 or 4 times. Has unlimited ammo, because it doesn't use ammo, and is a free ranged attack. honestly pretty solid.
I can’t find any revolver schematics I want to make a stronger one but nowhere online is saying anything so idk if anyone knows where you can find one?
In my randomized playthrough, I've taken a liking to the compound bow. If I need a big hit, I can fully charge and aim for a headshot. However, it's also good for chipping down Pals that you want to catch when you don't have it fully charged. My main character doesn't have a ring of mercy, so it can be helpful when my other weapons are currently either a pickaxe, a hand torch, a shotgun, or an smg, the latter two of which aren't known for such delicate chipping of enemies. Makes me want to try out the hexalite bow once I get more levels and can unlock it.
does anyone know where we can get the legendary schematics once the pal alpha bosses have changed? my Blazamaut is now Tarantriss and i didnt get to grab the legendary assault rifle schematic yet :/
Legendary plasma cannon is the strongest dps but also extremely expensive with it only have 600 durability (yes at legendary grade). To get an idea everytime you shoot the thing it costs 1 plasteel and 0.67 hexolite in repairs.

There is also a new tek skill that's purple its the cloud you can make, it'll teleport you to your nearest base even over weight.

@ the lvl 50 rig or the new one thats like lvl 20? Cus everytime i’ve gone to the lower level one it has no helicopter

I cap all my ammo in one big chest by letting my pal mine sulfur and charcoal on base tech I live it afk and I'm making a lot of material

I like the new plasma / electric weapons. And it's nice that Pocketpair adds more early game weapons making the game more fun.

Hope they fix the lazer sword to be a normal attack. so it can double as a pickaxe or regular axe lol
Or maybe give the character a fighting style with it like there previous game "Craftopia" to be honest the melee in that game was not bad.
