The composition and subtlety is definitely there she just needs to improve the execution. She has the imagination and the mind of an artist without the technical know-hows. Thats not an insult either, the way she uses the tools given to her is so interesting.

I’m reminded of Picasso reacting to prehistoric cave paintings. “None of us could paint like that.” There’s something primordial in Korone’s art, like it taps into deep pleasures of sight.
Let's not forget that he also said it took years to learn to paint like a master, but a lifetime to paint like a child.

I've always thought that she's really talented at art. She may not be super technically skilled, but she has the thing that's most difficult to learn, if not impossible: creativity and eccentricity
Exactly, she has this uncontained creativity of a child. In all the positive implications.
Honestly she has an immense amount of creativity, plus she intuitively has a lot of the basics of painting/art like composition, color contrast/dynamics, and emphasis (story-telling) with her art. As the other commenter said, she's got that child-like eye for creativity which is a genuine superpower, particularly in the world of art. In all seriousness, Korone could have been a successful artist if she wanted to, especially now since she has such a vast streaming audience.
I'm a professional artist by trade and Korone is top-tier. She has an eye for composition, color, and that spark of genuine creativity that so few are able to harness. I don't think a single thing she's drawn has been generic or overly derivative, just truly unique.
I've heard her described as an Outsider Artist before, she's got that creative spark and eye for interesting composition without any formal training or following typical artistic conventions.
I think her art is incredibly fascinating to behold, and gives a little insight into the completely unique way her mind works... we also get a glimpse of that in every "ending making time" segment lol

True, her design of the Koronesuki/listener-san is her most iconic. Seeing her draw that bald headed icon of her fandom in the most randomest of her streams and then saying it's us was magical. It still stands as one of Hololive's iconic fan representation of all the fan mascots.
Seriously when she did a collab art with other vtuber (there are clips of it) her drawin and describing it was out of this world and everyone just couldn't follow

It's really crazy that if you give Korone the right tools, then she'd be able to express her artworks in creative ways.
The airbrush paintings in particular worked really well for what she was trying to convey. Those are the kind of mural designs that you'd see on school walls or in children's books.
I also find it fascinating how Mio immediately saw a cardiogram from the split rendition of FubuMio. I guess her mind is still lingering on from the hospital stay.
Raden should do a gallery of this dogs art, her style is very distinct 🤌🏻

to some degree, there's a lot of genius in doing more with less. it did not immediately occur to me to use a round tool twice for crescent shapes like eyes and mouth! but, my background isn't in art drawing so i expect my tools to directly send my ideas into being.

Korone needs to do an irl painting stream. Like go totally wild with splatters and spray paints and paint knives and w/e. Maybe like a 1 hr lesson before hand just so she knows what to expect a bit. And then sell the paintings for charity or something. She could collab with Raden.
The process looked so simple yet the outcome was a masterclass in its own. I am definitely inspired by her methods.
God I love my Kami-oshi. She really makes her own ideas come to life and the result always leave an impact on us! When I saw the MioLisa and the Picasso Fubu Mio I can't help but be amazed.
The fact she used this game about selling art banking on the concept of Mio's popularity boom after her return just has that unique comedic touch Korone has.

I really like the second fubumio art, like unironically. The composition is really creative and the dividing line with their noses overlayed on the other with the simple eyes and smile has a unique sense of fondness, if that makes sense?? Very fun piece of art

Even watching the way she approaches forming her artwork it's really impressive how she approaches shapes and ideas just building in a particular direction like working from the bottom up in the Mio Lisa or the hospital visit one. Truly an artist in the truest sense of the word.

I think what makes Korone a genuine artist is that she doesn't half-ass her drawings, she puts all her focus and effort into them and that's honestly commendable. She whole-asses it, as it were.
Koro-san has a creative vision I very much envy. Maybe it's because of the spray, but her paiting of Mio Lisa actually felt profissional.
That's why Korone is the reigning Artist of the Millenium.
If Korone decided to do an art exhibition or created merch of her paintings, it would sell out immediately. Not only due to her popularity but also because she has that rare child-like creativity that everyone can relate to and enjoy. Not to mention, she is intuitively skilled at painting on a technical level, it wouldn't take much for her to refine her skills to approach a more professional level.

The 2nd FubuMio painting, for me, is like one of those clever logos using negative space. Even the line dividing them could be - maybe - an artistic "f" & "m."
