- After a few day at Forster Tuncurry, it's time to head for Nelson Bay.
We cruise extensively along the East Australian Coast on our 13 meter catamaran. Join us as we explore new cruising grounds, cross bars, fix all kinds of problems, ride out rough weather and live aboard for extended periods.
We even have a playlist that gets us on other peoples boats.
We hope that our videos encourage others to get on board and experience this fantastic lifestyle.

Cruising East Coast Australia
How nice it was to meet up with your mate! Now you are a radio star as well. Love how easy it is to launch the dinghy, with just a line or two and down she drops! You seem to have friends wherever you travel and good on you for that. It just shows how “worldly” you are Norm. Oh yes, seeing and hearing you singing was a real treat! You should entertain us like that more often.
Thanks mate.
Never real sure about the voice, but thanks for the kind words. Meeting lots of great people, mainly through the channel.
There are some great folks out there.
Having the dinghy easy to launch and retrieve is a great benefit.
Cheers Dude.
Norms talents never end guitar and singing
Yeah. An old dude with a guitar and not such a great voice.
Thanks for the comments Allan.
Thanks Norm another great video you are getting me motivated to go cruising and will be hopefully by the middle of the year
Great Rick,
Lucky there's plenty of ocean out there for us all to share.
Be good to see you out there Dude.
Me too.. Perfect timing
Thanks for the great trip Norm... There,'s So many lovely spots on the Coast of NSW....made me feel nostalgic... I'll have to join you on the next part of your journey.. 😀 Stay Safe
The NSW coast is great Susan. Plenty to explore.
Good to see this part of the world. I've only managed an overnighter there. Also nice to see the moorings being maintained, we went to pick one up outside of the Nelson Bay boat harbour and every one of them had a warning label saying they were unsafe. Guess where we ended up.
I hope in the marina and not On the beach Phil. The marina is pretty exy.....but not as exy as the beach.
Cheers Dude.
Hi Norm, I really enjoyed this video. i love seeing the unique places you travel too. Makes me look forward to my future as soon as I can get u dream built. Happy sailing mate. :-)
Keep at it Dude,
The lifestyle is great. The last untouched frontier. Love it.
I really enjoy the vids and am very jealous of your lifestyle. 👍👍
Thanks Dude,
Guess there is a few armchair sailors out there and I fell privileged to share my adventures with you.
Cheers mate.
@@MotorSailingforOldDudes I’m an ex Navy and would love to be able to do what your doing. Fair winds and following seas.
Great video norm , I was at point lookout pub a couple of days ago having a beer with a mate and I was wearing your shirt and he recognized your picture and said you came over and drank with them in musgrave , small world mate , he has a 42 Grand Banks called doctor blue
Yeah Richard,
Remember Doctor Blue very well. The boys were having a great time in Mussy and I gave them a little bit of a hand.
Cheers mate.
Happy New Year Norm ,nice to hear you on the guitar mate could do with a bit more of that.
Thanks Michael, Never sure how i sound.
Cheers Dude.
I have never seen temps remotely near 39 deg.C. CHEERS from viewers in Western Canada! 5deg C at present.
Had a 41c the other day Darryl, but on the whole it has been a cold wet summer here. Very overcast and wet. No 5c though.
Think that would kill this Dude.
Use to play Ice Hockey as a young bloke and met lots of Canuks.
Cheers Dude thanks for commenting.
Is this filmed on a new camera norm?
Yeah Ben,
Some on the new and some on the old. Better clips with the new one(bigger sensor) and great in low light.
Cheers Dude.
@@MotorSailingforOldDudes yeah you can definitely tell. Looks awesome.
