You asked if vaggie and Carmilla are related, and while you add the edit saying you know they're not, I’ve started to think about that and I wonder if Vaggie could be Carmilla’s daughter. If you think about it, it actually makes sense. Imagine Vaggie lived just enough more virtuously that, when whatever killed her, Carmilla, and her sisters happened, she went to heaven while her mother and sisters went to hell. Her feeling more at home in hell, and that it’s where people who understand her are, would make perfect sense if she lived her mortal life raised and surrounded by sinners. It could explain both her mercy and the brutality Adam mentioned. Brutality because of anger over the things that she saw or experienced in life, and the mercy because they’d still be the sort of people she knew, and she could understand and empathize with them in a way most angels couldn’t.
It would also fit wonderfully with how she and Carmilla seem to be so much on the same wavelength, both in “Whatever It Takes” and in other things. And, while Carmilla’s protectiveness towards her daughters is already understandable, if she was only able to find two of her three children after dying, it makes even more sense. As for why she doesn’t recognize Vaggie. Well, aside from the obvious fact that people’s appearances change after death, we know Adam renamed her so that would add a layer of confusion. As far as Vaggie not recognizing Carmilla goes, well, I’m suspicious as heck about what actually goes on in heaven so I’m willing to accept that there’s a reason and we just don’t know it yet.
But yeah, there’s just symmetry between those two that would work perfectly for a mother daughter relationship. Vaggie climbs to one of the top spots in the exorcists while Carmilla rose to become an overlord. In this song, Vaggie has the same attitude and even sings the same words about protecting and taking care of those she loves, which could just be a song thing, but could also be the result of having been raised by Carmilla. And of course there's the way they always seem to be paired up in songs. And then there's the way they both speak Spanish. On it's own that means nothing of course, but the show makes a point of both of them speaking it, while everyone else always speaks English, so with the rest of the evidence, it seems like one more hint..
Honestly, I’m really hoping this is the case. Charlie has a loving father in Lucifer, but Vaggie really doesn’t have anyone other than Charlie. It would be great if Vaggie ended up having a mom like Carmilla.
You make some really good points, and looking back on it, I may have developed a good theory about the relationship between Vaggie and Carmilla. However, I decided to go with that edit and conclude that they aren't related because at a present-time's perspective I knew it wasn't the case for now. Although, you never know what can happen in the future. Things could take a turn.
Interesting revelation with who killed the angel. And why.
The Vee’s may be terrible, but who is your favorite out of them?
Definitely Velvette
@@FritzRolle732 Same here!
Me too, Vox is second, and Valentino….Pretty sure we all have the same answer here.
I disagree. Out of the three, Valentino is my favorite character. I hate his guts, but he's by far the most interesting and well written of the three. Second is Vox who has an interesting dynamic with Alastor. As for Velvette, I hardly see the point of her. Maybe she'll get some interesting character development or something in Season 2, but as for now, she's just... there.
@@Djorgalvelvette is the backbone of the vee's
Zestial would have destroyed her if Carmilla did not step in. Sorry I am late to the party.
You’re good. Also, true dat. Though, not that she needed it.😉
Vaggie ! ❤
I see a lot of people dismiss everything Velvet says as her being just a cocky brat. I actually think she has a lot of good points, but Zestial did too.
You see at the moment the song starts that she's caught off guard by Carmilla getting up in her face. The Overlords largely seem to not be very confrontational with each other, and I think that's why she is so surprised.
You see Velvet have a moment where she smiles before she hops into the song. Velvet didn't expect to get Carmilla to lose her cool, but the fact Carmilla did means Velvet really struck a nerve. So Velvet keeps pushing to get Carmilla to say something she shouldn't, and Velvet succeeds.
